Is your pick Highlander XLE or Limited and why? What trim is the best value for you? Thanks for watching & Subscribing - you each individually are the best! Jeff
Hey Jeff, you forgot to mention that the Limited comes with the Torque Vectoring All Wheel Drive if you choose the AWD option, while the XLE doesn’t. If you choose the XLE AWD option, you do NOT get the Torque Vectoring AWD system, you get the older more basic Torque Control AWD. Thus far for 2023 models only the Platinum, Limited and XSE will come with Torque Vectoring AWD.
We went XLE for the 400 pound weight savings, increased tire sidewall with smaller wheels, lighter load on the motor, bench seat for an extra person in the second row, less mechanics so reduced risk of additional mechanical failures, and cheaper.
XLE is a very nice car and by far the best value, but I put a deposit on the Limited AWD because I want the cooled seats for Texas summers, I want the coolness of the fully digital cluster(keeping it 100% honest) and I need the power folding mirrors since my new house has those stupid dual 8' wide garage doors instead of one big door.
I was thinking on putting a deposit on a limited AWD and hybrid. @ezekiel1hen how much is the minimum deposit and the estimate time arrival the delivery?
@@yogydiaz They say it's a "$1000 deposit", but they don't actually charge your card, they just put your contact and card info on a form. Every decent dealership operates the same way, in my experience. My Limited AWD(Wind Chill Pearl, Graphite Interior) is scheduled to come in on the week of December 5. @@panzer_TZ thanks for the information, I talk to a salesman he said the dealership are doing msrp+$1200 dealer add on. Did you also had a dealer upcharge?
@@yogydiaz Mine is through Family Toyota of Arlington and they want a $1200 add-on. Unfortunately that’s probably the best you’re going to get without traveling/waiting even longer. Another dealer I talked to wanted $3000 for a forced extended warranty package and $500 for nitrogen.
@@panzer_TZ yes sir, I have talk to Family toyota before most likely I will order through them. I walk in to Toyota of Richardson and they had few Highlanders non AWD/hybrid the lot and there mark up was 6k
Between the XLE and Limited, there's no comparison. The Limited trim wins hands down. However, I would pick neither; I would go with the Platinum, which is better comparison for the Limited.
Hey Jeff thanks for the review I was down getting a oil change for my 2021 XLE and the dealer was showing me the new features for the 2023 Limited. He advised me to wait a few months before I trade bc of some possible better deals around Presidents day and now I have 1.9% Toyota FI but they dont offer that now so he wants me to wait. I Love the new Limited 2023 but Im getting mine in blue with the tan interior so its going to be sweet!! I forgot Im getting mine with the rear bench seat which I prefer👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Unpopular opinion, i would like to see the Gen6 4runner come with a similar engine with turbo hybrid. As well as some of those dash features. the rest of the 4runner doesnt need power seats or lift gate.
Jeff i really appreciate ur awesome reviews. Ur charnel is by far the best and my favorite on RUclips. I’m going to buy my first car next month. I have a wife and two kids which suv or crossover will recommend to me for 2022? I’ve eying the Acura RDX, Hyundai Santa Fe calligraphy, Mazda CX-5 or CX9, and the Toyota RAV4 or the Highlander? I need a crossover that is safer and not boring to drive and more comfortable, pls reply
Oh gosh those are all good choices in different ways. I like Acura styling and handling. Love the Highlander versatility and smooth ride. Let me know what you end up picking. Try to test them out if you can find them :)
That's crazy. Small turbo in a vehicle this size isn't a good idea for reliability. That small engine working overtime to push that Highlander along. What a bad idea. Didn't even make a big impact on mpg. V6 will outlast a turbo 4 probably 3 fold.
@@Brisco_County_Jr i mean EPA emissions regulations. It's all about emissions. From the EPA standpoint, fuel economy is seen as a side benefit to improving emissions. I do not want 21 in wheel, can I get the Limited w/ standard 19 in wheel? To me 21 in wheel is for the look only and it can make the ride harsher and the tires easier to be damaged by pot holes and such.
Toyota makes fantastic but V6 engine is much better less wear on engine not a good buy. I’d go Honda Pilot V 6 285 horsepower and tons of space no doubt.
I'm not sure exactly but we are about to get our hybrid. Might be because Americans don't trust what they don't know. We are willing to take a small risk. Being a heavy rig powered by smaller engine with batteries helping. That there is a turnoff for most Americans
Whoever at Toyota decided to put volume knob on the 2023's Highlander Plat and Limited to the passenger side should be fired. No............ the steering wheels buttons are not the same!
I noticed that and was thinking the same thing. I often wonder where in the hell these engineer's brains are when it comes time to design interiors. I don’t prefer one of them it’s so ugly from the outside to the inside I mean everything ugly 😂. $50k for 2.5 with turbo you kidding me I rather get Lexus.
@@TheKingOfInappropriateComments Will some Lexus still have a v6 and v6 turbo. I know for sure small Lexus suv is all 4 banger now. I still can get Lexus IS350 v6 about $50k.

I wish they would show the Grand Highlander soon. That third row is just a dealbreaker. Appreciate your reviews Jeff.

Is Toyota producing more hybrid highlanders now? Is the parts shortage issue showing signs of life?
There are zero available in Southern California unless you want to pay like 10k over sticker.
