Very beautiful. Thank you for sharing tone on tone with white. I've actually used black twine and Halloween color carded stock with Spirelli wrapping. It makes cool Spider webbing.

Maymay, I just watched this tutorial and that is going to be my project for Monday! I think these cards are absolutely gorgeous! I agree the tone on tone white is a stunner so thank you for this tutorial even though it's 6 yrs. old, it still is a relevant style.

Sure liked this card. How pretty. Just one tip that I used quite often. use a sheet of foam under your textured piece to lift it up. This is a more uniform lift. I get mine at the $1 store.

Just ran across this video. The title Spirelli caught my attention. I bought several punches years ago advertised as Spirelli (from "spirograph" perhaps?) punches, and used this technique to make Christmas ornaments that year for my co-workers, friends, and family. Now I see the technique used for card making, which I seem to have acquired an addiction to! Thanks for showing me a new way to use my dies (I've progressed from punches to dies in the intervening years!) to make cards that have that extra oomph!
Dear May May, You Never disappoint me. I LOVE your texture cards. I have done many spirelli, I have wrapped mine in that flat metallic threads used for Sewing Embroidery. I go over the thread three times. I use a really neat one that is a mixed color in red, gold, silver and purple. Spirelli is always gorgeous. I like your idea on how you die your circle. I did spirelli years ago and we had to cut out our circles with pointed tips and it was grueling. You have really done a fantastic upgrade! blessings from Grace in VT

This is so addicting! Love trying it with different spellbinders dies and various threads. Thanks for sharing.
I love using fine crochet thread, too, or 2 or 3 strands of embroidery floss. Gold, or silver metallic thread on dark colors is stunning, too. Any color metallic thread, really. I need to get more, today. Good for ornaments, too!! You can make two the same size, and put them back to back, for reversibility.

Maymay, This card is adorable! It is so easy too! I bet it could be used for any occasion too! Imagine it at Springtime with tiny flowers or at Easter with a bunny and tiny Easter eggs! So many options!

MayMay, Thanks for the video showing the Spirelli Wreath Card. I would never have considered the white on white (or any other same colors). But I love it! I also thought of using that center section for a shaker window with snowflakes. I will definitely try this.

I'm off to find some nested scallop circle dies! Just tried a simple version with a small punched scallop circle and I'm loving it! I found some shimmery thread at Hancock when they went out of business. Mostly Christmas-sy colors, but the pink and purple look gorgeous together! Thanks for this wonderful idea which has my head exploding with possibilities!

I was watching Emma Lou on Heartfelt Creations and she used OUR Art Glitter Glue that dries in WHITE. Be still my heart. It makes beautiful embellishments just using the glue as snow or whatever.
I love doing these. It shocks me that I don't have a single card made with Spirelli on them. Not everything is glued down though, so I may just fix that 'issue'.☺ I also have a window embossing folder to make background pieces put them on.😊

Oh I thoroughly enjoyed that from beginning to end! What a great video & what a great minimalist (it is for some of us anyways lol) card! I love that it's not American based features that we do not have in Australia! I mean I'll do stars & MAYBE snowflake ❄️ cause they're so pretty. I tend to make the American Christmas stuff I have work in a different way ... although☝️ I have family in the states so I can go ALL OUT on them! Hahahaha .. Anyway I digress .. Thank you for a stunning card idea & executing the tutorial SO WELL. I am going to make these for the couple of family members i have, not EXACTLY but using the wreathe. Your exact card is great for needing a quick but doesn't look quick card for a friendly neighbor etc😬 Ill Che k out your store but I'm sure you either don't sell to Aus of postage will be an $$$$ issue. But ill check it out for sure. ✔️

Hi I am a craft content creator here on youtube too and I just happened across your video here and have to say firstly it is a stunning card, secondly I really enjoyed how you made your video - I know that you make it look easy but that a lot of work has gone into getting it to look that way, and thirdly I loved to see the spirelli and I feel very inspired to come up with some card myself to use it now and lastly to say I agree with you about what you said about making your cards look professional and I think those tips are invaluable so thank you for a very enjoyable video :-) ps I am going to share this up to my Facebook page so my ladies can see it too :-)

well, making this comment in 2020, but I learned to make these about 15 years ago. I was to told to count how many scallops you go, so you never get confused, also told to go 5 or 7 or 9 bumps, or scallops. You can just use a scallop circle, and put a picture inside in the middle, as a xmas ornament, or a cute image in the middle like a reindeer, etc.
Nice card! Great tip about the painters tape too. I was thinking of something to use but was afraid that using the tape over the die would not alloe the die to cut!!
