This reminds me of Keith Jarrett that spent his life in a stratosphere, occupied by those for whom the piano becomes an extension of the body. Now struck down by a stroke that has paralyzed the left side of his body. And we think Tantalus had it bad.
My old clarinet teacher said he would pay a surgeon $100,000 if the surgery would increase his single tonguing speed by a few BPM. Regular people don't get how obsessive classical musicians are about technique!

That is dedication😂. I’ve heard stories of pianists cutting the webbing on their fingers with razor blades to increase their hand spread.
