There are many factors to consider when creating a meal plan and yes, that food was not meant for children which needed a lot of foods (that was one mistake of this video) and also yes, it was little :( instead of just doctors, a dietician should collaborate in order to have a healthy and wholesome meal 🥰🥰🥰

PrincessDualshock I mean I don’t wanna offend anyone but I am a guy and I must say I get that it’s harder for girls in life you guys have to deal with the pregnancy when the man doesn’t have to do anything (if you want to have kids not tryna force anyone or anything) and you guys have a situation monthly and you guys are way more prone to breast cancer and I get it but what makes me upset is when some(not all) girls get really upset when a guy says anything at all involving women but then I have heard plenty of girls (once again just ones I know not all) that are all about EQUALity and then say blatant sexist remarks about men when there are actually a vast majority of men who do not at all say anything sexist about girls so I guess what I’m saying is please don’t generalize all men because we are the same species as you and we have the same emotions as you and we get hurt too.

Yeah, but doesn't she get paid for doing her job at buzzfeed? it's not like her paycheck depends on how well this video does like it would if being a youtuber was her job. Or do you mean she should have a youtube channel as a side thing in addition to her job?

    • @PrincessPerfectMe
      @PrincessPerfectMe 5 лет назад +28

@@sophiethee I mean in addition to her job. This video series "world's ok-est mom" was her idea, I think, and it's popularity is largely in part to her personality. A lot of people who quit buzzfeed quit bc buzzfeed took all the money from their successful video ideas, then just paid them a regular salary which is way less than they would get from the videos themselves. Hannah has a regular job with Buzzfeed as a Tasty producer, this is just one of her responsibilities.
TLDR; I think she's probably not getting paid enough and she deserves better.

It was as always a very entertaining video. However, the liver thing I found quite interesting. I am from Switzerland where liver is a staple item. We make liver the following way:
    1. Cut the liver into stripes, cubes, chunks, what you prefer.
    2. Cute one to two onions in cubes.
    3. Cook the onions in a pan with butter. (Butter is very important, oil doesn't taste as good)
    4. When the onions are soft add the liver and cook for a couple of minutes, you want the liver to be pink inside, not raw.
And that's it, we eat it with Rösti, or just any kind of potato.
So if you try cooking liver again, this is a good method.

Pan fry the livers in oil , with salt and pepper .( after cleaning the livers ) !
    Then :
Caramelize onions add a little sugar 2-3 tea spoons ( depending on the amount of liver ) . Add a little tomato purée 2 tea spoons .
Add cooked livers to the caramelized onions .
I’d recommend trying to cook chicken livers instead ...
Try and serve it with rice or on toast .
I love basmati rice with it , or garlic bread .
Side note : don’t coat the liver in any flower , just enough oil to over it almost completely yet giving it a little breathing space at the top . Keep flipping them . They are very tiny and do not need a very long time to cook !

Liver & Onions: While bacon is frying in a large skillet, cut the liver into say 1" chunks dredge lightly in flour. When bacon is done remove & set aside, leave enough fat in the pan to lightly brown the liver (it'll get tough if you over cook) set aside, brown sliced onions, add water scrape up the brown bits from bottom of the pan. (Oops! Maybe Onions before Liver because flour will sticks to the pan & help thicken the gravy and you don't want that to burn while you're doing the onions) Add a good sized blob of ketchup. (gravy a reddish brown good red gravy too much.) Break the bacon into 1-2" pieces. Everything back in the pan to mix and heat through. Calves liver is more tender, but beef liver is cheaper.

Liver is better when you cut it into small strips before you bread it and cook it. It gets rid of that odd chewy texture. Also, if you cut it while it's still pretty frozen, it's not as gross and slimy to touch. You just have to work really fast because it defrosts pretty quick with the heat from your hands lol.
I learned to love weird foods from my grandmother. And liver was one of them. When it's cooked right, it's actually pretty good. It is just a lot of work to prepare it properly, and that's why I only eat it on special occasions. I don't blame you for wanting to go through that process again 😂

    • @sarahberlaud4285

Just to add to this, while liver isn't great during pregnancy (Hannah's serving looks like it has around 8 times the safe daily limit), as it can cause liver toxicity and birth defects, vitamin A (in the right balance) is super important for development of many of the baby's organs and also helps to keep the mother healthy both during pregnancy and after childbirth. It's a balance... so, anyone reading this, get your vitamin A during pregnancy, but from reasonable sources :)

I know I'm a bit late, but here at home we loooove livers with onion! we chop the livers in small pieces and then cook them on the frying pan like steaks, and then we fry thick onion slices on the fond that's left in the pan along with a bit of vinegar and maybe a bit of worcestershire or soy sauce (the more onions the better in my opinion) we usually serve it with freshly cooked white rice, it's delicious and not chewy at all :'D you should try it again sometime!

Italian recipe for cooking liver: FEGATO ALLA VENEZIANA (lit. "liver the venetian way")
-liver (I would say 400-500g) + I always buy pre-cured liver so I just have to cut it and cook it without the gross steps
    -red onion to taste
    -olive oil
    -red wine
    -salt
    -a cast-iron pan
    Cut the liver into pieces.
Heat up some oil in the pan and cook the onions with the salt in it until soft, put the liver in the pan on high heat to seal it, then add some red wine, some more salt if needed and cover with the lid and let it cook for something like 10-15 minutes on medium-low heat.
    Enjoy!
I've grown up on fegato alla veneziana so I assume that kids like it, plus it's great for immune system and brain development: that's what grandma always said!
    Lots of love from Italy,
    Marta.

Liver tip: In college I went to a sri lankan house party and had some sort of liver with a decent amount of tumeric in it. Between the flavor and the exotic factor I found that it made the liver a lot more palatable than western preparations. Like... I actually liked it...of their white American guests, I ate the most.
Really enjoying your vids has prompted me to finally research what it might have been. I now believe it was karal varuthathu. You could probably soak it even longer and still do the milk wash thing if you wanted to. I'm thinking that the vinegar and multitude of spices help to tenderize it a bit more and kill some of the aftertaste.
Wyatt still wouldn't like it, but everyone else might be more okay with it.
