Using your whole body to hit the ball is so critical as is the split step and being on the toes. You're right, those are two of the things amateurs don't do well. They're flat footed and they swing with just their arm. You nailed it, man!
Thanks Milan for all the fantastic tips! You are one of the best at helping to simplify the necessary elements required to help us tennis warriors out there to improve our tennis and make this game we love so much more enjoyable. Thanks again! Randy
This is an excellent video and I watched it last week and improved my slice immediately, now I am back to implement all of these in a practice latter today. Thanks to your great work!
Thanks Milan, great tips, I realized that I was swinging just with my arm on the backhand volley, not from the shoulder. It feels way different now, more control, thanks.
Loved all your previous instruction videos - there's always something for me to take away and have a go at, great content, thanks. Will try the eyeline volleys, leaning with the shoulders in the slice and keeping the racquet arm low as you start the serve.
Milan, I have saved this video because it allows me to review the techniques and visualize them on my way to my practice sessions. This coaching PowerPoint with bullets is brilliant because 15 minute attention span’s, like I have, greatly improve my consistency. Your students, like me, will benefit. Thank you very much, Scott
Thanks for the great videos! They are really helpful to someone like me who knows the basics and who can play at a high level but are looking for those extra adjustments to refine the techniques. What do you think are some subtle or lesser known tips that elite players do but aren't typically taught in lessons.
Thanks for the wondeful tips. I feel like I have a reliable slice but i want to knife it even more. Can’t wait to try out the tip. Also I was having some trouble creating racket speed on my serve. Never thought about arms having to move at such different speeds. Wish I had you as a coach when I was younger :(
Great tip about the forehand with full body turn and use of non racquet arm Milan. I started using the non racquet arm to uncoil after watching Nikola Aracic explain this in Intuitive Tennis. At first I was confused because most people say rotate the hip first and then the arms follow but I watched lots of Slo mo videos of pros and saw that the very first thing that the pros move is the non racquet arm then the whole torso and hips follow. When I do that I find relaxation, consistency and power like never before whereas jerking the hip first to force the arms to follow was not smooth or easy to time. The arm not only helps with taking the racquet back and spacing but helps with smooth rotation and good timing. It does seem that in this and some other things, there is inconsistency in tennis instruction for some reason...
This is an absolutely amazing video, and so are your others. Concise and beautifully demonstrated. You are obviously a very skilled player with the bonus of being able to teach. Thank you for sharing.
Great refreshment courses for people who knows all the techniques. Tried to video yourself when playing tennis that way you know what is wrong and need to correct. Thanks
Outside weather is getting dark early and cold here. I really appreciate your pro tips! Tomorrow, I will practise, when serving, to drop my racquet hand down, low. Get the big seperation between the the two hands.
@@tenfitmentennisimpulse I did this morning :) I focused on backhand volley (my left arm used to stay near my body) and on the backhand slice. I did well. I take courses since 1 year and your tips are complimentary. This video is so important for all tennis players. I also want to thank you for sharing you training with atp players. It is so nice to have your comment while watching the videos.

Good, thanks. But on backhand is not "180 degrees" turn, only 90! :)
Wonderful and important tips to keep in mind for each shot. I am a tennis coach in Bangalore and your video is very helpful.
