we bought one brand new 2016 Facelift, MTA Competizione (direct from manufacturer) with sunroof, carbon sport seats, parking back sensor, Navigation system...so...one word, all extras included and we paid 24.600 €. We are super satisfied. OK. there are some (small/big) negative points too;.
*1. The side mirrors doesn't flip up automatically and it doesn't have defrost in the mirror!!! *2. I'm 178 cm tall and my head almost touching the sunroof back middle panel.Unfortunately the carbon "seats are way to high positioned"!!! *3. You can move the steering-wheel only up and down! *4.There is no 6-th gear!!! *5. No Cruising control!! *6. No seat heater!!
Got a competizione love it. Not had so much fun for years. Really funny when you leave posh cars for dust.

I am surprised by the 0-60 time, thought with that power / weight it would be sub 6's.
Great review. I really fancy the new Abarth 595 Competizione... I just don't know if I can bear to part with my old 3.0 Jaguar X-Type!
There could be a solution to this Martyn, buy the 595 and keep the Jag as a future classic, win win!
You may laugh, I have actually thought about doing this! I just don't have a convenient spot to store a 1500kg Estate car! I even looked at the costs of paying for classic car storage, but 3 months storage costs more than the car! It doesn't help that when I ever I jump in the Jag, I find it really satisfying to drive. It's comfy, fast, great handling... I can talk myself out of changing far more easily than I can talk myself into it! :P
Mind you there's always renting someones garage, the small ads on Gum Tree would be a good place to start? :)
Well, lately the X-Type has been turning into a bit of a money pit. Engine Management issues - then I got a flat tyre tonight! :(

ekim andersom the abarth 500 is sold in the States but not the 595 or the 695.
The 595 gets better suspension, better ride quality, more HP/torque, and a better and upgraded design. The US fiats are a whole generation behind. There is a reason why there are more 595 owners in Europe than there is 500 abarth owners.

I'm not sure in all honesty might be worth checking with Abarth on line. It would be a real pity if they didn't as this such a fab car to drive!

Lovely except for the crappy suspension which isn't suited to country roads.
Still no heated seats ffs
