Thank you for breaking everything down. I'm a visual learner. I need the pictures, I need the diagrams. I need someone explaining to go with all that, and this has been so incredibly helpful.
I LOVED your comment that “a lot of clutter gets to me”. I’m exactly like that. I love your videos because there isn’t a lot of nonsense with it. Just the facts in a simple way for a beginner. THANK YOU 😊
instaBlaster...
You failed to mention that extension arm is EVERYTHING for large envelopes and projects. This was worth EVERY PENNY to me because of that arm. 😊
Yes, I bought mine 8 years ago, but I use it SO MUCH, I had to buy another to replace it as of yesterday. Just got my new one. Thank 🙏🏻 the Lord they still make these.
A MUST HAVE CRAFTERS TOY. I mean tool. 😂🤣😂
Finally! A sensible explanation on how to use this tool, that has been gathering dust. Thank you so much.
Just bought mine today. Really found it confusing until I found all the tutorials! Thanks so much!
I love this board and have used it quite a bit for envelopes and bows, but unfortunately I have a very difficult time seeing the supplied measurements. I contacted WRMK and was able to get digital guides for each of the 3 items. I enlarged the guides then printed and laminated them. Now it's much easier to see all the required measurements and my projects are not caddy rumpus antmore!. I really wish I'd seen your excellent instructional video before I spent so much time reading, messing things up and wasting paper! You are terrific at explaining things and fun to watch. Thank you Maymay...God bless!!!
I bought it at Costco for 11.99 or 14.99 that was some time ago the next day I went back to get some more and they were gone. That shows that some one from a little shop gotten all. Thank you I love the way you explain everything you do thanks again.
Thank you so much for your video! I just bought the punch board a week ago and had already disposed of the packaging. I was ready to toss out the board because I was trying to figure it out with just the instruction booklet. I couldn't figure it out no matter how many pieces of paper I ruined! I was putting the paper in the wrong place, and you showed me the correct place. Thank you so much!
Thank you for this video. I bought this quite awhile ago and got so confused trying to make the envelope until now watching your video so easy after watching you. Thank you again!
Thanks MayMay, this is the best explanation on how to use the punch board that I've seen!
I just used a coupon and splurged. I just wanted the envelope board, but the stores aren’t carrying them.
You gave me the courage to open the container!! Thank you again!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I purchased the 123 Punch Board from HSN, and it does come with the Banner Punch, a 12 x 12 Paper Pad some string and two packs of stickers to mail things. I have not used mine yet because I was intimidated by it, like you said, it has a lot of lines, but with your tutorial you made it look so easy, specially the bows. I really appreciate it and will be trying mine soon, Nancy
+N Fuentes Thanks, have fun!!!
It is 2019 and I recently purchased the 1 2 3 punch board. This video was very helpful and a great introduction to the punch board. Thank you for sharing!
Agree!!
hi can you make envelopes for 5"x 7 inch cards with this 123 board
Yes she is the best!
Debbie L I believe you can!
Through watching these videos, I've changed from thinking of purchasing a pillow box board, to an envelope board and now decided to just go for the 123 board. Thanks for the fab demos and the tip about the book.
Maymay I have tried several different envelope measurements, and mine always come out at diffrent size when I fold and measure. When looking at the paper, the punches are of sides.i tried to use another piece of paper, and again I am messing it up
Please helpe, this should be relativly simple. Please if you could, go back over a single envelope. If it helps you, I have a card that I have made, card measures 6 X 4 5/8. I know that this is an unusual size, but it is a size that I made my card in!
I went to the store to purchase the EPB and had a 55% off coupon in hand......when I walked in and found the aisle I needed, I reached for the EPB and right next to it was this 123 Punch Board.......on no! I had not even heard of it before, but it looked intriguing and I needed to verify it's worthiness as it was $35 compared to the $20 I was planning for the EPB. So I immediately went on my phone and looked up reviews to see which I wanted and which would work better. THANK YOU so much for your video review. Seeing that I didn't have any of the other boards, it just made sense to start with this one as it had the extender arm, dimensions and shiny step by step book. I appreciate you posting this as it helped me make my choice before even walking out of the store.I can't wait to play with my new toy!!
Karen Kisselstein Awesome! That is exactly what I was trying to convey in my review. If you were doing to invest for the first time in a envelope punch board, def get the 123, thanks so much!
I purchased this 123 Punch Board from HSN on the craft show. I am having difficulty making the boxes (wasted 3 pieces of paper), but this demo helped a little. Thanks Maymay.
I have both but never used the envelope punch because the 123 board came out before I got a chance to use it. And I ordered the 123 punch lol . I do like it for bows and envelopes of odd sizes.
omg i so loved this tutorial. you made every part of using the punch board look easy. i have been thinking about which board too buy truth be told i was gonna buy 3 seperate punch boards but after coming across this tutorial i now have my heart set on this 123 board it works out cheaper.... thank you and keep up the good work x
I have both, simply because the envelope board came out first, if they'd come out at the same time I would have just gotten this 1, mostly because of the extender arm. I also make jewelry & the boxes are ideal for that. I do have problems closing the slits though.
i just found this review vid & i see that it is a few yrs old. that is fine for me ; i usually do very little paper crafting , (my daughter & daughter in law do that ) & i love to watch. i am a quilter, all by hand, & i love it. no sewing machine at all . my d in l has a big cricut & both my girls love that. i think my d would like this 123 as she doesnt have any paper tech. she is an artist & does lots freehand, but i think she would enjoy using this. i really liked ur review, very clear, objective & honest. thanks so much. God bless :) :) nancy in ga
GOT MY PUNCH TODAY AND HAD TO COME BACK FOR A REFRESHER AND THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH, YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER..
Your teaching style is so easy to follow. Thanks for being you!
+Donna Critchlow thanks Donna!!!
Hello,
I have all of the boards and I like them all. The reason I bought the 123 punch is for the extender arm and bow making. Math is not my forte so if I can get the measurements already figured out I am all for it. The board also comes with a link to an envelope generator as well so that was nice also. Now I can make whateve size card I like and still not have to figure out the dimensions for an envelope for it. I like having each board to do one thing. It keeps it simple for me.
When all else fails, watch Maymay
Totally agree
This is an amazing product review - concise, quick and straight to the point and the Southern accent that goes with it is likethe "cherry on the icecream" - thanks a lot.
+Hippabellita1 Thanks I try to be to the point!
I know this is a old video but just got the punch board with the extended arm. I have the smaller one but needed one that could take larger paper
I wanted to thank you love the way you explain everything so easy to follow
The 1-2-3 just arrived in the mail from Amazon (US$20.99 - Prime) (Nov. 2015). I greatly appreciate your fine video, and thanks for keeping that little blooper in! Did my first envelope wrong (before looking at instructions), but I think I discovered a new project. Just recovering from heart surgery, so this will keep my bottom glued to my chair.
I just bought this board on an impulse buy with the 50%off coupon and im so glad i did now that i saw your instructional video!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to make it :)
Just bought mine yesterday at Michaels, $53 (in Canada) but I used a 40 percent coupon. I have never used or seen this so I am excited BUT I am so thankful for this tutorial. I will be experimenting today. Wish me luck and thank you.
Thank you Maymay! I just purchased this and i am so excited to use it. I so appreciate your insight explanations. I too do not like the part you cut off. I score it and fold it inward. I have the Martha Stewart envelope maker. It is a good tool also, i consider this an upgrade and will give my MS to a crafter friend. Keep my tools to the same number but have more! That's so great!
I am so excited by this tutorial i have had my bunch board for a while and this has been so helpful i was so confused before. Thanks very much from over here in Australia.
You are an angel. I could not get the hang of lining up the paper after I turned it the first time. Thank you for that little tip. Also, I didn't realize that it had the corner 'rounder' at the side on the top. I was comparing it to the regular envelope punch and was mad that I had to use a separate tool. Can you tell I don't know where the instructions/guidebook walked off to :) Thank you again! Now I can zoom through the rest of these envelopes for the Christmas cards.
i bought mine few weeks ago, and OMG it is scary.I love your videos, they are always so practical and easy. Thank you so much!
So glad I found this video. I was completely lost before I watched this! I think I was making it harder than it is for some reason. So now, I've got it and will be making some cool stuff. Thanks so much.
I bought mine on HSN. I love it. I already had a box punch board and an envelope punch board. I like this because it's size and capabilities
Craft Corner with Esther C yep, it is really a great board, that extender arm is awesome too!
I did buy this on HSN; but before I ever took it out of the package I gave it to a friend; her daughter is getting married and they are doing the invitation's themselves. I love what it can do, so will consider buying again. Thanks for showing us!!
Paula Fowler Aren't you a sweetie!
I agree with Nancie,. I bought this years ago and had an epic fail and never touched it again. Saw in our Tuesday Morning today a lot of these in white and slightly different on sale. This jogged my memory of mine collecting dust. Thankfully I know now about Maymay! I need visuals such as videos and this is great as usual. I actually made an envelope and box. Now cant wait to use it. Thank you Maymay and may you see this post all these years later. April 2019 you are an awesome teacher
Thank you Maymay I will be looking forward to watching how it's done, can't wait. Thank you so much.
Your videos are wonderful! Thank you for always taking the time to show us all of these creative boards and gadgets.
Thanks for the tutorial. I bought this on HSN and have not had much of a chance to play with it. But, I also like the idea that you can make envelopes for your dimensional cards to fit into. Joyce
Hi Maymay thankyou I'm new to crafting so I was considering getting the envelope punch board until I came across this and I love this I get to make more craft stuff with this. Thankyou 😊😊😊
I have both punch boards and am one of the people who isn't good at creating my own measurements, so I like having both. Love to make the bows and dimensional envelopes for thicker cards.
I have ALL the punch boards. Bought this one from HSN & it did come with the banner punch board. Haven't had a chance to play with this one yet, but thought it would be handy to take to crops instead of taking 3 different ones. I also end-up going to my mom's or my sister's to work on stuff so 1 board instead of 3 gives my lots of options and means I can take other stuff with me.
The 123 punch board has the extended scoring arm, so that makes that board a better purchases, so I now have both boards. Thank you for your review.
Thank you for your honesty and sharing of this video. You have help me understand it much easier. Thank you
Just bought my 1-2-3 Punch Board. This is my first punch board. I got mine on sale at Michaels. I was like you and went I don't get it. Thank you.....thank you for the tutorial. Very Helpful!!!!!! TFS.......Crafty Hugs, Chris
Christine Belm?*
Your first time video was in my birthday! Now I bought the punch board and it is really helpful! Thanks!
I have both punch boards, and I need them both. I am not mathematical enough to figure out the dimensions like you said so I need someone to do it for me. I use the envelope for envelopes and the 123 for the bows, boxes and most importantly my dimensional envelope!
Thank you for pointing out that we HAD a book. I keep forgetting about my book. I LIKE the pictures. (Need the pictures😝)
Best tutorial for this item. Thank you.
May May..thank you so much for this video. I bought this punch board this weekend and to be honest I was overwhelmed with it and I just put it to the side but now since I have watched this video I feel a lot better you make it all look so easy. Thank you so much......................Alisha
ALISHA WARREN-HALL It can be a little intimidating, there are lots of numbers and letters and lines and punches...but, if you break it down one step at a time you will master it! Thanks
I purchased this from HSN and I love it. I had the envelope punch board and I sold it. I to am left handed and sometimes it's hard for me to use certain craft items.
I'm so glad that you explained things the way you did
I haven't seen this board before Amy, I love it, but already have the envelope punch board, which I love as well. Thanks for the review Amy!
I have this and I got it right once, I have to watch this a few more times.
I love multi functional things I wasn't sure about the envelope punch board but think this is a must!
I love mine. Got it with the HSN bundle deal. I got it mostly for envelopes but wanted the extra features. This was my first punch board from WRMK.
Thank you this was by far the best tutorial/ review on this 123 Score/Punch Board.
I ordered mines today only because I starting my own business of Swarovski Crystals Jewelry and other Creations. I thought this would be perfect to create unique boxes for my jewelry that won't be a fortune and also for my artwork drawings / card making....
I can really look forward to using it.
Thanks a lot for sharing your opinions on this. 😀
This was my 1st pu nch board. I love it. I got on HSN when it 1st come out, it also came with the Banner Punch..
stephanie Marler Banner punch! Not pennant! I knew it was one of them! Thanks!
Thank you so much 😊 Maymay, that’s awesome 😎 I’ve just brought this punch board and you’ve helped me so much to work out what I have to do 😁😁😁😁😁
I do own the envelope punch board, it was the first one I bought, but so much need this one as well! I love and need the measurements and instructions! I’m loving these boards especially for days when my brain doesn’t want to work correctly!
I absolutely LOVE to listen to your videos! You make these so easy to understand!
Hello Ms. MayMay, I too have the first envelope punch board, as well as the Martha Stewart's Envelope Board and I could not agree with you more. You can, do the same things with the first one as you can with the 1-2-3. And I truly appreciate having the measurements readily displayed. And I must say, that there are some Great additional features that comes very handy with the 1-2-3 such as the extended score line tab. I really could use that on the regular one. Thanks so much for the demo. :)
You really explained how to use this so well. Thank you ! I was so stuck where to start.
I got the envelope punch board Monday. This one looked intimidating. I may return that one and get this one. You made it look easy!
Love it! I just opened my board and have never used anything like this before. So, the extra sticker flap was a mind blowing event already. lol. Thanks to you and all these details in the demo...I'm all cleared up now. And...I love hearing your accent. I'm originally from Tennessee and you remind me of home. lol.
Of course Maymay has a video on this .... I recently purchased mine on a craft shopping binge & I don't remember looking for it in Michael's -- because I had already purchased it at AC Moore's for $45 & also took advantage of the BOGO 1/2 off to get a set of punches. I then kicked myself (mentally) because it was $5 cheaper at Hobby Lobby! If you happen to be lucky & have several stores very close to each other (all 3 are within 10 - 15 minutes of each other depending on the traffic), compare all prices & additional sales before you take the plunge. (Unfortunately we were going home a different route from the way we went [my stores are roughly an hour away from me!], or I would have returned it or asked about price matching back at AC Moores.)
Amy, you're such an enabler! LOL I'm not good at figuring out measurements for other projects with my Envelope Punch Board so I'm going to have to add this to my Wish List. :-)
This is great for us who have issues with measuring!
thank you, thank you!! I am more of a visual person so your video finally made this item make sense. my first attempt at an envelope was awful but with your help the others are a lot better. bless you
+Ginal Pitts Glad I could help!
I got the white one and found the teal lettering really difficult to read, I emailed We R Memory Keepers and they sent it to me in black and white, great customer service. Thanks for the video it made me know what to do.
Also Michaels Price matches with Amazon, Target, Walmart, Joann and many other stores I got mine for $13.52 once i asked the cashier to price match it for me. I did some amazing Secret Santa theme credit card size envelopes.
Thanks so much! I got this earlier today and almost took it back Bc I couldn’t understand it 🤦🏻♀️ this explanation is by far the best out there!
I saw this on another video and then I watched yours. I love this. I do not own it, yet. But it is on the list for Christmas for sure. I have the original punch board for envelopes, but, currently every craft item I own is stored. We are in the process of building a house and are renting and it isn't large enough to have a craft area. So once things are completed, I will definitely be using this and all of my other craft supplies. For me, it will be a must have, not a nice to have. It is like you said, if you aren't good at figuring out dimensions (or you are lazy like me, lol) it is perfect for that. I guess that is why We R Memory Keepers keeps making these things. It is for people who just want to craft in the most efficient way possible.
That was awesome! Great instructions May May! Lovin' it!
There is also a WRMK envelope generator app for your phone. You enter the card height and width and it will tell you the paper size and punch guide measurement.
I have all 3 punch boards! I love the box closure. I'll be donating the EPB and the Gift Box Board and keeping the 3 in 1. Yes, HSN included the pennant punch board, paper & washi envelope wraps....
Connie Turner I like the closure too, when I don't tear it! lol!
You just don't know your own strength!
I'd love to get this but I'm not in a hurry to get it since I already own the EPB. I want to wait until they're in stores where I can use a coupon. I love all the projects. If I were making a glued box, I'd only put the slits on one set of tabs & just tuck the other set in. Tfs. Tere
Lovely update thank you sharing thinking of getting one as trying to make with out any guidelines on envelopes
I do have the first punch board but I need the special education that this board gives
I really enjoyed your video. It was very helpful in explaining a lot, even though I have the instruction booklet. I have one suggestion about the box tabs, because I'm sure I would be ripping those little guys off too. They could be reinforced with tape prior to punching the little slot into them. I know I'm going to try that. Thanks again--very helpful!
First time meeting/seeing you... I 💖 you... great job!
What a great tutorial! You made it so easy to understand. thanks!
Love the tutorial. ...I have neither board. I am old-school and can usually find a used envelope, cut it open, draw around it, fold without scoring, and glue flaps as you did. Now, with that said...you Maymay use this info on your hack video! Lol
Lexy Galloway Well, there you go! I guess we think alike, I did that in a video recently. That is cool! Thanks for sharing your tip with everyone too!
Soy latino con ingles básico y le pude entender muy bien gracias a las indicaciones con sus manos, gracias!
Thanks so much for this video. Now I realize where I've been making my mistakes.
Thank you so much I have one of those and I didn't know how to use it like that
Thank u sooo much. Had it for months and now I can get to it!
As always Maymay, your review was excellent! 😀 I think I may buy it even though I already have the envelope punch board because it seems like the instructions are very simple (and I need simple 😀) and not all videos are well explained.
Rae from Mandeville I think it is a good item to have, it does make the measurements easy. Thanks so much!!!
I have the fiskars box maker that does make bows boxes and envelopes as well can you do a comparison video? Or can people please give me your opinions
Very thorough review! Thanks!
I have both and I love this one--I am gifting the other one to my grand daughter that is just starting to get a interest in crafting--thank you hugs
Thank you so much for your review. I already have the teal one just like you but let me tell you what I love about this. The extended piece and the part to punch the little smile thing so that the box could lap over. So yes I understand what you are saying bu t would still buy it even if its just for the extension and the smile punch because I have alot of cake boxes to make and free hand is so hard. Sometimes I mess it up and have to start all over.
MzCaribbeauty good points, I love that we are calling it the smile punch. You know I am gonna have to make something with a smile on it now!?! Thanks
lol. ahahaha. awwwwww thats so cute. I would love to see it when you do. your welcome
***** lol. ahahaha. awwwwww thats so cute. I would love to see it when you do. your welcome
Thank you Maymay take me for 2 week figure out how to do it this box
I have SUCH a hard time with bunch boards, but your demo made my believe I could do it!! WhooHoo.... off to get my 123 board and wouldn't ya know it....mine doesnt have a booklet with it 😒 Any suggestions on where to get that insert??
Tip; Watched another envelope making tutorial and realized that no one mentioned that your paper needs to be 8 1/4 squared. It must be square. I did not realize this and was only cutting one side to that measurement. It did not work. I also recommend using cheap printer paper to practice as it took me about 9 tries to get it right. Of course, that is me. :-)
I got my very own today from Michael's with a 60% off coupon!! Thanks for doing the video otherwise I wouldn't have known about it.
just the video I've been searching for! Thanks so much!
I got this today for 75% off!! I could not pass it up. Can't wait to make envelopes, bows, and boxes with it.
Hi Maymay, great review but I would like if you showed me how to make the box envelope, I have this 123 board and I have tried to make the box envelope and I just can't it to work and I learn better by watching then by reading instruction, so if you don't mind doing a video on how to make the envelope box I would greatly appreciate it. Love your videos TIA.
I would be happy too. I'll do that tomorrow. Thanks for asking me to do it.
I have the works tool & am thinking of purchasing this
