We R Memory Keepers needs to hire you for tutorials. I have been a scrapbooked for 24 years and a card maker for 10 years and was really struggling with the instructions. I am a “hands on” learner and you rocked it!😉Thank you.
Hi, I live in NZ and just bought the 1-2-3 punch board, and was totally lost with the instructions. Your video has cleared up all the confusion. Thank you so much
Thank you so much. Before I watched your video, I made something that didn't even resemble an envelope! Your instructions are so easy to understand and now I'm making envelopes like crazy!
I just got one for Christmas and went straight to your video to get me started. Thanks for the clear instructions on your fun to watch video. Well done for not being afraid to be a male crafter and show it x
Hats off to you for pioneering crafting videos as a man. Hopefully you will encourage more men to craft, which so many women already know is relaxing, fun, and exercises the right side of your brain. Thanks for this great information, too!
Excellent demo - I looked at this product today but wasn't convinced. I have oodles of dies - but for crafting on the go I think this will be excellent. Really clear! Thank you! :-) xxx
Thank you for helping out this girl. I got the punch from HSN and just now was trying it out. It was getting just a wee bit difficult for me but when I found your video it made it all so easy. Thanks again.
+Nicole Normand Let me tell you, I am as real as they come with all the bloopers I make LOL! Glad you liked it! Don't forget I put my bloopers in most of my videos.
I love my We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board that I got for Christmas-much better than my Martha Stewart score board. Now I have something for next year's Christmas List. I will forever smile as I clean up my punch board poopies-good one, Ian!
Thank you so much for this video! I was starting to get frustrated because for some reason it wasn't easy for me at all! But watching this video helped me so much
Well Kilter, I watched your video and I am impressed! I also read MANY reviews from people who bought either the l-2-3 punch board/or the banner punch board. Since i've practiced on making envelopes and boxes, I had a fairly good idea on how to make each. In reading these reviews, they all had trouble with memory keepers instructions. The banner punch did not fair any better. I was almost ready to give up on buying the package banner/1,2,3 punch board bundle HSN has but...I watched your video and was finally sold on buying them! I guess if I fail, it won't be the first $50 I've threw away. Im not one to give up on things that appear difficult so I'll figure it out! Thanks for a really good and well made one too!
Michele Rhoads I am so glad you got these punch boards. I really love mine and honestly they are so easy to use. I think you will do just fine with them and of course my video is here if you need any help with it. You can also email me and I would be happy to answer your question as well as I can.
I saw this on EBay as I'm just learning to craft, and to be honest sometimes the instructional videos aren't clear, but yours are brilliant. You made everything so easy to understand that I'm going to buy the 123 board. You're a star! Looking forward to your other vids.
Well Mr. Kilter Im back! Its been a year and Ive been busy make all sorts of bags, boxes, purses, gift card holders, cups..So lately I needed an enclosed in box (no lid) and I couldn't find anything that suited my need. Lo and behold I remembered your video using the old standby (which I quit using so much as the bow tie seemed to die on me.) the 1-2-3 punch board (weRmemorykeepers). I put in a 12x12 copy paper and instead of using a slew of other videos including wrmc, I saw yours! Was I a happy camper bc yours is the most enjoyable and interesting and easy to follow! Keep up the good work, cuz i always seem to seek you out for something that is easy for me to understand. Thanks again..and again. Michele R.
I loved your video. Informative with amusing tidbits. I need to get mine out of the box (I bought it from HSN when you did.) and start using it. I have my original board nearby and continue to use it. I love the punch board poopies!!
Really enjoyed your video! I tried to do it on my own. You helped me a lot. And I really like what you call the bits of punched paper. Punch poopies is perfect! Very funny. Thanks! Debora
great tutorial, and happy to see a male crafter too. just bought this board so can't wait to try the box and bow as so far i've only made envelopes. it can also do a box envelope which is great for bulky cards. love this video and love how you put in the bloopers. liked and subscribed, thank you.
Thank you for the tutorial, esp on envelopes, because I got this from HSN and then took it out of the box and was befuddled, even though I read the directions. Now that I have seen you demonstrate it, I am ready to go! Thank you!
Elizabeth Hansen So glad this video helped. Don't feel bad either, I messed up my first envelope. Once you get it though you will be amazed at how easy it is.
THANK YOU for posting this. I just got this the other day at M's and had no clue. I'm horrible at math so this thing confused the Dicken's out of me. Thank you so much for making this tool understandable for the math challenged! I'd love to add your channel to my creative blog Altered Whimseys.
Barbara Cobb This comment makes me SOOOO happy! This is the reason I do videos! I am so glad my video helped you and I am so glad you did not return it. So amazing what it can do and I hope you have so much fun with it in the future!
Hey Ian you're coming up in numbers...love it. thanks for the tutorial and it is a great tool for your arsenal. We do love our tools don't we. I think all crafters love their tools. Keep up the good work your doing Ian.. pat
Of course the minute I sent you my question, I realized that it was in centimeters. I feel so stupid. Thanks for your very quick response. I made my envelopes this afternoon and was extremely pleased with the results. Thanks again.
+Annabelle Sargent Happens to me all the time! If I had a dollar for every time I said something silly, well I could buy any crafting tool I ever wanted.
Awesome video...great tutorial....I did purchase the TSV as I was so waiting for this to come out as my original envelope punch board broke....I do love this and it was one heck of a value......I love too how it makes the box style envelope maybe you could have a video on how to create this. Just a request. Love your bloopers....you are too funny!! YOU ROCK!! Joan Smith
Blessings Ian, WOWZERS, you did a fantastic job in presenting the Punch Board. AWESOME. I would like to know when they are being sold to the public, so that I can buy it for myself. Blessings again from down under (Aussie Land).
LOVE THIS PUNCH! I have a suggestion on the box part. In the corners, after you scored everything, cut a notch there. It makes folding the box a lot easier and drawing it into a box form. I also found that it is easier to fold into a box when you do not glue the sides together. I left one box unglued one not. The glued one was hard to get the notches together. I managed to close the notches but it draws them tight, but not tight enough to pull apart. At least not on my sample.
This is my first time watching your channel and I subscribed to it. I liked your How To Video and I gave you a thumbs up. I think you have an amazing voice and should consider some form of broadcasting, if you have not already. You also have a beaming personality to boot! Happy Crafting, L~
L Anzaldo So glad you found me! For many years I was one of the voices of Six Flags Over Texas when I worked at Six Flags Radio. You are very kind to say such wonderful things! I hope you enjoy my videos and look forward to your comments in the future! :-)
I'm so glad I found your video. I was getting frustrated with my new punch board! It's so impressive that you figured this out with those very sketchy instructions that came with it. Now, I'm excited about using it but know I'll probably have lots of 'learning curves'!! Have you tried making an insert for the inside of the envelope? So that there's not just white on the inside? I have tons of solid colored paper that I got at a garage sale that I could use to make envelopes but would like to make an insert for the inside to match the card. Know what I mean? Well, maybe that could be another video???? TFS!!
Hi I have a 123 punch board and could not work out what I was doing wrong I was ready to put it in the grrrrrrr box but after watching your video I could clearly see why I was having trouble Thank you :)
I am so glad my video was able to help you! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It's comments like yours that make me feel so good. Thanks!
Diane Baumg So strange, in my email I saw a comment about wearing my Fitbit Flex again and then a comment about my video. However, when I look at it now, its only showing a comment about my video. I think the RUclips gremlins have ate your other comment LOL! Any ways, glad you liked my video and hope you will check out my other videos.
Your're a great teacher! Thank you for the video !! I'm more of a visual person so this definitely helps!! I will also be saying "punch poopies." funny :)
thank you so muchh!!!!! I found it very well-explained ' cause even though my native tongue is Spanish I could understanf all you said in your video and helped me a lot! :D
I finally started using mine! Yes I know it is June but better late than never. Thank you for your very well instructed video! I have a small question, I am making xsmall bows however the instructions says to make the C piece of paper at 1/4 inch in length, however how wide should it be? It does not say in the instructions unless I am missing something....thanks
creations by christine When making XS bows you are going to use the same paper width listed right after the bow size. So the paper width is going to be 1" for A, B, and C.Hope that helps!
Thanks for a most helpful video tutorial. I have one question. My board came with an extra sticker with more measurement guide. Does yours? I am thinking of sticking it on the front of the board so i can access it and most importantly not lose it.
+Annabelle Sargent Yes mine did come with one. However, that is the centimeters chart. Since Americans are the only ones around the world that use in instead of cm. You don't need to keep it unless you use cm. Hope that helps answer your question and thank you for your compliment. So glad you liked my video.
Didn't realize that this tool was 5 years old. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial, thinking of ordering it today. I had a bit of an unrelated question though, where did you get the tool that you used to apply adhesive? It frightens me, but I totally want one!
I am so glad you liked my video. The adhesive that I used was the Scotch CAT 085 Advanced Tape Glider. HOWEVER, I don't recommend it. When I got it I thought it was good, but it can be hard to reload, the adhesive isn't that great, and it is just too big. I much prefer the Kokuyo Long Dot Liner Adhesive Runner. Hope that helps!
Hi Ian. Great tutorial. Could you tell me the size of the largest envelope this will make. Can't find out anywhere. Also will it punch printer paper? Thanks. Jacky
this tool is great! I already have the envelope punch board and about to buy gift box punch board..til I saw this! I wonder would this be a great investment? I mean, I love it because it can do 3 things. but what if I overused it? :(
Great tutorial!! Ok here's the thing... i live in Mexico and i'm about to purchase the We R Envelope Punch board ok? and now i see the 1-2-3 Punch Board and i'm not sure which one i should buy!!! I'm a graphic designer and i own an Event Planner Store so we make party invitations and at least no one in my town makes envelopes from scratch and i would really love to make perfect envelopes but also... making boxes!! i mean all in one it's always better.... ok back to the point please help me decide!!! THANKS!
Dann Brbaz I'll be honest with you, why buy 2 or 3 different boards when you can buy one that has all 3 built into it. Do yourself a favor and buy the 1-2-3 Punch Board. I use mine so much more than I thought I would. It really has been amazing.
The problems that I have with the WRMK punch board is the color and font size. It is very difficult to see the reference charts. The font they use is very thin and that contributes to the difficulty seeing the chart. Then they use fractions instead of decimal which again condenses the font to an un-readable size. I struggle but finally got a copy of the chart enlarged and printed it. But again the newer version of this punch board is only in the cream with makes reading the markings and the charts almost impossible. Unfortunately as a retailer, I HAVE TO PURCHASE and use these products because of the tutorials and classes. But if there is ever an alternative, I will be quick to do a product review and dump WRMK.
Do I cut the paper to a square , for instance I need an envelope for a card that is 6x6 1/2. It says to cut the paper @10 1/8 is that length or width ?
Hi There,I'm South African and new to crafting and i have no idea what paper size 8 or 15.2 etc means? could you help me? For example if i wanted to create a box 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 it says to use paper size 10 (not sure what this paper size refers to? Thanks so much any help would be greatly appreciated xx
Hi Ian. Great video. This definitely decides my purchase decision. One more thing, can you please recommend me the adhesive gun you used? It seems also quite easy to use.
My envelope just doesn't come out correctly and I'm following the instructions to the letter. Out of about 8 tries, I got one to come out right. What can I be doing wrong.
I finally did it. It had to do with the first turn and centering the first score with the envelope groove. I was not lining it properly. Thank you for responding. You are a very good demonstrator. I wish the makers of the punch board would've made the measurements on the ruler a color that is easier to see. Green is not it! Thanks again
+Jacky Maclean You can get the Martha Stewart Scoring Board which I think will get you larger envelopes. Take a look at that and see if it might work for you.
Can someone tell me why the 1 2 3 Punch board and the Envelope Punch measurements vary so much? When making the 4 1/2 x 5 envelope both are a good size different.
Though I have not tried felt, I don't think it would work very well at all. Not sure that the cutting parts could punch though the felt and there would not be a clear score line.
The first time I used this to make an envelope I was ready to throw it, made 4 envelope and each one came out square because I kept measuring off the first measurement. I when back to HSN and watch the video and the light bulb went off...duh Guess what the envelopes come out perfect now.

I hope they do because these are so cool!
Great Video thank you for sharing. What is the name of ur adhesive gun & where can i get one from? Thanks. X
@@OffKilterCrafterIan Thank you so much for the response!
I just bought one and was going to return it. I will cut and fold with you!
I hope my video helps!
Thanks so much. Great tutorial.
So glad you found this video useful. Thanks for leaving a comment too!
My punch board got stuck. ☹️ Any suggestions on how to get it functional again and to prevent future sticking? It really is an excellent tool. ✉️🎁🎀
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that. Have you tried contacting WRMK? I bet they would know what to do.
Hi Ian. Great tutorial. Could you tell me the size of the largest envelope this will make. Can't find out anywhere. Also will it punch printer paper? Thanks. Jacky
+Jacky Maclean Thank you! Yes you can punch printer paper and the biggest envelope it can make is a 7"x7".
this tool is great! I already have the envelope punch board and about to buy gift box punch board..til I saw this! I wonder would this be a great investment? I mean, I love it because it can do 3 things. but what if I overused it? :(
+Czarina Joy Pena You should totally get this one. It is really amazing and I don't think you can ever over use it! lol
+Off Kilter Crafter Ian Haha! yes sure. I'll be waiting for this tool to be available in craft stores here in the Philippines. :)
+Off Kilter Crafter Ian BTW it's already available here. Haha awesome
video was so helpful. thank you!
+Haley Bombastic I'm glad it helped you. Thanks for watching.
great job love this video
Thank you!
Off Kilter Crafter Ian thank you!!!! Just got mine!!!! It is great!! And so easy to use thanks to your tutorial!!
Thanks for the video! What adhesive roller do you use?
+Amanda Munroe It is the 3M Scotch Pink Advanced Tape Glider And Tape. I love mine so much!
I'm sorry to hear that you are having that issue. Have you seen that there is a white version? It might be better for you to see.
Great punch board thank you
You are very welcome. I hope you enjoy using yours.
👏🙄😄👀I love the tutorial! Thank u blessings!
I am so glad you liked this tutorial and I am so glad it helped you. Thank you for the wonderful comment and for watching my video.
Do I cut the paper to a square , for instance I need an envelope for a card that is
6x6 1/2. It says to cut the paper @10 1/8 is that length or width ?
angela If you are making an envelope, you will cut the paper square. So if it gives you a measurement of 10 1/8 you will cut it to be 10 1/8 X 10 1/8.
Great job. It was so much easier… 🙂👍🏻
So glad to hear it!
+Lindie Wiese You are going to use a 10" x 10" piece of paper or 25.4 x 25.4 centimeters.
Great job!
Thank you!
I just purchased this item and I can't figure out how to pull out the extension arm for scoring boxes, on the right of the board. Any suggestions?
open the punchboard, next to the blue printed envelope, to the right, will be the words "score extender" swing that down and away.
Did you get it? I saw Marina posted an answer to your questions and I hope you got it all working.
Thanks for helping answer Mary's question.
Hi Ian. Great video. This definitely decides my purchase decision. One more thing, can you please recommend me the adhesive gun you used? It seems also quite easy to use.
I sure can! Here is the link for it on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Scotch-Advanced-Glider-4-Inch-36-Yard/dp/B00409NNYM
Thank you very much. Love your videos!
Great video! Thanks!
+bons589 Thank you!
I just bought the other machine to male envelopes . I wish I new of this 1 . I would of got this 1 instead. Man I'm mad now
Wow, this board is gorgeous! I hope I don`t have to wait a decade till it is available in germany :-)
Mari Rockabella First off it is SOOOOO cool to know that I have a viewer in Germany! Second, I hope they get it there soon! Because you need it!
Off Kilter Crafter Ian
:-)
Awesome video.
Brenda Hicks Thank you! So glad you enjoyed the video!
My envelope just doesn't come out correctly and I'm following the instructions to the letter. Out of about 8 tries, I got one to come out right. What can I be doing wrong.
It’s hard for me to know being that I can’t see what you’re doing. Might try watching the video again and see if that helps.
I’m so glad my video helped and you got it figured out. I’m so happy for you.
Hi, does this punch replace the gift box punch or is it different boxes on this punch?
+Nancy Botes It creates the same boxes the gift box punch board makes.
Thank you so much. I have ordered my 1-2-3 and can't wait to start using it. :)
What is the tape roller you were using called?
It’s the ATG tape roller from Scotch brand.
Can you make boxes bigger than 4*4
I think the largest box size is 3.25 x 3.25 x 4.5 inches, but I might be wrong.
Does these boards do the long envelopes
You can make an envelope up to 7”x7”.
Thank you so much. Rather disappointed as most of my cards are 8 & 1/4" X 5 & 7/8 but you've saved me wasting money. Cheers
+Jacky Maclean You can get the Martha Stewart Scoring Board which I think will get you larger envelopes. Take a look at that and see if it might work for you.
Thank you so much 😊 that was so awesome 😎
You are so welcome. Hope my video helped.
Can someone tell me why the 1 2 3 Punch board and the Envelope Punch measurements vary so much? When making the 4 1/2 x 5 envelope both are a good size different.
Veronica Gonzalez I don't know the answer to this question. Have you tried contacting We R Memory Keepers?
Can you use felt for this ?
Though I have not tried felt, I don't think it would work very well at all. Not sure that the cutting parts could punch though the felt and there would not be a clear score line.
So from the looks of it you only measure once?
+DiMa Co That is correct, you only measure once!
+Off Kilter Crafter Ian thank you for replying. That is what I was doing wrong.
The first time I used this to make an envelope I was ready to throw it, made 4 envelope and each one came out square because I kept measuring off the first measurement. I when back to HSN and watch the video and the light bulb went off...duh Guess what the envelopes come out perfect now.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was about to throw it in the trash :)
I am so glad I was able to help you!
awesome tutorial
Brenda Jablonsky Thank you! So glad you liked it! Did you get yours yet?
Off Kilter Crafter Ian no i haven't but thinking of checking to see if HSN still has it now
I think they still do!
You've convinced me 😀👍
Sweet! I hope you enjoy it.
Have been waiting for this video but can barely hear it :-(
Ann Weedman I just went back and checked it, seems like it had good volume to me. Is your sound on the computer turned down?
