I’ve never been pregnant but I’m kind of known in my family for weird food combinations. The chips and cottage cheese one made sense to me because I eat chips with cream cheese all the time. Also, spaghetti garlic bread sandwich is a genius idea!

When my mom was pregnant with me, she ate Mayo on bread. It’s my favorite thing. 😁 When I was pregnant, I got sick, lost 35 lbs, and couldn’t eat at all! Now My child, just doesn’t like to eat. Anything. 🤦🏻♀️

Fun Fact: Cottage cheese is actually a common chip dip and can be mixed with a little mayo and seasoned salt and pears (yes canned pears) to make a meal called pears and cottage cheese! Its a childhood favorite of mine. You can also skip on the pears and have a chip dip!
These are some of my 'I'm not pregnant but I have a craving for' food mash ups...
- Spray cheese on chocolate chip cookies
- Fries dipped in a mix of mayo, honey and black pepper
- Mac N Cheese with diced garlic dill pickles
- Toasted peanut butter, bbq chips and bacon sandwich
- Aged cheddar dipped in strawberry jam
- Take out fried rice mixed with mayo
- French toast grilled cheese with deli ham and thinly sliced apple sandwich
- Chicken ceaser salad with strawberries, blue berries and walnuts/pecans
And my son likes...
- Sliced dill pickles on pizza
Last video I saw from Hannah was when she lost her baby and I was heartbroken. I thought that this video was about cravings that she had when she was pregnant with boys. Currently 16 weeks pregnant and watching the chips and cottage cheese made me crave chips with that weird French onion dip from a jar lol. Also I’ve definitely caught my son dipping his apples in ranch with no shame. And my partner swears by garlic bread spaghetti sandwiches. It was a staple in his home growing up. I’m not a tomato sauce fan so I’ve never tried it, but I feel like it might be on the menu for next week.

Well when you put fruit in salad it’s usually something that can go well with the dressing like ranch is salty and creamy so basically apples and creamy salt in my opinion that don’t sound that good it’s different than a salad with balsamic vinaigrette and apples

As someone who has lived in Belgium, where fries are actually from btw, and who doesn't like ketchup (though I'm not that into mayo either), I actually forgot it was supposed to be something unexpected when she mentioned fries and mayo.

I love the fact that in every meal there is always salad/veggies. Even when they had pizza - it’s so important to balance the meals and have that fiber/vitamin intake while also have “naughty” food! Great choices!

If you've been to the Netherlands and you like sauerkraut, here's another thing to try: zuurkoolstamppot - warm sauerkraut mixed with mashed potatoes, usually served with 'rookworst' (smoked sausage, the closest thing available is probably hot dogs), fried bacon strips and if you like, a little mustard. We eat this (and other types of stamppot / mashed potatoes mixed with vegetables) mainly in the colder months.

This isn't a weird craving but my mom craved slurpees when she was pregnant with my sister. My sister through as she was growing up she hater slurpees while I loved them. My mom when she was pregnant with me she craved chili. As I grew up I hated chili but my sister loved it
We had the same in my family. My mom ate Wendy's alot when she was pregnant with me, and I didn't like it. But she ate at Ponderosa when she was pregnant with my brother and he hated it. I loved going to Ponderosa (went alot when mom was pregnant, lol, and kids ate free sometimes), and my brother LOVED Wendy's and she'd have to take me to Burger King because I wouldn't eat it.

The fry sauce in the Netherlands is literally my favouriiite. It’s like a mixture of mayo, ketchup and mustard lol and I try and make it at home(Canada) all the time since my first time there in Netherlands

My nana used to make apple, onion and cheese salad so I love the sound of apple with ranch sauce. Kinda like Waldorf salad. But she would make it with a dressing made from condensed milk, vinegar, mustard powder salt and pepper - condensed milk mayo. I don't know if that's a thing elsewhere in the world and even here in New Zealand it's considered very old fashioned but I love it
