      Here's another frugal tip: once you squeeze the lemons in this kind of juicer, put two or more of the lemon halves back into the juicer and squeeze again. You're likely to get more juice out of the lemons. With the price of lemons in Canada, this can help cut down on the number of lemons you have to purchase.

    I like the way you scrape all the bits out of the bowls. Too often the online “cooks” just leave too much of the ingredients in the bowl. Waste not - want not👍

    This dessert kicks off Spring and I've made it hundreds of times for corporate dinner guests, but... have always used individual ramekins (topped with fresh blueberries & dusting of powdered sugar). It is light, satisfying and lemon is a nice finish. Honestly, I had never considered making it in a casserole dish. This idea has rocked my world! I will have to restrain myself from seeing it as: Dessert for one. Thank you Caleb for sharing your family's version of this treasured recipe!

    I'm glad this dessert is getting more love because it's drop dead delicious. My grandma used to make it all the time, bless her. It's not fussy and comes together in a snap.

    I’m from NYC my parents are from Illinois. Half the stuff you make I’ve never heard of! And… I love it! I wasn’t sure how this would come out, I’m pleasantly surprised. I love lemon desserts. 🍋🍋🍋 I would add raspberries on top, it’s my favorite lemon combo. I’m definitely getting my son to make this. I can’t boil water 🤣

    I’m always baking so I’m definitely going to make this, but for those who don’t bake from scratch, this is definitely not easy, simple nor no-frills. And rustic - it ain’t. To the occasional baker, easy and simple doesn’t involve zesting & squeezing lemons and preparing meringue. But, this IS worth it. 🍋

    I bake pour the mix into a deep dish and bake it in a water bath. This gives a pudding with a cake top, creamy middle and a rich custard base at the bottom. The custard sauce is tor die for❤️

    I watched one other chocolate cake recipe of yours, as i just found the channel, i love the fact the cakes are baked in bowls or something that is like a serving dish, it takes the anxiety of trying to take the cake out, when to take it out-- it's a perfect method

    Separate your eggs the same way and fold in your pumpkin pie mix. It's makes the pie like a cream chiffon. Delicious.

    I grew up in Pennsylvania Dutch Country, and this reminds me of the filling for one of my mom's favorite desserts - Lemon Sponge Pie. Thanks for sharing this recipe. Will definitely try it without the pie crust component!!!

    I have made this dessert before - but not as effortlessly as you have done. So a massive thank out for that alone! I was always told the you had to put the dish into a baking tray of hot water to come up the side of the pudding dish? Have you heard of this. Looking at your results - all that achieves is a more sauce - but that could be because the ingredients are sightly different to cream more lemon desserts sauce. Are you able to share your views on this method of cooking what looks like exactly the same kind of pudding?

    Made this over weekend and it was delicious. My wrists aren't strong enough to squeeze lemons the way you show; so I trim off bottom and juice the wrong way but it works easily.

    I have been making this cake for many years but mine is definitely more spongy on top and creamy underneath. I make it in a rectangular dish so it is easier to cut into servings and it is baked in a hot water bath. Very easy dessert to make and even easier to eat!

    I LOOKED THIS UP FOR A FRIEND. I ALREADY MAKE MY OWN STYLE OF LEMON PUDDING WHICH MY MOTHER USED TO MAKE MANY YEARS AGO BUT SHE USED TO ADD TOO MUCH BUTTER. I DONT PUT AS MUCH BUTTER IN MY LEMON PUDDING. ALSO MY MOTHER DID NOT MAKE THE EGG WHITES BLEND INTO THE PUDDING SO MUCH LIKE YOU DO, SHE ONLY MIXED THE WHITE OF THE BEATEN EGG ON TOP, SHE KEPT THE WHITE OF THE EGG ON TOP ONLY, IT WASNT BLENDED THROUGH LIKE YOU HAVE DONE. BUT ITS UP TO EACH INDIVIDUAL OF COURSE. I PREFER THE EGG WHITES TO STAY AT THE TOP OF THE PUDDING. MY FRIEND MAY DECIDE TO FOLLOW YOUR RECIPE FULLY THOUGH, THANKS. I WILL DEFINATELY MIX THE LEMON RIND WITH THE SUGAR FROM NOW ON, I NEVER DID THAT BEFORE.
