Thanks for the review and the Angel tutorial .I just got the Wrmk gift bag punch board. So I made the angel and attached the Angel to the gift bag I made with a velcro dots so when I give it to some one they can take it of and put it on there christmas tree when they finish with the gift bag love your tutorials you explain the instructions clearly I love that thanks again Sallyann
I got that trimmer off the TV, but ended up replacing it with a better one. This one is good for sticking in a tote bag for going to a friend's house to craft. I am excited that you made this angel, I've been wanting to make one. And to top it off, just last week I bought that snowflake punch when I was in town! Happy day, and thank you!
OMGosh! I love that angel. I have a angel in heaven that watches over my family. Our first child, full term but ended up caring her dead for a week before induced and delivered. So since my baby girl is an angel I collect all kinds of them. Thanks for sharing this angel with me, it means a lot. I will have at least one adorning my tree this year. angel hugs Debby
I love mine! I use it all the time. It is so easy and convenient to cut and score with one tool. I also love that it opens up into a 12” board instead of just an arm hanging out.
I have one of these boards and am in 100% agreement with your assessment. I have had mine for about a year and it now is almost useless to me. Even though the price is not bad I do not want to have to spend my crafting money on replacing a tool every 9-12 months. The longer I have it the more the measurements are off. When I check it against my other score boards or cutting boards the cuts are as much as 1/8" off! Your observation of the bowing on the cutting arm is not good and causes my cuts to not be straight. When I first saw this board Igot it I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread but the longer I have it the more dissatisfied I am with it. I have almost all of the cutting boards from we r memory makers and I love them. That is why I am sad that the cut/score board really does not measure up to the standards I have come to expect from this great company! Thanks for your honest assessment of this product. If there are others in your audience that agree s with us maybe we could do some sort of combined letter to the company so they can see how we feel about one of their products.
I do have this tool and I've been using it for about a year. It's my go to, but some of your comments were right on. The only thing I really don't like is having the measurements over the score lines. Thanks for your review!
Your opinion/review is very much appreciated. Unless you use something you can't know how it will work for you. Thanks for sharing your fairy. I have the rosette cutter so may try with that.
This was my first score board purchase. Was glad it had the trimmer as well since I needed a bigger one. I do like this tool but I don't have anything to compare it to
I have this trimmer, I found at Tuesday Morning's for only $15, so I bought 2. I love the measuring markings which is why I bought them. I saw them else where for $29.9p, so I was happy I bought 2.
Hi Maymay I have this Score and Trim Board too and Im having exactly same problems with drag and not cutting straight. I did take it back to store and was told by cashier at Joanns to try running wax paper over it a couple times. I asked her if she had one too and if it did same thing, she said no I dont do paper crafting, it was just a thought. I was going to exchange for another one thinking that this was just a defective one. I was told hey were out of stock and not going to order anymore. I thought, Well maybe the drag will loosen up. I never tried it again because my friend has one same issues. Mine is in bag on back seat of car going back. Im glad you did this review video. LOVE the angel!!!
Sweet little angel! I'm a bit heavy handed too. So I'll keep my Fiskers trimmer. And Martha S score board. But I love my WRMK Envelope punch board, and agree that its a work horse in my craft room too. I make all of my envelopes, so it gets a lot of use. Plus a few other things I use it for. Thanks for your honest appraisals of the things you use.Hugs, Jess
I love this tool, I have had it for over 4 years and use it everyday, it has never bowed, yes i have had to replace the blade...but they are inexpensive...my daughter (6yo) uses it too and finds it easy as all the measurements are printed on. I have made everything with this from cards, boxes, bags...couldn't ask for more!
OMG, just posted in the first video I watch by you, Rosette Poinsettias Tutorial, that I got a cutter and scoreboard and this was the one...loved everything about it and now your review on it makes me feel good about my choice out of all the ones I looked at. Thank you...
I love this angel and your instructions for making it! You’ve got me hooked on making rosette projects these days. They are so much fun! Thank you! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!
I was so excited when I first bought this, because it was a 2in1 tool. But, you've pointed out the flaws so well. I'm a huge fan of all the WRMK punch boards, tools etc. and was quite disappointed in this one. Yes, the blade does cut from the plastic (I also have this problem with the pinwheel punch board, it cut quite a chunk of the plastic in a certain area of the board), the scoring tool jumps a bit when trying to score on that groove that is the folding part (I hope I'm explaining this right LOL) and to tell you the truth I haven't had the cleanest of cuts. The blade seems to dull quite fast and it tears through the heavier cardstock. Also, I didn't get a very straight cut either. Ended up buying a Martha Stewart scoring board and a Fiskars trimmer. Loving the fact that it has every part of inch written and that you can fold it. Man, I was really hoping for the best with this one. I guess, every now and then some errors happen even with amazing companies. Great review as always :-)
Maymay, I have enjoyed watching you create all sorts of beautiful things. You are so talented and enjoyable to watch. Thank you for sharing with us. It's always such a pleasure.
Thank you. I made some of these angles a couple of years ago. I think that your idea scoring at 1/2" instead of 1/4, I would have liked making them better. I even have some of the parts left over in a box when I was making them. I am going to give it another try using your measurements.
Beautiful angel! Going to make this for sure! Heading to crafting retreat this weekend so will show all my friends. I'm a big fan of Scor-Pal for my scoring board
Hey MayMay, I just watched the review that JenofEve did on this item. I think I'll stay with my Martha Stewart scoreboard. Love this angel, now I have a project for my grandkids to make for their other grandparents & friends. So happy you shared, thank you! Happy creating! :-)
Thanks so much for the review, I would like to purchase this board simply for the measurements. I like that you can cute up to a 51/2 with it. And that it's all in one board is a super big plus for me, and that the numbers are in white on the gray background I could see it better. Now your Angel is super Cute, and you always do such a great job explaining how to make your projects. I just started making rosettes and I'm going to try her . Super Cute and would make cute tags for Christmas. You could put another circle on the back to cover the string and put to and from on her. TFS your talents with us.
I just found this cute angel ornament video and will be making some with my granddaughters. I have the newer We R Memory Keepers Trimmer and Score board. It's white with some turquoise. It is solid and does not bow or flex at all. They must've heard you MayMay! :)
That angel is super cute, the M.S. punches were perfect for her. For the scoreboard/trimmer it wouldn’t be something I would buy. But I do like the measurements on the top because you can read them.tfs.
Ty so much, I have this cutter/score board. Omg it has to be so fun having all the punches and equipment. I love your designs. Ty for your great personality and all the beautiful things you make. I'm wishing for the new Cricut for Christmas. Fingers crossed lol
I love my wrmk score board and trimmer, but I just use the scorning part because it has 12" and others I own don't. That blue thing on the right also locks blade in place. I don't trim with it because I don't thin you can line it up properly because of The gray piece at right does not seem to keep paper straight, but I love it for scoring.
May, thank you for the review. I purchased the MS score and trimmer I didn't like the blade I keep getting little paper ridge. So purchase the trimmer and then I purchase called Sco-Pal I love it it has 1/4 , 1/2, etc. measurement. I have purchase so many paper trimmer because I have so many problems with paper ridge after I trimmer . I like MS paper by pass paper cutter it has lock on left side where to stop. I will post a pic on the FB. I purchase Tim Holtz small paper cutter too that cuts well smooth. Love it . I hope he comes out big size. I love the angel it is very very cute. I'm going to try that. Always thank you for sharing your project so easy way and reviews on the products. Oh by the I purchase cricut paper trimmer too.
Thank you for the review. Your opinion of it was the same as mine which is why I didn't end up keeping it. I think with the Cricut trimmer as inexpensive as it is with your discount code and the quality of it you can't beat that as a trimmer. I'm not sure what I paid for my score board but at $29.95 for the We R Memory Keepers combination tool I think you can do better with two separate tools. Just my humble opinion. I got a lot of flaring and uneven cuts with the We R Memory Keepers trimmer/scorer. The blades seemed to dull quite quickly and the mechanism was never as smooth as the Cricut trimmer.
I have the trimmer and I really don't like the trimmer part it tins to tear sometimes but I love the scoring side cuz I suck at measuring thks for review
Ah hah! That blue piece is a stopper for when you score. I've had this scoreboard for three years and had no clue. 😀 I agree with all the reasons that you like and dislike it. We R has to know by now that that plastic blade guide is not sturdy enough to keep you from cutting into the board. The big plus is that you can use it to trim and score, but with time, the cuts become wonkier and less reliable, because you keep cutting wiggly bits out of the blade channel.
What weight paper do you use? I love this and will try to make thus for my office. I am overseas and I try to make things for the office to try to keep the holidays going. And I think it helps people when they are apart from family.
Very late with a reaction to the tool, but here's my two cents. I "grease" the sliding parts of my cutting board with a tiny little bit of talcum powder on a cotton ball. Every time I replace the blade I do it again. A little in the grooves of the blade holder and along the sliding bar. hi MayMay, I am just starting out on card making . I like to have a big shot and the trimers you used but, I am on a fixed income and cannot afford these things. If you know of anyone that can help me out it would be much appreciated. I would like to do this because I am doing cake decorating the best I can. I love how you put things together so fast and pretty. Thank you for your inspirations you give to everyone. God Bless
I have the scoreboard/trimmer also. I don't use it a lot. I do love the angel! I am, however, with your Mom on using the hot glue gun. I don't like it, and if there's another way to glue something, I'm going to go with the alternative instead of the glue gun!
I have this and it works ok. I've noticed all the things you did but the worst thing is that I can't find anywhere to purchase the replacement blades so I'm going to have to find another. I'd pass too if I would have known then what I know now.
I have this tool. You’re right that it is not sturdy at all. The blade pops out of the glider a lot. No matter how careful I am to line up the paper for cutting, almost every time the cut is crooked. I’ll keep this board for scoring but I am purchasing a guillotine paper cutter
PS, really enjoy your videos. I'm going to start card crafting thanks to you. My first gift to myself will be your stamp of the month club :) Thanks for ALL you do. God bless
Dominic I'm glad to hear they changed the scor pal. wish it would have been made like that from the start. frustrated that I wasted money on the two I have! I still try to get by with them until I can afford different ones.
I would like to probably use it as a travel tool (I work two jobs and sometimes craft on lunch) So with this I would have to cart around 2 pieces . :-)
I bought a similar product by Martha Stewart and hated it. I think the problem is that the valleys or scoring channels are too wide. My scores or cuts were always crooked. Bought fiskars one with coupon at Michaels and it works great. I know exactly what you meant about the flimsy feel too. That didn't seem to be the problem for me. I was also disappointed because mine had terrific measurements at top and templates but crooked just isn't cute.
I love this board. It has all the measurements! Maymay you should always use it open not folded in my experience
Hi. I’m not a paper crafter but I love to take inspiration from others. This project is darling. Thank you 😊
Being an angel collector, I love, love, LOVE this one!! I will be trying this one!! Thanks Maymay !!!

I have this and love it. But recently purchased the cutting/scoring board from Cricut after seeing you demonstrate it. I love it, too.

I like mine but I could see what you were saying. I got mine with a coupon so I am happy with it. So many different crafters, so many different tools!
Hey MayMay, I just watched the review that JenofEve did on this item. I think I'll stay with my Martha Stewart scoreboard.
Love this angel, now I have a project for my grandkids to make for their other grandparents & friends. So happy you shared, thank you!

Love the angel. Great, straightforward review of the trimmer. Seems to have more cons than pros. I'm surprised WRMK even put this tool out there.

Oh my goodness.. I just ordered this today. I have a very small budget and I'm a new paper crafter. I'm hoping it works good enough for me. TFS.
I just found this video. Beautiful little angel 😇. Thank you for sharing this.
I love that angle you are so good at what you do. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks again for your time and help on how you make Christmas Christmas angel I love it great job

So cute. I love the angel. And I do have the cutting, scoring tool and I do like it, although I haven't used it a real lot.
Beautiful ornament! They will make great gifts and gift toppers!

Just found you Maymay and just found this video. She is gorgeous. Guess what will be on my tree this Christmas
This is my favorite trimmer for crops. Love love love.

Love this angel! So, so cute!! Say "Hey" to the V-Man & fam. God bless. 😃💖
Love, Love the angel! Can't wait to make some. You make it look so easy!
I love this little angel...I don't have any vellum but do you think waxed paper will work?
Love your reviews, Maymay! I am not going to get this one.
Great video on the angel. Thanks for explaining the trimmer. Good to know. I love your videos. Say Hi to Vinnie.
am planning on making this angel as soon as I can.
I love the angel! Just love it.
I love it. It turned out so pretty.
I have one of these boards and I have found the cutter is not very good but I use the score board all the time because of the extra measurements.
such a sweet angel and thanks for so much useful info on the tool! God Bless
What weight paper do you use? I love this and will try to make thus for my office. I am overseas and I try to make things for the office to try to keep the holidays going. And I think it helps people when they are apart from family.
the envelope punch also has the measurements on the tool.
Love the Angel, Thank you for sharing..
Love, love, love this angel.
Cool Project. I might give it a try.
thats really neat. and im for sure going to make these for gifts. thank you
Beautiful Angel. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks
Cute project. I remember making a version of these in girls club.
I do not use the cutting part of the score board. lol. your angel is stunning... tfs
Thank you for sharing 😊I love ❤️ Angels 👼🏻 and will be giving this a try 😇💜✂️
Such a lovely angle thanks for sharing
Very late with a reaction to the tool, but here's my two cents. I "grease" the sliding parts of my cutting board with a tiny little bit of talcum powder on a cotton ball. Every time I replace the blade I do it again. A little in the grooves of the blade holder and along the sliding bar.
Only thing is that I must replace the blade in dry weather or the talcum powder will become rough, starts to clomp. Once I've used the board a bit it won't do that anymore, even when the weather gets damp.
hi MayMay,
I am just starting out on card making . God Bless
It is so adorable thanks for showing.........
thank you Maymay for the review, good job as always😊
I have the scoreboard/trimmer also. I don't use it a lot. I do love the angel! I am, however, with your Mom on using the hot glue gun. I don't like it, and if there's another way to glue something, I'm going to go with the alternative instead of the glue gun!
I have this and it works ok. I've noticed all the things you did but the worst thing is that I can't find anywhere to purchase the replacement blades so I'm going to have to find another. I'd pass too if I would have known then what I know now.
Love the angel.
I have this tool. You’re right that it is not sturdy at all. The blade pops out of the glider a lot. No matter how careful I am to line up the paper for cutting, almost every time the cut is crooked. I’ll keep this board for scoring but I am purchasing a guillotine paper cutter
Love the angel!
nails look beautiful! and love the tool!!
was wondering about the Martha Stewart one like this... do you suggest keeping the tools separate or would you possibly suggest the MS one?
PS, really enjoy your videos. I'm going to start card crafting thanks to you. My first gift to myself will be your stamp of the month club :) Thanks for ALL you do. God bless
You're wonderful. I love listening to you. I love your spirit.. From another one of His.
I agree about this tool. I want try the Scor-pal. they have all the measurements too. :-)
I also love the Angel.
Deborah Clark I have the Scor pal and unless they changed it since I bought mine, it does not have 1/8 inch marks on it.
Oh, I have to go back snd look at that. Thank you Vanessa Koehn. :-)
Dominic I'm glad to hear they changed the scor pal. wish it would have been made like that from the start. frustrated that I wasted money on the two I have! I still try to get by with them until I can afford different ones.
Do you know any other score tool that has all the measurement? Because I need it! That's why I would buy that one!
Wonderfully angelic!
