Greetings, I was thinking about going back to how my mom did our hair. She kept our hair to the middle of our back. She only washed our hair twice a month, sometimes once a month. That was the only time she used water in our hair. The way menopause is doing me, I am a little nervous about things
I drink tons of water everyday. No matter how much moisturizer products I put on my hair, soon as I go outside all those products absorb to the air. My hair is a challenge for me. Please help!!!😔
You know what's crazy. When I watched her video on aloe and glycerine. I ran in the bathroom and got my gel that I've been using since 2008. It's an aloe gel right but when I re-read the ingredients it had glycerine in it. I was wondering all these years why my hair responded so well to this gel. I would try other gel over the years, but always came back to my IC fantasia gel. My hair responds to this gel , so I go in what my hair responds to. Thank you Karen for your knowledge and being detailed with it. You don't know how long I've been needing detailed advise. God bless you. 🙏🥰
Hey there! I am going to check out Okra! Haven't heard of its benefits of it but will looking forward to learning! Thank you so much for sharing! Generally speaking those who don't like glycerin will use Aloe vera instead.
You got this! Welcome to the Curl House Community 💜 Please send my channel for additional solutions to your growth challenges! You’re in the right place!
That is such a great question! It’s a loaded question because nowadays it’s really hard to distinguish the difference and most use them interchangeably. Both leave in and moisturizers contain a high concentration of WATER 💦 And many times both have humencants and emollients but at differing concentrations. I think this warrants a whole video! I think I will create this video THIS WEEK - since I’m all about moisture in my latest vidoes - I will add this to the series!
My short hair always dry up that is Jherri Curl came. Our hair must stay damp or turns into kinky hair when it dries. I spray or rub a damp wash cloth thru my hair to let my curl pop...
I try to drink 8 cups of water per day and I was washing my hair once a week, then I was told that washing once a week was what was drying my hair out but if I try to go longer than 7-10 days my scalp is on fire. So is washing grey hair once a week to often?
You ABSOLUTELY can wash your hair once a week. Your hair may be dry due to its porosity among other things....here ia a few video that can help: ruclips.net/video/mT4zrQS8BYM/видео.htmlsi=KRMxLaCnCd7fadKp
Hey there! As often as needed depending on your moisture cycle but on average a few days per week. Too much glycerin (if not properly diluted) can make the hair feel gummy. But typically glycerin already mixed in hair products have the proper ratio so should be fine.
@@KarenofCurlHouse Thank you. I ordered the glycerine you recommended so I don't think it's diluted. I just received it yesterday so I haven't tried it yet. Literally just received the hydrosol today. I'm ready now. Thanks again!

Is this the same case with using humectants in your moisturizing routine? Eg. Glycerine, honey
If you're a fan of DIYs, think of aloe vera (suggested in the video) or okra gel. Okra is a gem that is quite ignored

Hi… I do have a question. My hair has a sulfur/ egg smell and it’s so bad when I went my hair. Is there something I can I do?
Hello, how often should I put hydrosol on my scalp?
Hey there! You can spray daily or as often as needed -- its light and primarily water so it won't build up on the scalp.
Thank you!❤️

Hello Karen, I purchased some of your Hair Nourishing leave in conditioner. My hair is very thin, so the leave in gets on my scalp. Is this ok?
Yes Ms Lois! I designed my leave in to be very light weight and the ingredients are fine for the scalp - most are not though
