The little scout car is a Daimler Ferret mk 1/2,powered by a Rolls Royce B60 6 cylinder petrol engine with a 5 speed preselect gear box that you can use in both forward and reverse just by moving a lever. Other interesting thing is the steering wheel is inverted, mounted below the front armour facing down. I used to own a mk2/3 with a rotating turret, went like a rocket propelled go cart! Hope that helps. Oh and the American Scout cars are Whites with a Herculse petrol engine,
Ferrit Scout Car. Used by British & Canadians. Canadian used them into the late 1970s. I was taught how to drive them in the mid 1970s. Your reused box ambulance was used by the Canadian reserve into the early 1970s. Interesting finds. Thanks for sharing.
They are all Dodge. The 1st one is a carry all, the 3rd is a M43 ambulance version of the M37. The 2nd is 6x6 is a WC62 1.5 ton. I have a cab with complete front clip and hood for it. The pickup is the 1/4 ton. Correct on the Scout Car m3a1. The motor is a Hercules 320cui. The armored rig I think is called a Ferret. Should be a gas engine. The yellow 6x6 is a CCKW.
The good old Ferret Armoured Car. This vehicle was my bread and butter while serving in BAOR (British Army of the Rhine) as Troop Commanders driver. Petrol engine and up to 50mph on the road. .30 MG in the turret.
Too bad the military contracts included clauses that banned the reimport of wartime deployed vehicles due to the not wanting to hinder the auto manufacturers rebound from the drying up of military contracts by glutting the market with surplus military vehicles that seemingly didn’t wear out and if so were inexpensively repaired via surplus parts.
The British armoured car is a Daimler Ferret late 50 s to 70s it has a multi fuel engine may be a series 1 or 2 either way quite rare your side of the pond ,it looks like an early one,the first dodge is a military carryall which is rare and worth a deal of money restored,I wish Icould afford to import it to England rare as hens teeth over here upwards of £30 thousand pounds done nice ,love the vlog more strength to you brother …regards Gunner
FYI…it’s a 4.2 ltr straight six Rolls Royce petrol engine….does about 9 miles to the gallon….i have a later mK2 with a rotating turret with 1919 Browning machine gun in the turret
The armoured car at 6.50 is a Ferret scout car from the 50's. There are some armoured glass windows and an episcope in the rear of the 'rescue' ambulance veh, these may be for the Ferret. It looks like a Mk2 with the pintle mount for a .30. If you pull the registration mark from it you can apply for a print out of its service life. If the registration mark is illegible it should be on a plate inside, it will read as two numbers, two letters, two numbers.
This is very cool I enjoy watching your camper videos This one is awesome And the variety of vehicles is amazing Please keep up the fantastic work and keep us all informed Thank you and God bless you and yours
Добрый ночи. Дорогой друг. Один вопрос, когда вы снимали видео. Вернее в начале от 0:12 и до 0:19 секундах кто-то пробежал между машинами. Или там свами был ещё кто-то.
Yes it's British! It's a Ferret MKII Scout car with a machine gun turret
@simonrhodes84 it's a mk 1/2 c May 1962 would have had a Bren updated to a GPMG around 1970.

Are there any trailer big enough to carry a Tank ??? 😊😊😊
Very cool and enjoyable video. If a person had the time and resources, that Rescue vehicle or Ambulance would be a great outback camper conversion.

The 6x6 isnt a CCKW, it is a GMC M135 or M211, post ww2

Are those vehicles Open Season, or what? I can get them running if you need a Mechanic.
It's a MK 1/2 Ferret, c May 1962. Be interesting to see it's Hull plate.
That old Army Ambulance is an old converted Civil Defense Vehicle from the 50's.

At the 9:34 minute mark, behind the jeep there is a DUKW, see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DUKW
Those are Dodge Powerwagons!
No they’re not. One is a 41 Dodge Carry-all and the other is a 41 Dodge weapons carrier. Powerwagons didn’t come out till later.
Scout cars are very rare...
If I were a tad closer, I'd have one of those Scout Cars...
They can all be saved.
Dodge carryall , Dodge weapons carrier , Dodge M-37 military ambulance 🚑 👍
If the carryall is sound... good floor and good back doors... It is a keeper!
That is a Daimler Ferret!

3:13 see the civil defense decal on the passenger door. Obviously intended as an ambulance, I wonder what CAVAS stood for?

I’ll buy the ferret..who do I get in contact with??
The Dodge vehicles use a flat head 6 cylinder engine. The M43 ambulance would be a nice one to keep.

They are run flat tyres.
3:29 I could smell it when you open the door!
I'm pretty sure that one is a British Fox Not sure the year or purpose But they're really neat looking
It's a Ferret, 6 cylinder RR. much earlier than the Fox.
