So for 44/40 is it kinda like a conversion from 44mm to 40mm? My head tube is 40mm and it's very difficult to find a replacement sealed bearings for it
I would check the cane creek website for the best explanation. It’s more complicated than that, with zero stack, internal and external option also that need deciphering.
That’s hard to say as these days there is no hard a fast standard for 1.1/8th frames. For instance my frame has a strait through 44mm head tube. With that head tube I could fit a 1.5 straight steerer fork (not that many of these are in existence any more). The best resource for finding out what you have and what you need is your bike/frames manufacturer, the Hope website, and if that fails the cane creek website is full of useful headset identification info.
I wish MTB parts where easier to identify without asking NOOB questions. I have a mega 2020 Expert and have absolutely no idea what headset bits to choose. Same with cranks.. so infuriating
Nukeproof frames always have their own neutron or horizon headsets, all of them take the same 2 bearings for tapered frames and nukeproof sell these separately.
This headset looks sick! Hope makes great products, and love that they're Made in UK!
does the top cap rubber melt when expose to outdoor sun?
Mine live in a garage most the time so it’s only exposure is during rides. But so far it’s not melted.
Do u use all 3 shims for the install?
Fire bro all most no video on the hope headsets

Does this allow a tapered fork to be fixed on a straight tube frame
Well it depends on which type of head tube, like for my self it was a 44mm strait if I remember correct. But yeah Hope does do an option.
Did u ever manage to do it and how
Hope EC/44/40. 1.5 does come with bearing and crown race? For £45
@@robert8077 of course!
Oh nice one! That means I be able fully fit tapered forks on bottom cup
What size mm for 1 1/8-1.5 headset
Depends on if the headset is internal, zero cup or external. Use the Hope website, they have a great tool to help you figure out what you need.
I'm not sure that US style music suits the content, but hey ho.
Blitzkrieg Bop would be a great choice if it wouldn’t get me demonetised.

Yeah I can’t help you with that one really. I’d go to nukeproof and look up your frame specs there.
