As a Smith, the sound of the blade tapping the anvil on the chop test, my heart stopped for a moment, glad it held up! wonderful to finally see a proper smith ACTUALLY forge their steel for one of these!
Half expected the music score from the forges of saruman to play as you hammered the steel. It was nice though to just hear what the hammer and anvil sound while forging
The Uruk blade: Definitely not a delicate weapon. But a very effective chopper. And that back spike is absolutely brutal against for example chainmail.
I was expecting it to be a little sharper but, it looks like it can hold up to the standards of an axe so it's good. Love the look. I believe its exactly like the sword used in the two towers as well as the fellowship.
That was quick fast and eficient as well as powerful and effective....! Well done my friend...! What metal did you used? And the Wrapping is great... I would Soak the wood in a semi gloss semt transperent black stain for a 12 to 24 hours. To make black and seal well... Have a Merry Christmas Season... My Friend... Skholl...!
Very nice. Also it's a clever and simple design. Good for chopping through light/no armoured foes and also punching through hard helmets and chest plates. Efficient orcs.
Question, what reason did you have to place the blade between those two wood pieces? Asking it since i too work on a blackmiths workshop and have never seen a technique like the one you used
The anvil tap is to help reposition the hammer under hand, it becomes a habit. I didn't start doing it at first, but now it seems I do it without thinking. Wierd.
Una pregunta, todas las espadas y cuchillos que fabricas, te los quedas tú, los vendes, los regalas a familiares y amigos...? Es que tengo curiosidad por sabi😅
Did Tolkien design this sword for his trilogy? Or does it harken back to historical examples? There are some really weird sword shapes from Africa that are close but not this definite a vertical spike on so straight a blade. Nice play from the usual. Love it.
6:30 its crazy, with experience, how precisely close to the final shape you can forge the item to. without the use of a grinder. you see "blacksmiths" nowadays barely do any forging and then put a grinder to it for hours just to get the right shape lol

Would be cool. I can't use copyright music though. You can alwas play it for yourself of course. Lol
Totally in a revision lol
I just want to appreciate your art very quick. Its amazing to see how much forging goes in even such a crude Uruk weapon.
Ur amazing
your surprised face when it cut wood amazingly ahahhaha, incredible work as always, love the raw look

Very practical
and dehorsing knights off
The spike is used to grab horsemen and pull them down
The leather wrapping technique is awesome, do you have more videos showing that, maybe a tutorial? or links to more info?
I just learned it. I will show it more detailed in the future.
Прикольная мачета получилась!
А крючком можно снопы сахарного тростника за спину через голову метать!
Yes. It's remarkable handy.
Nice job, I always liked how those looked.
Straight from the forges of Mordor. Nice.
Thanks!
Uruk Hai were breded and armed in Isengard :P
Amazing job! Greatings from Brazil!

looks like meats back on the menu boys!!!
Lol. Yes indeed.
Whom do you serve?? Saruman
Nice work as always 👏👏
Put a D guard on that and it would be so awesome!!

Hello, I used springsteel.
Any Uruk-hai would be proud to wield one of those. 👍
Uruk-hai pride. Sounds like a new holiday. I wait, I have to be careful of x age generation humor.
Very nice. Also it's a clever and simple design. Good for chopping through light/no armoured foes and also punching through hard helmets and chest plates. Efficient orcs.
GREAT JOB FREERK, I ADMMIRE👍👍👍
Thanks!
How much would this cost?
The perfect sword to be cleaning with an oily cloth...when your daughter brings home her first boy friend.
That should work well. Or sharpening it with a rock and not saying anything
Excellent travail 👍🏻 , historiquement il y avait des armes comme celle-ci au moyen âge appelé de manière courante des "fauchons"
RIP Lurtz
uruk hai sword looks so functional. it's a slasher, a chopper, armor piercing.... can parry and block.
Just stumbled onto this video. I'm very happy with the algorithm for this one.

Looks like slow cooling for the normalization cycle
All I hear is: 🎶Da Da Da......Dum Dum Dum🎶
Cool! Recently re-watched the movies. Great stuff.
I noticed this guy doesnt do that anvil tap that so many other people do.
Kinda nice to see

They are almost all made in commission
I need one! That's so cool!
This one is available.
How much
I can say that Freerks weapon would be better than anything they produced in Isengard....
Very cool Ork sword! How is the handlewrap called? I rly like it.
I don't know. I sort of figured it out based on whip wraps I saw online.
@@freerkwieringa275 That helps, now i can do my own research ;)

Maybe a little of both. Weta Workshop designed them to look practical and at the same time fit the Tolkien theme of industrial made weapons.
I think in the books Tolkien simply refers to the Uruk sword as a scimitar. Not sure the movies ones are "Tolkien accurate" still cool.
Nice work!
Thanks!
You should add cutting tests.
Tried a cast like in the movie?
bronze maybe?
Whaat, I thought you pour molten metal into a mold!! Did Peter Jackson lie to us??
Hahaha. He might have been.
Only the orcs did for the movie scene... they forged everything for the movie... love the special features on movies these days
Very nice work.
The Orcs loved to play hockey very much. 😀
Never thought of that. Felt more like a lumberjack tool to me though.
have you ever thought about doing some commentary over your videos? I would really like to know what a lot of your thought process is
I did in some videos.
Spectacular.
درود 👍
Hello
damn great work but no song???
It's better that way
Cool
great, now make about 9,999 more
masterpiese in my opinion.
Fetch the treasury!
Where's the part when you wave it around while still glowing hot while doing animalistic screaming?

It's like a langseax with a hook, which I hear was for taking cavalry off horseback and working around shield.
could work very well
And after the Conan's sword
Por favor faz a faca de chivalry 2.
Só pagar e ele faz
