I just tried this recipe and the pudding mix turned out quite liquid...I think you should not have added the water and so much milk to the pudding mix to get the texture you had....now am wondering as this cake is baking if it will turn out ok.....you should review your recipe as I am sure there is something wrong here!
Are you sure you used instant lemon pudding as 2 cups milk and 1 1/4 cup water is still less than the 2 boxes of pudding mix is capable of thickening as normally uses 4 cups of milk.
