- Just as promised, BMW is hosting the public debut of its hotly anticipated new 2025 BMW M5 in the UK at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. As if the G90 M5 wasn’t already an eye-catching car, the M division is showing off the super sedan in a striking Frozen Deep Grey with a matte finish.
We got up close and personal with the Frozen Deep Grey BMW M5 and its striking Kyalami Orange Merino leather interior, so here is a quick overview of the car unveiled.

@adrijus2390 The headlights are literally designed after the e60, and so are the diffuser and the front bumper. The whole car is just the e60. The f90 was an evolution of the f10.
The generation after these cars will take inspiration from the e28 and e21 for the 3 series as seen in bmw recent concept cars.

My first modifications on this are gonna be reinstalling (probably prefabbing) the vertical slats on the grill, outside of that I think it looks amazing

They look bad if the new shiny material they made. And looks cheap of course. Full black looks best at the moment. March 2025 will be introduced new interior colors
Interior quality of these cars has been on the decline since the bangle days, but I was low-key horrified when I went and sat in a new 3 series recently, really good looking at a glance but everything feels so cheap, made my e92 feel quite plush and well put together and it's not that nice either in reality 😂
Gaudiness has replaced tasteful aesthetics.
Last year I sat in the new i5 on that stand. Amazing but as you look beyond the new steering wheel and massive screen, there’s touch points and materials that are definitely cheaper at least looks cheaper. I’ve had several 5 series and X5 so well placed to comment on this.

they realized 98% of m5 are glorified street cars so they made it a pig because lets be honest they are barely at the track anyway..

Only with a faster 0-100km/h and better track times will be better than the previous one, altough his huge weight.
0-100 has been tested at 3.0 seconds without rollout subtracts that means about 0.1 faster than the f90 m5 comp 100-200 is much faster as is rolling acceleration which actually out accelerates the m5cs. Considering the price is about the same it’s not a competition model and likely different target audience it’s ok.
@@Bimmer_Bill however you’ll go threw tires faster than other counter parts from the weight
@@okieg8960 undoubtedly so. But when you can afford a $120k plus car. Changing $2k worth of performance tires a little more frequently (maybe one additional set per year?) isn’t a big deal.

If you're in NYC I'll let you drive my F90 comp. You'll never say that again. 2.7 0-60 is master tier. The sound, interior and overall feel is top top tier. The handling is top tier as well. Not sure which M5s you have driven but it seems like none.

@chris0628 you have ever heard of chasis stiffness it's required for cars like these, which is why the weight is so high. The porsche panamera is in the same situation.
The G90 m5 is also tuned down from last year, it's only slower because bmw reduced it's v8 power from 670hp to 550hp, instead of increasing it to 750hp to make up for the weight.
The touring will be even more heavier

@@scherpebocht What do you drive? Everywhere I go its non-stop attention in my F90C wrapped satin black... EVERYWHERE. I have a G90 allocation because I'm a 6-time back-to-back M5 owner, I'll be getting one of these days 1.

What the hell happened to this car company?
The display is cheap and ergonomically bad for the driver vs a binnacle and nice physical controls.
Unfortunately that's the service pack it was on. The next major tech upgrade is 2025
The m5 got ruined for me
If I owned one of these I would look into pulling the battery out, and the electric motor in the transmission then getting an engine tune on the s68. Which...why does it only make 577hp???? Nobody asked for a hybrid M5.
Probably easier to just get a F90 M5, lighter, looks better and easier to tune if you want to.
@@rcauthen324 F90s are mostly locked. I wouldn't say its easy to tune. I had to send my ECU away.
@@bmwmd110 Agree; however, I am sure the G90 ECU will be lock as well and will probably be awhile before someone is able to unlock it,
PS I am keeping my F90 Comp; not into the new G90 looks or weight. Hopefully, the LCI in 3 years change some designs especially the front bumper and rear diffuser.
