Very cool Spear-sword! So versatile, great indexing, not too tip-heavy, good pommel/butt. Set to survive against shields and counter-attacks. Maybe some small quillons but stubby as on a boar-spear. Amazing work.

Extremely cool weapon! Zombie Tools made a unique blade called the "Spit" that was inspired by the Zulu Ikwala too. I liked their spin on it for being more beefy and virtually indestructible

That's a beautifully made weapon, it'd be a great addition to any collection. The only change I'd make is to turn the butt end into a (beer) bottle opener 🤣
What I think is fascinating is Shaka Zulu though thousands of years apart and thousands of miles away managed to create similar tactics and hand to hand techniques remarkably similar to the romans

So I'm making a spear similar to yours and I had a few questions; •final handle/blade thickness? I'm making mome from 1/4 inch plate stock. • with the handle being so long amd the scales being equally long, are you worried about impact shock breaking the scales/pins. • how many pins did you use?
Mine is a lil thiccer than 1/4", Mine is about 8mm thicccc Well use materials that are flexible, if you use stuff thats easy to break, dont put it on stuff thats having a loaf of impact shock. Ash foe example forks best for this - I used 3 (as seen in video)
