I've definitely thrown out a good handful of plants. They just didn't spark ✨joy✨ anymore lol I try to sell or give away. But people are needy on marketplace and I gave up😅 My favorite place to vacation? I haven't really traveled, but I went to Toronto last year and I absolutely loved it!
I know editing puts you back in front of a computer screen but I truly enjoy your videos. I am in the phase of exhausted with plants myself and I don't have the energy to deal with more problems so out they go. I live in the mountains and they get to become compost.

I am a little obsessed with plants, I have cuttings rooting everywhere and not just babies of the mother plants but generations of them! My grandchildren say "Nana you have a LOT of plants". I think I may have close to 200 too, including the outdoor plants in planters and the succulents in the greenhouse. I have restarted my Staghorn fern (btw I love your staghorn ferns display) because it had a severe scale infestation. This week, I'm feeling very sad as I overwatered my beautiful painted leaf begonia (which I rescued originally from a single leaf about 5 years ago) and then made the mistake of repotting it to a different soil composition to get the roots out of the wet soil. I don't think it's leaves are going to recover and it may need to be restarted. Sigh. My friends give me their plants (orchids, christmas cactus, amaryllis) to 'doctor' after they finish blooming and they have all rebloomed again with a little love. After watching your Hoya Haul video I purchased my first Hoya and now have three, all varieties of the Hoya Carnosa. I was inspired by your track lighting videos and purchased some for my little greenhouse after watching it. Thank you for your inspiration and knowledge! I've been following you for several years when I have time as I learn so much from your videos and you make me laugh! I hope you have a wonderful very well-deserved vacation! ♥♥
When I was drowning in African violets, I would take trays of them to my work, slap a "free" sign on them, and they would be gone in a flash. People love free stuff. I also made peace with just tossing plants that I didn't love, or were infested with something, or looked crappy. In this phase of my planty journey, I'm more-or-less doing the same. Giving them away if I can, tossing them if they aren't worth giving away. I have thrown away many, many plants both then and now. I can be pretty brutal about it, but you have to do what you have to do. Favorite vacation place: Nags Head, North Carolina.
And I forgot I always wanted to go Alaska! I went about 8 years ago I can’t believe it’s been that long but it has 😢 I’ve been trying to get back ever since! I know you will enjoy your time back in Sicily!! 🎉
My mom used to give any ailing plant, indoor or outdoor, a stern talking to. If they didnt listen and no improvement after awhile, into the pooper they went!
I get two spotted mites 🤦🏼♀️ I HATE them. And you’re right there is no way to totally get rid of them. After treatment the plants grow gang busters! I have such a hard time just throwing out a plant. But I’m getting so much better at it 😂. Thanks for another video and enjoy your vacations.

Love this video! I had root mealies issues and despite treatment, have had to cut and throw out hoyas. It feels good to downsize and not spend all weekend taking care of hoyas!

So good to see you back, I have watched your previous video, I'm happy you're taking R&R trip. I going to start taking small trips to the island & some of the surrounding area here in Canada BC. last year in Sept I went to Qatar to visit immediate family. but now I need to do things just for me. You really made me laugh after having a very few difficult work days. After 3y of retirement I had to go back to work because I had walked away from 30y relationship, 21 of them married. Most times I try to not to and will at least put it up for sale first just to try to make some money and if it doesn’t sell then it’s getting chucked, but sometimes I do just get so sick and tired of a plant that it needs to leave my sight immediately🗑️😂

Repotting and propagating is my fav to watch, and to do too! Not boring ❤
If you ever find yourself in Philadelphia, go to the Mütter Museum! Many body parts in jars! 🤯 They even have The Wax Body, which I believe is a body that just turned into wax. I don’t remember how 😅

So happy to see you posting videos again! I need to get over the guilt of throwing away plants…if it needs to be done then so be it. Not saying that I haven’t because I have. Can’t tell you how many because I didn’t keep track. I felt super guilty last year because I chopped up my OG 15 yr old pothos (she could be a little older) started to take cuttings and realized I don’t have to prop everything…I threw away a few very long vines…just didn’t want to deal with it. I rooted some, potted them up and gave them away. 🤷🏻♀️ We finally took an actual vacation in May of this year. My husband and I went to Colorado. We didn’t stay as long as we would’ve liked to but all the more reason to go back. We have our adopted daughter and granddaughters there. We visited Colorado Springs/Manitou Springs and it was so beautiful! I’d like to retire there. I’m in Texas and the heat is unbearable.
My last real vacation was 2018. We went to Arizona. I know Im in the minority because I really dont care-- I hate traveling. I just like to have time off at home. I have gotten rid of plants I don't like but I cant throw them in the garbage. I always first ask my friends or coworkers if they're interested ... Usually they disappear there.... and when that doesn't pan out, I stick it in Craig's List or FB Marketplace for free. Ppl love love love free. I just can't throw something living in a garbage can.
Yes burn it to the ground! I’m also going on a big vacation soon, we’re going camping in Colorado for two whole weeks just me and mom and my sister I’m SO EXCITED. I’m 30 and my sister is 37, but we still act like 12 year olds when we hang out. Also fun fact, my sister and I have the same bday just 7 years apart isn’t that crazy?? Have a great vacation in Sicily I hope you don’t even SEE one plant while you’re there lol

It's such a horrid task that takes forever and makes the plants look disgusting and stink. 🤷♀️ I certainly wouldn't have the time or energy to apply it frequently enough to 200 plants to eradicate flat mites, that's for sure. 😅 Not to mention all that sulfur in a little unventilated apartment? I will probably never do another video about mites, it's an exhausting topic and I can't comfortably recommend any effective products because I don't want to encourage people to use those products willy nilly. For their own safety but also for the environmental impact it could have and the risk of producing even more resistant mites. Thank you for watching and for your kind message! 🩷🩷

I gave away A LOT of plants and cuttings. I don't know anyone in my city who collects plants and I don't have time to keep packing and sending parcels in the mail, hence why I closed the shop. 😄 People really underestimate just how many plants I have. 😂

I did. Not all of the plants sold. I also gave a lot away for free as gifts in the orders that I shipped out in the last two weeks of shipping orders.
