Thanks for the video Donn! Did the job today. You forgot to mention that the filter housing bolt needs a 12mm socket. And its much logic to install the filter with the bolt, spring, washer and filter together. As you know, you sold this ATV to me almost 2years ago and it still rides as new!
Very good work horse!
Thanks man
Honda rocks!💪💪💪
Good video. Especially on assembling the oil filter parts correctly. Have an 2008 with over 19,000 Km (12,000 US miles) with no engine problems using Honda Gen4 10W30 oil with changing it ever 1000 miles.
The filter looks a little awkward to install. Glad they changed them to the side.
Awesome video again man! Creative editing & a good sense of humour!!!
Thanx for sharing!
quaddingsous It is a bit awkward - had oil almost up in my armpits. I think they were engineering this engine keeping in mind that users usually don't change the oil themselves. Wouldn't hurt to have a proper ATV lift for that operation. Thanks for taking the time to watch my self-expression videos!
i am aware it is an old comment. But, it is much easier to install with the bolt in first.
My Rubicon's oil change indicator came on after 550 miles. Piss on it, it's getting another 400 on it at least.
Hey Donn can you tell what type of oil goes in the final drive and front differential? thanks
80w-90 gear oil.
How many kilometers and hours do you have? Any problems with the hydrostatic transmission? Thinking about buying a -01, but I am a little concerned about the hydro.
Well we all know that air filter is doing its job pretty well
Dude! is that a little gray hair up on the ol noggin? anyways, as always, enjoyed the video and it's always great to hear your narration!
Gee Dubb Nooo, this is my halo! I'm forever young! :D
haha....ok man, if you say so. Stay young! oh, I have a halo too but it is clear.
Donn DIY grey hairs show your wisdom.
You still have it? Rides good ?
I do have it. It's a good machine!
What type of oil do you use?
I'm using semi-synthetic XL Moto-Tec 4T SAE 10W40, API SG, JASO MA. The price is reasonable and I run all the machines I have with it - I have older machines ranging from year 94 to 02. I even use it in an old two stroke Gas Gas Contacts gearbox. Seems to be working well with all that deliberate clutch slipping. :)
''Not that i'm complaining or anything'' :D
Sõitnud on pill 1500 km.
What year is it?
'02.
Ohh nice I have an 01
Hi! Coul you please tell me what kind of oil does it take... Becouse i bought one and i do not know which one do i have to use
API Service SJ, SAE 10W-40. I highly recommend looking up a maintenance and repair manual for this ATV. Helps a lot with this sophisticated machine. Thanks for watching!
Rotella T-4 is what a lot of us use in the states
whata comedian. good job on the vid.
Cheers! I'm glad you liked it.
what country are you in?

There are some good looking women in Estonia!!
