      There is no evidence here. It’s extremely suspicious but no grand jury would sign off on this right now. All they have is him being the last person to see her and lying about a phone call. Even the motive can’t be proven because the baby never had a blood test to prove he’s the dad. Not to mention no body or weapon or time of death. Any decent defense attorney would smash that to pieces.
      Most people who get charged either leave physical evidence or are dumb enough to interview without an attorney. There are very few cases that have been charged with less than this and most that have are due to shitty juries and prosecutors who are on a vendetta. You can say that but I doubt you have many, if any, cases you can link that got brought to trial with this or less, much less a conviction.
      He’s extremely suspicious, he probably did it but it’s very far from being proven beyond a reasonable doubt with what’s given in this video. This is why RUclips commenters should lay off accusing people and giving law enforcement shit, they have no idea what it takes to bring a case to trial, let alone win. Also they get one shot at trying it, so most DA’s wouldn’t even consider this case yet. On the extremely off chance it did get brought into court, the defense would file a motion for it to be dropped on lack of evidence and it would almost assuredly be accepted.

      @elisabethchampagne7173 4 года назад +12

      @DREVM yes the evidence is circumstantial but it’s strong. also the motive is very clear! just because the baby wasn’t proven to be his yet isn’t even the point, the victim was sure of it and telling everyone and the man had a serious girlfriend and denied the baby and tried to get her to abort it.

      Truth be told it's likely the
      parents are in intense denial. They don't want to think their son did something so horrible. They view him as the victim who has been labaled a murder for no reason and want to protect him. In their mind he is truly innocent despite any evidence. Misguided and terrible but kind of understandable

There are times when he approaches someone's property - whether going up to their fence line, or knocking on their front door - that I am practically cringing as I am very concerned for his ongoing safety. What he does takes true grit. Same goes for his colleagues, yet Mundy is in a class all by himself. And to think he happens to be a former Marine. Wow, I'd say it kinda shows! Such good, dogged investigative work that grabs ratings while simultaneously, actively fighting for real justice. (Something that is extremely difficult to achieve if one is not rich and powerful. Ahem, not to infer that all verdicts rendered to the preceding, noted demographic are the epitome of genuine justice.)

      There’s no witnesses, no crime scene, no murder weapon, nothing to prove she was harmed, he was smart enough to lawyer up, etc. They can’t even really prove he had motive because the kid was never proven to be his by tests or anything.
      It sucks but you can’t just search any place you want. And in areas like that, there are plenty of other places to hide things sadly. And after 11 years you probably wouldn’t find it even if it was on his property. All of these commenters bashing police just don’t understand how the law works. All you can do when you hit a dead end like this is keep looking for tips or ask the public for anything they may hear or see.
      The sad truth is if more shit bag murderers were smart enough to lawyer up immediately, a lot less would be convicted. Most are caught with physical evidence/witnesses or confessing/getting caught lying to police and then being grilled into lying more.

      Her daughter is clearly an intelligent young woman, & can put 2+2 together regarding what’s happened to her mother & unborn brother. I think if anything, she’s more entitled to the truth than anyone, so she can grieve properly & get closure. It seems to me that despite the obvious, she’s still a little girl holding out hope her mum will walk through the door one day & that’s heartbreaking.

      ZoAnn Sites Oh ZoAnn, I’m so terribly sorry.
      And I’m sorry for swearing.. but what an evil, evil bastard.
      I became emotional just watching this with the young girl, & reading your comment made me emotional too. Those evil humans don’t deserve the air they breathe. I can’t believe he was allowed to walk free & do it all over again.
      I think in this case as well what’s so devastating is they don’t have the bodies, they don’t have a grave to visit, that must be awful for the family.
      Many blessings to you & your family x

      Walter Sobchak My apologies if I came across a bit rude! For some reason this story really hit me. I can’t imagine never seeing my mother again, not giving her a proper send off, a grave to visit.. just nothing. It’s just very sad. I felt very frustrated that that man was allowed to continue on with his life!

      Of course you don’t have to answer to the cops if you’re just being questioned as a witness. Witnesses can’t be forced to cooperate. That’s your right! Anything more, you can plead the fifth.
