    Good timing. I have a 2006 Corvette with the LS2. I did a FAST 102, TSP long tubes, 3000 stall and I'm currently doing a small cam. Cam Motion Titan 3 .600" lift 224/228 duration and 113+4. I'm hoping it will give a little chop and 40-50 extra hp while still being a mild cam that doesn't beat up the drivetrain too bad or kill my fuel economy. It made 385 wheel thru the auto before the cam.

    How does the LS2 compare to the L77 from the Caprice PPV? From what I understand the L77 is an aluminum 6.0 but it’s only rated at 355 hp and comes equipped with DOD. Since everybody recommends doing DOD delete anyway would the cams you used on the LS2 perform similarly?

    • @ZONES89RS

      The profile of the cam let the engine breathe and do it’s job. Stock cams are for emissions and mileage

    • @jefflee8924
      @jefflee8924 Год назад

      @@ZONES89RS I understand that over the stock cam. What I'm asking is why did this cam make a nearly 25lb.-ft of torque & 15hp gain throughout the curve and all the way down to 3000rpm in the LS2 6.0 when in another of Richard's videos a Brian Tooley stage 2 truck cam has very similar specs but only makes maybe 10lb.-ft & 5hp more than the much smaller stock LQ9 cam from 3000rpm to nearly 4500rpm in the LY6 6.0? Is it a product of the almost 11:1 compression in the LS2 vs
      9.6:1 in the LY6? Is it the cathedral ports vs. rec port heads? Or does the Comp 265 cam have much more aggressive lobe ramps than the BTR cams?
