    I resigned being a flight attendant after my first child, raised my 2 kids, then I'm ready to go back, my youngest is now 14. Being a mom at home, is a gift to your children❤

    Ohh my gosh, you worked SO HARD, but you got there, be proud If yourself. I’m proud of you and you’re an inspiration for me now, that I’ve been watching the whole training process you passed. Congratulations anyway and be proud of yourself. You’re not a flight attendant now, but who knows in a few years when you daughter get a bit older? We don’t know. Congratulations for everything.
    Today I passed for all the stages of the interview process of the Air Transat. I wasn’t expecting that to be honest. Your video helped me a lot.
    Do you have Any other tips about the training process? They all said the training is reeeeealy hard. I had an idea watching your videos here.
    Thank you again be proud of your hard work and courage. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

      Thank you so much!! I had so much growth in a span of 5 weeks that it felt overwhelming at times but so worth it.
      My tips are:
      1) Don't overthink it (literally go day by day and don't even think of the day ahead. You will know what needs to get done. Just do it).
      2) Leave questions are your exam that you don't know 100% and then swing back and answer the ones you left blank. Once that's done, go over your entire test again.
      3) Trust the process!! Truly, you are going to learn a TON of info, and you're going to feel overwhelmed, but trust the process!
      You can only try your best, and your best is always enough. Whatever is meant for you will be.

      @@tguderyan33 Hey I received an email today saying that they are still not sure when the training slot is going to be available and they are not able to give an estimate on how long it’s going to take however I’m still in the pool for 6 months. It hasn’t been a month since I got the acceptance email.
      Did you receive this kind of email as well? Makes me worried.

      I know🥹 I loved being a flight attendant but wasn't worth it for how much I was away. Normally it's very flexible but when we opened back up during covid we were swarmed with people and not enough staff so we were being iver worked.

    The airlines are hurting for employees and I have heard from several of the flight attendants on their channels that the first couple of years are very hard. Sorry, it didn't work for you. It's a tough gig. I hope you find a fit in something else. As for the pay, that has been what I have heard from all the women posting on here. I'm surprised you didn't know that.
    I heard that Delta was going to start paying for boarding. As far as now, they are the only airline doing that but I'm sure others will follow with trying to hire new people.

    • @tguderyan33
      @tguderyan33  2 года назад +1

      I knew that you get paid to fly but Vancouver to Victoria is a 14 minute flight so if you do that 5 legs a day you get paid for 1hr and 10mins when you work 7.5hrs (be there 45mins before boarding, safety checks, boarding, safety demo, flying, deplaning, grooming the aircraft). Westjet encore isn't like most airlines you fly from yyc to the west (encore stopped going east when I graduated) so our flights are no longer than 2hrs long, most are 1hr or less. Sometimes they will give you a random 3hrs off between legs which is not helpful so you sit in the airport or aircraft for 3hrs waiting to go again.. unpaid.. with summer there is a ton of storms/thunder lighting so your stuck on the tarmac often. No one explains how much work or sitting around waiting unpaid. You don't really realize until your working 8-13hr days getting paid 3-5hrs then it hits you. As awful as that all sounds I still loved it but I don't think it's fair.

      @@tguderyan33 Yea I get it, but it is what it is, or in your case, what it was. I see that with a family is would really be hard. It's true people can't always appreciate a situation, good or bad, until in it. If you want to work, I hope you find something that is exciting and fulfilling and pays you enough.

      Aw thanks Jacqueline thats very sweet, I hope you enjoy the direction of this channel. Unfortunately being that I live minimum 2.5hrs from the nearest airport it wouldn't be feasible for me to continue working in an airport. I was really only interested in being a flight attendant.

    • @tguderyan33
      @tguderyan33  Год назад

      It really all depends how much your working and where your flying to. Vancouver to Victoria is a 14min flight so you get paid for 14mins but if I was going to yellowknife then it would be more as the flight was longer. You don't even make a round about steady income. It fluctuates big time. But I will say flight attendants make peanuts and no one is a flight attendant for the money. It's for the experience (love taking care of people, love traveling for cheap, love flying ect). Biiiiig discount when you leisurely travel as a flight attendant makes it more worth it.
