Concerning the sketchbook, maybe not just the sketchbook (though that'd be awesome), but also some pictures of some of the builds, some of the artwork you've done for The Gutterlands outside of the sketchbook, etc. Like a proper "The Art Of..." book. A book about the creation of The Gutterlands, and the creations inside it, is definitely something that I would buy.
Now there's an idea. Having little four to six page sections of each "topic" of the Gutterlands. With a mix of pages from the sketchbook, showing the concept illustrations, and then pictures of the final builds. Maybe stick some lore blurbs written from the perspective of an off-worlder documenting Respite and its surrounding environment. Like a travelogue. A few quotes or excerpts from the locals for added flavor.
Thats a great idea too. Maybe with a few postcard type prints of different projects inside like. I know I'd love some prints of the buildings. LOVE those videos and have even screenshot some of them to use as background on my phone.🙂
A _long_ time ago, I watched a documentary about the making of prosthetic eyes. To make the tiny blood vessels in the white of the eye, they used red yarn fibres, which were spred out in a clear resin coat. It looked very realistic. I thought of that when watching this video. Thank you, Bill, for reminding me of that. Also, you make some of the best pustules I've seen. Now I need to figure out how to process the fact that I just wrote that sentence.
I think a sketchbook combined with fictional "The World of The Gutterlands" annotations as a kind of lore/art book to explore the setting you've created would be great. You could even have subsequent volumes as you expand the world and sketch more.
I was thinking something like that too: You could frame it as an explorer's log or something and within the canon of the book all of the drawings are done by them to record what they've come across
I should say something useful, mixing DAS Clay or any cheap air dry clay with come cheap latex caulk in a 2 to 1 mixture makes it less prone to cracking over time in my personal experience.
"Please don't cut your finger off...I'm talking to myself..." hey that's me any time I'm cutting parts for kitbashing, got a hearty chuckle out of me...
Everytime I watch a vid where you show your sketchbook, I always think - "I wish I had a sketchbook like that". I'm not sure that I'd like to own yours though, it's yours, not mine, and as totally cool as yours is, I wouldn't get any sense of pride or accomplishment out of it. Maybe more vids on how you draw and sketch? Then we could make our own :)
you can brush epoxy resin over air-dry clay when its dry and let it set and add more clay over that then more resin to make it stronger and helps seal up the cracks that appear when that clay drys
Love your channel, I've not scratch-built/handmade a model in a very long time and I miss it. I'm a 3d artist, and I model and sculpt digitally. However, you are slowly influencing me with this infection. :) It's a good thing, as I've got a bit box for the last few months and I may make something. Sketchbook/artbook, They're the best, they're raw, with no polish, straight from the mind of the initial thoughts put down to paper. When you're ready, take your time, make and publish it, I'm sure you have fans, like me who want one. The wool thing you did for the veins for the eyes, Pure bloody genius! Chef's kiss!
While I would love an art book, I would absolutely purchase a lore book of your world with the art. The gutterlands is such a cool setting that I would love to run some ttrpgs in.
Dude. You are NOT RIGHT in all the best ways. Proud to be a Patron of this mad, sick genius. Cheers, mate! Also I would love to see an art book! If you didn’t want to double the page count of the art book with text and stories, you could simply write in the Episode # of the YT video for each where they appear as a reference.
Another awesome episode! I love the terrain builds and more meat mountain lore is always good. I would definitely buy a copy of an art of the gutterlands book, even if it wasn't purely based off of your sketchbooks. Looking forward to the next one! 🏴☠️♥️
I’d love having a sketchbook of yours as an inspiration piece, that being said I fully understand not wanting to butcher your babies to get scans. Do what feels best for you! I’ll love the content regardless
At first I thought I must being watching a different channel, then I thought maybe there is only one of them and then I remembered some reciprocal videos on another channel - so now I'm glad to know that both brothers share an interest in gore and at least they had/ have someone to play games with 😀 And yes please to the sketchbook/artbook.
1: i would love a paperback copy of the sketchbook. Dont dress it up or anything, its perfect for the loyalists who have been watching every episode. 2: the mountains turned out AWESOME! As much as i dragged my feet building terrain i had a lot of fun doing it recently and its really cool when your whole world starts coming together into something physical! Cant wait to see what you make next. Cheers
“I’m sure there’s better tools for that, I just didn’t have any plugged in” I can fully relate to this sentence.. lol like I have proper tools for almost any situation but if it’s not within arms reach.. 😅
Nice tutorial well done Bill. As far as the sketchbook goes I think it would be awesome. The way I'd set it up is pictures of the sketch and then pictures of the model produced. All done top shelf of course. Nice close up photos of the crafted pieces. Perhaps populated with the different characters of this weird wild world of the Gutterlands you've made. I'd enjoy the coffee table super sized version myself please.
Also this *really* reminds me of the original version of the Nemesis Ride at Alton Towers (not the Reborn version) where they had the alien flesh wrapping around the rocks and ride structures, complete with eyes and teeth.
i would love to buy your sketchbook once it's finished! for me it would be a great way to engage with (the lore of) the gutterlands outside of your videos
I watch a lot of your stuff... and I love it but Meat Mountain - the malfunctioning lumpy, gory mess is my horribly beautiful favourite. MORE please. Aaaand yes, you should publish your notebook with your Gutterlands Lore alongside the pics.
I would 140% purchase an artbook of your sketches. And, if I may, a straight-up facsimile is the way to go... perhaps with a foreword if you're feeling flush, but yeah... it's beautiful just the way it is 👌
Bill should definitely do a print run of the sketchbook when it's full...that would be an awesome book to have on my coffee table. Also I need a cassette tape or LP of the music 😊
I love-love-love the gory stuff! Your drawings are so delightful too. Would meat mountain ever make it to a shirt? For those of us that are strange and unusual, of course.
The highlight of today was you french kissing that mouthstone🤣. The fingers gripping the tall rock look awesome! Thats probably my favorite piece of these. Also, sketchbook would be an awesome artbook. No need for annotations i think. Thats what people should watch the videos for. See the full context in more detail than any blurb of text could provide.
Such a fun vid. Recently did a whole sketchbook page of gross fleshy watercolored pencils abominations, all transmuted together. Also nice to see you and cat are in a better place relationshipwise.
I've wanted a copy of your sketchbook for years, but been too lazy to suggest it. Your illustrations are easily good enough. They're gorgeous. Don't give it away though, add some stories from story time with Bill and you could get several volumes from what you've created so far.

I've already said it previously but yes, I think when the sketch book is finished it would be very cool to buy a copy
priceless to buy
Me too please.
absolutely
Same I love the art
I could not agree more with this. Bill please do this, it would mean so much to so many of your fans.
Bill yeah we really wanna artbook of your sketchbook
Gore Field is my favorite orange cat-themed comic strip

Yeah the Sketchbook of the Gutterlands. Developed as a record of someone stranded there
Thats a great idea too. Maybe with a few postcard type prints of different projects inside like. I know I'd love some prints of the buildings. LOVE those videos and have even screenshot some of them to use as background on my phone.🙂
We have the Meat Mountain. Now waiting for the Feet Fountain.

An art book would be awesome for inspiration!

Bill. Yes, yes, 100% yes on the sketchbook. So damn cool.
I should say something useful, mixing DAS Clay or any cheap air dry clay with come cheap latex caulk in a 2 to 1 mixture makes it less prone to cracking over time in my personal experience.
"Always keep it moist" is good advice in almost every situation, honestly.
As an unhinged man once said... "DO IT!"
"Please don't cut your finger off...I'm talking to myself..." hey that's me any time I'm cutting parts for kitbashing, got a hearty chuckle out of me...
Incredible work, that spine column piece is 👌👌👌👌

I nearly sprayed my morning coffee all over my laptop with that vitamin D joke. Well done, Bill. Well done.
I'm getting veeery jealous of your creativity. Once again, I've found a new favorite backstory for a... thing in your universe.
I would LOVE a copy of that sketchbook!
Very nice, love the eyes and veins, very happy that you are still making stuff.
I need to find some good skeletons this Halloween!

The wool thing you did for the veins for the eyes, Pure bloody genius! Chef's kiss!
Hell yes I would buy an art book, your sketches have encouraged me to start drawing. Totally love your style
I did enjoy this.
Yes I want one for sure. Great art style and a little window into the world. Very good.
These turned out absolutely rad. Love getting more lore on the Mountain.
can't wait to see some fingernail metal plates, maybe like fish scales, on your future tanks!
So many of us want an art book of your amazing art Bill. I'm a huge fan of your style and have been hoping for such a book for a long time now!
Honestly, your channel has some of the best work I've seen for DIY table top gaming. Love your stuff, keep up the good work!
Absolutely disgustingly wonderful. Awesome.
Yes please on the art/sketch book! I would love to purchase a copy!
While I would love an art book, I would absolutely purchase a lore book of your world with the art. The gutterlands is such a cool setting that I would love to run some ttrpgs in.
Your videos were a huge inspiration for me to start making terrain and vehicles from junk. This video is no different. Great stuff.
Thank you strange man, love your sculpting

Excellent, good sir!

Oh man, cat is back!?
Seems I have a lot of lore to catch up on.
I get absolutely so excited when I see this post 😍😍
Great video! I watched “The Thing” for the first time this week, and this build ended up being the perfect follow up
Just an exact reconstruction of the sketch book. I would buy that.
At first I thought I must being watching a different channel, then I thought maybe there is only one of them and then I remembered some reciprocal videos on another channel - so now I'm glad to know that both brothers share an interest in gore and at least they had/ have someone to play games with 😀
And yes please to the sketchbook/artbook.
Had to pause several times from being grossed out, the highest compliment I can give!
I love the idea of a sketch book. Maybe have the book as a replica of yours with your illustrations, but under a black light you get the stories.
I would love it if those stories hidden by a black light were exactly what was said in each of the episodes for those drawings
Good job Bill, will make my own, must be hot up there, thanks Bill.
1: i would love a paperback copy of the sketchbook. Dont dress it up or anything, its perfect for the loyalists who have been watching every episode. 2: the mountains turned out AWESOME! Love you bill! Thanks for another great video!!!
YES!!! An artbook.
Sounds like a VERY good idea. Go for it Bill... and here, take my money😎👍
Yes, do the sketch book, I have been waiting for this 😊
“I’m sure there’s better tools for that, I just didn’t have any plugged in”
I can fully relate to this sentence.. lol like I have proper tools for almost any situation but if it’s not within arms reach.. 😅

Great build, off work sick and this really cheered me up, you are an inspiration to just get on and do stuff 👍
And a big thumbs up to the sketch book idea 👌
Too cool!!! Thanks for the ideas.
That was great, the backstory of a mountain of meat was looking far-fetched - then you pulled it off, bravo bravo
This gives me some great ideas for something like Mothership. Great video!
What nightmare fuel. Well done. Thanks Bill.
I watch a lot of your stuff... and I love it but Meat Mountain - the malfunctioning lumpy, gory mess is my horribly beautiful favourite. MORE please. Aaaand yes, you should publish your notebook with your Gutterlands Lore alongside the pics.
I think the best part about the sketch books is we get to see the process unfold
This terrain is delightfully horrific!
Great job, Bill!
I would 140% purchase an artbook of your sketches. And, if I may, a straight-up facsimile is the way to go... perhaps with a foreword if you're feeling flush, but yeah... it's beautiful just the way it is 👌

Love to get a closer look at the sketch book I really like your art style

‘So why don’t you just go take your gun into the back garden, and start firing up in the air, like a demented cowboy’🤣🤣🤣 Best line ever🤣🤣🤣
Bill makes all kinds of stuff. Love it
Another excellent one. Bill rocks!
The editing on Bills videos just give me The Adventures of Bottle Top Bill vibes
Every single element of Bill's videos gives me Bottle Top Bill vibes! That's a blast from the past.
Beautiful and horrifying!
This was great! I'm definitely going to make a set of these myself, but in the past so I'm not learning any tips from any RUclipsrs
Brilliant artwork Bill…as usual. I would purchase a copy of your sketchbook with great pleasure if you ever decide to publish. ❤
I would definately buy a copy of your sketchbook, dude!
Awesome job as always bill! I’d love to buy a copy of your sketchbooks, pretty pretty please.
You have subconsciously created terrain that looks exactly like you pulled it out of a death metal album cover. I love every bit of it.
Amazing build! Looking forward to the “vegetable mountain “ episode- a true horror…
Would 100% buy an art-book! Great for the coffee table 🤙
Such a fun vid. Recently did a whole sketchbook page of gross fleshy watercolored pencils abominations, all transmuted together. Also nice to see you and cat are in a better place relationshipwise.
I love gorey things, i think it looks cool😄. I really like gorey viceral stuff. I only saw the thumbnail, but it looks pretty cool.
An artbook would be so neat!
Would definitely buy an art book of the sketchbook! And I don't think you need to add annotations or anything more (unless you want to of course!)
Your meat is fantastic especially the veins, they look so good!
I've wanted a copy of your sketchbook for years, but been too lazy to suggest it.
Your illustrations are easily good enough. They're gorgeous. Don't give it away though, add some stories from story time with Bill and you could get several volumes from what you've created so far.
I would buy a copy of your art book in a heart beat!
I agree, the sketchbook would be amazing. I wouldn't adapt it one bit. Made all the better being as is. :)
Yes. We want an art book of your sketches.
Yes yes yes for the sketch book x
I would absolutely purchase and cherish a copy of an art book.
Disgustingly cool ! Bravo !
I got those teeth off Amazon as well! I recently used them to make a dark tooth fairy dice tray
these came out pretty Metal! very cool!
Fantastic mate
The paint job this episode is super impressive
Yes, to the sketch book coffee table book.
I think a printed version of your sketchbook would do well.
These are basically Shoggoth.
Cool build!
By the way, the extra nails can be made into shields and armor plates for beadbots and other minis.
I can't wait for bill to market his own BMS Hairy Sticks for painting
I'd absolutely love a copy of your sketch book!
