Headers? Stock intake manifold? My 06 has long tubes, exhaust, FAST 102, 3000 stall and Corsa intake. Im looking at cams now but i want yhe car to last 200,000 miles so im trying to find a cam that wont beat up the valvetrain. Does the 220r chop much?
The car chops a little bit at cold start but not all the time, I got some extra valvetrain noise but that's about it. Fuel economy wasn't really affected on the highway. Car has stock intake manifold (I heard the FAST is infamous for cracks and vacuum leaks so I want to port the stock intake since I don't want to keep retune it after every mod , also pretty expensive here in Europe) exhaust is a z06 exhaust from motor till muffler, stock stall, vararam intake. The 220R cam only did 35hp, before the cam it did about 2.5 seconds slower from 0-170mph, so not much of a difference to be honest. The only reason I did a cam upgrade was because I had a light (I thought lifter or someting) tick in the engine, maybe it was just a rocker arm since my old lifters and cam looked fine, but this valvetrain upgrade seems at least to be stronger than the stock stuff. I heard btr platinum dual valve springs last the longest, up to 50k miles or more...
