I am so tired of seeing all these cases that leave the victim dead. It does not make you weak to ask for help it can save your life. If you do not have anyone you can trust IM me and I will listen and try to help.

I agree with you. But, unfortunately, some of these morons, don't care who's around to see their behavior. This case alone shows it. Some of these people kill their own children to get back at others, when they should have just done themselves in first.

How about not having that "last" meeting altogether? It usually just fuels the belief that the aggressor's power of control is being strengthened. Speaking to that stronger more dominant person does'nt calm them down, just restates the control issue because they hate to lose.

While having that "last meeting" in public is safer than meeting privately. Statistics show that the "breaking up time frame" is the most likely time for a domestic partner to be murdered.

There's mental illness right there in that statement.
I know that some states have Baker Act. If someone is a danger to themselves or others they go to a mental hospital for evaluation for a few days.
I think something like that needs to happen. Once a person is diagnosed and if they don't obey the law because maybe they don't take their meds. Whatever, they should be sent to a mental hospital.

I had to move across the state away from my stalker. I also tried to go to the police but they said if I didn’t have evidence I was being stalked there was nothing they could do. Within a week of him stalking me I moved out and broke my lease.
They still don’t take these things seriously. He lived an hour and 6 minutes away from me and didn’t have a car or license and his buddies would drive him to my home in the middle of the night/ to my job when I got off work. I remember thinking “There’s no way that’s him, he doesn’t drive” and checking his location on snap and it was him. I hid in between cars and got to my car safely. I feel so bad for peoples who couldn’t get away.

I don’t go through peoples phones, but after two years, I went through his phone one time and he literally had been living like four different lives on Facebook to for different women. It was insane. It scared me so bad if you’re capable of those kind of lies, and having like all these different people who you say you are, you’re definitely capable of way worse things, so I just got the hell out of there. There was never any violence. Just lots of lies. Crazy lies faking phone calls made up stories cheating it was weird.

Twelve times in a month… he is so good at what he does, during those times I was cursed out by police, he took my phone and they allowed him to keep it and was forcefully taken for a mental health evaluation and all the while he was ramping up knowing I was helpless. Finally a more experienced officer finally took him to jail.
In the three months since (the no contact order) he has violated the no contact order nine times at least. He hasn’t set anything up for anger management or evals he has violated probation and about every time me was arrested there was another charge… obstruction, hindering 911 call, criminal mischief paraphernalia contraband and more. He even called me from the jail they knew and let him out a couple of hours later.
I don’t want to be doing any of this. I didn’t do anything so just to have to deal with police or go to court is stressful and infuriating. It also gives them a platform. So to have a judge validate you and then protect you reminds me that there really are those who do want to help.

My grown daughter got involved with some people who, like her, were doing drugs. I won't say she got into the wrong crowd because she was part of that crowd. She was as enthusiastic about doing drugs as they were. One night at someone's house they were "partying" and she took too much of something and passed out. Because they were afraid they would get in trouble, no one called 911 or attempted to do anything at all to help her so she just lay there unconscious for all that night and most of the next day. She woke up some 20 hours later and by the grace of God she recovered.
At the time, she found nothing reprehensible about their behavior. They did, possibly, what SHE would have done. She was telling me about it sometime later and I asked her if it really made sense to her that her FRIENDS would rather watch her die than have to spend time behind bars. I also told her that if she ever hoped to stop using she would have to distance herself from this particular bunch of people because the only thing she really had in common with them was their drug usage.
I don't know if something I said got through to her or if it finally hit her how very very close she had come to dying but shortly after this she not only ditched the drugs but she ditched the friends as well. I am extremely happy that my daughter not only survived but has now has been off drugs for a couple of decades.

Why do women that are justifiably afraid of their partner choose meet with them while they are separating. Her friends are begging her not to do it. Unfortunately we see these way too many times and it’s so sad and largely avoidable.

Unfortunately, stubbornness, ego, denial, and lack of self awareness makes some women do dumb things against themselves

If you know the person you are or you are going to break up with is following you, watching you, and not getting it DO NOT EVER MEET THEM ALONE. Once they feel like they don't have control they will do anything to get it back. Murder is usually what happens bc if they can't have you no one will
