What is sad is we live in a country where it's so expensive to live we have to think of other alternatives to survive. I've been thinking about doing this just to pay off my bills and save money. Hospital parking lot is smart.

Heyyy Florida born and raised here, and I’ve been living in my car for 6 months now and honestly, it’s a fluctuating experience. I started towards the end of fall and sleeping at night through the winter was amazing. Now we’re in spring and summer 🥲 the humidity is killer, there’s no escaping it. And if it wasn’t for my little fan, I wouldn’t be here today. Living in your car is definitely a unique lifestyle and causes you to think outside the box, with new problems and opportunities to expand constantly popping up. So good luck on your journey and maybe we’ll cross paths. (Also I disagree, I love Florida’s nature, there are some really diverse and beautiful spots around here.)

Hey Alex! I agree this heat is no joke.. I gotta get out of Florida if I’m trying to survive in my car😭I feel like Florida is very nice for someone who likes beaches.. I’m not sure what else there is to offer other than the springs and the Everglades😭🤷🏽‍♀️

You can also go to the bigger cities and check out what they have. I travel outside of Florida too, but I feel like people who don’t like Florida either don’t have a taste for it or haven’t taken the time to explore what it has to offer. 😁

Honestly, I think it’s a testament to our resilience. No matter what the elite one percenters throw at us, we always find new ways to not just survive but to thrive with what little we have. Being dependant on luxury and convenience was making us weak and hyper dependent on a comically corrupt government. But the more time you spend realising that a little discomfort isn’t all that bad and the more we see just how little we need over half of the stuff we have, the less we need to rely on anything else.

I actually prefer to sleep in lit areas with light traffic. I don’t like being in dark secluded areas because if something were to happen, who would know? Besides, if I’m sleepy, I will fall sleep anywhere which is not always a good thing. I prefer Planet Fitness and stores that stay open 24 hours like Sheetz and Wawa. I park in front of the building so if there’s a camera, it’s gonna see me. (I watch a lot of the show “See No Evil”😫🤣). I haven’t worked out a bed situation yet, but it’s cool for right now. I have done nomadic living for four years. I have learned about a lot of areas you can sleep. My favorite places were the truck stops and rest areas. However, you need to be careful of rest stops as some of them are hangouts of drug trafficking. Actually, there are a few rest stops that will not allow you to sleep overnight and I think they are the ones that have the drug problem. I am right now in a sticks and bricks but I foresee me having to go nomadic again. Since I have to stay stationary for a while, I recently found out about overnight sleeping parking areas for the homeless. I don't know if they will allow anyone who needs overnight shelter, but if they only have it available to the residents of the city I would park just outside the area for protection.

Wow you’re so beautiful I decided to move out on my own and live in my truck. Rent is crazy here in south Florida. you definitely seem like a free spirited person we both have a lot in common but freedom is something I like more than being a slave to society. This is an amazing experience and I love hearing other peoples stories

Have you tried using the black blackout curtains for your windows? I have the 84” ones and I pin them along the sides and back window and put the shield in the front, I’ve even used a black table cloth from dollar tree. Love your videos. Do you have a video on your pee towels

Black poster board...cut it to the shape of your windows (cut just a tiny larger than your windows) and it will stay without tape.

Some of those wind/rain guards on your windows so that you can crack your windows without being noticeable.

You are such a nice person. I agree those palm trees are a nuisance in California unless they actually are producing dates. I think of middle class residential areas where people are friendly. If someone was outside you could ask hey, do you mind if I sleep in my car in your driveway tonight as I’m traveling through. I know my mom and I would say sure no problem to someone like you.

We like to sleep in hammocks as mucc as possible. Have rain fly and bug net bc I’m in sc but haven’t done car thing yet. Did go from 8-room house in 19 acres to a camper. Been in camper about two years now. Not bad.
