@@tenfitmentennisimpulse Hope too ! And no kidding it's almost helping to see pro player struggling. I remember i saw a video of an ATP player ranked 500th. He was struggling a lot with his toss.. he shows that even at high level
Point 4, creating your own pressure, has helped my game in general a lot. Sometimes for practices matches, we'll play where you only get 1 serve to gain a point, if you miss, your opponent gets the point, but you still serve until you get it in and play out the point. Allows you to practice your serve and match play at the same time.
best tennis pressure situation??? Try playing $100 or $1000 sets, just like how golfers play for money. you'll learn pressure real quick! thanks for the video.
Thanks for the sage advice Milan, I tentatively slow down on the second serve and often the ball goes out or equally, in the net so I'll keep up the pace from now on, as recommended. Gordon
Thanks Milan I agree with what you say I am good on the psychological side but my issue is technique so I am focusing on your other videos. One point not good to have a physical exercise as a penalty that puts a negative attitude to physical exercises rather than a positive attitude ie to enjoy push ups for body awareness and connection etc hope you don’t mind the feedback. Keep up the amazing coaching.
Dude this guy is so awesome. Great videos like all the time. keep up the great content man! This stuff helps me so much get better at tennis and coaching
Hi Milan The camera angle where we see your serve as a receiver is amazing. It really puts things into perspective and helps visualise how opponents "feel" the serve. Well done and great job.
Thanks so much! Really glad you liked this video and the camera view. If you can, please share it with some friends who you think might enjoy watching it as well!
@@tenfitmentennisimpulse I enjoyed this lesson a lot because it really encourages you to believe in yourself, from the attitude, the type of serve, the camera angle and the music! Thanks a lot.
Thanks for an interesting question. You could use powder for palms and the towel. If the racquet twists in your hand, it means that you hold it too loose. You need a bit more firmer “squeeze” or grip are the moment of contact. Hope this helps!
@@tenfitmentennisimpulse Thank you, so maybe my forearms get tired and stop gripping at contact after some time hitting, as I've also tried all gripping solutions and compounds. Does the racket never twist even during long rallies or returning a big serve? How do you train to keep your grip tight on contact but arm loose on serve or on top spin shots?
Enlightening tips. Thanks a lot for all your efforts. I often learn more from your videos by observing other subtle details. For instance in this particular video, I realized that your toss was consistently around the same peak height. Awesome !!!
When I get really nervous I feel like my arm turns into a board and my arm doesn't drop to let me get under the ball anymore. I also feel like I rotate too much instead of staying sideways and stop trusting the swing on the kick serve. When I'm relaxed I can hit a pretty good kick serve. What is the most basic, reliable serve I can hit to avoid double faulting at the 4.0 to 4.5 level? It doesn't have to be a fantastic serve. I just want to get it in so that I can get the point started.
Milan is right, never drop your racquet head speed down on the serves.or the ball turns all bad and you get that weak dull feel coming off the ball. I won't just always serve down the middle of the box directly to the player to just jam them all up the time with big middle serves, but then I didn't do the jammers like this with the balls lined up down in the middle for target practice because Milan is practicing his serves on a more higher level.. But when I used to play matches I wasn't satisfied in just only putting the serves down into the player's body all the time although I did do quite a bit of that. But I wanted to slowly also wear down the player's feet also over time as well as the match progressed. So i hit sliders out wide and also down the Middle T to make the serve also swing away off the middle T to bend into the opposite side of the court to cause more difficulties for the opponent to try to return it back when the slider goes down the middle T and then swings away from the racquet when they go to swing at it... The whole point of the serving for me was to not let the player rest his feet for long and keep making the ball move away from their strike zone so they are forced to have to do more extra work with their feet so they get tired more quickly in the later stages of the match and they start to make the errors and then double faults start to slowly creep in and then it be more much more easier to ace them and get in cheap points when they are getting tired from chasing sliders, i also used to every now and again lasso the serve in to clear it just a inch or two over the netcord to force players to have to scramble all the way up from the baseline just to watch them working their feet even more harder on the court just to get one more point , i couldn't care less if they got up to the ball in time to hit a winner, for it was only just one point. But it was one point where they wasted up alot more of their energy on and that's all that I was concerned about. Making them do more extra work and wasting more energy just to try to win their points. I didn't make it easy for my opponents when they played me.
@@tenfitmentennisimpulse I didn't think of the game like a normal club player Milan. As for the serve the coach taught me in my serve practice to balance only on just one single leg to do my serve motion all off to practice serving it into the court with power to teach the body to balance more on the main leg and what this drill did when I practiced it is correct any ball tossing issues I had in the serve because I used to have an inconsistent toss before that leg drill had fixed the ball toss up for me and that's how I had developed the high velocity power serving because it all comes down to how good that your balance is during the toss will likely determine how clean you hit off the ball. So yes to keep the racquet head speed always up and also more better balance of the body to get more cleaner hits on the ball.. Because in power serving you have to be consistent at hitting the ball clean to serve well. .
Dam! my second serve success % gone up night and day, thankyou so much I knew the pros don't hold back on their second serve but this video fill the other part which I was missing. I used to play safe every time on my second serve to get it right but with that mindset it goes in with more control on your game.
"Practice how you play." That's what I grew up with in soccer. Same goes for anything. Can't complain about not improving if you don't put in the work. Good lesson coach.
thank you very much very professional very usable I watching your first song I give you comments from me and the same comments from me for your second song it's very usable thank you very much I'm very appreciated
I have a friend that has a very shaky second serve. I told him hundred times to accelerate the racket in the second serve, and he is even able to do to so after 10 minutes during practice. However, in matches he somehow forget this and play a kind of slow serve with almost no topspin. In the club tournament this year we were playing doubles together and he did 3 (!) consecutive double faults in his first serve game! I told him after his second double fault to make a double fault with a strong quick serve, but not, he played again a slow / weak serve in the net. Later he got back his serve and we won the match and even tournament. Some days after this he won his very first single tournament, perhaps because he got the lesson and began to play the second serve more intensively.
Thank you for this amazing and helpful video! This is what I am working on the most right now, this gave me great advice on how to continue my goal to make my second serve more consistent and be able to protect myself and my dubs partner! To the practice court tomorrow to use your tips!!! Grazie

Exactly he would have been a grand slam champion if his serve didn't break down. So sad..
Hope it will help him! :)

How do I make my first serve as your second serve lol ?

Can you explain the second serve ball toss?
How to stop racket slipping, twisting in hand, even with new overgrips. Thanks
