If the police and CPS couldn't do anything the multiple times they went to the home, what do people expect you to do? Your sister is just that, your sister, she is responsible for herself. I agree. I have all kinds of feelings in all kinds of directions. But at the end of the day, things were reported from people that lived in the same neighborhood. And from an older child that had left the exact home.
And the authorities did nothing.
I don't know how people can try to pin blame on the sisters that were cut off. It's so confusing.

I just have one thing to say. Ruby and Kevin weren't good parents even before Jody came into the picture. I don't want Ruby's trial is all about Jody did everything. They are (Ruby & Kevin) just as guilty as Jody. This is just my opinion
@justlindalol I stopped following Ruby and Bonnie because of the way they treated their children. Bonnie & Joel seem to have changed and I hope that lasts, but Ruby never did.
I put a lot of blame on their LDS Church's teaching. They encourage members to have large families, but that is cruel and thoughtless. I have just 1 child, because that is all I wanted. I can continue with my successful career and devote lots of time to my daughter.
It is time for the LDS church to stop controlling their members so strictly. They are haemorrhaging members now and that will continue.
It's weird to say to someone I don't know (and probably weird for you to hear from someone you don't know), but I'm so proud of the way your family has come together for each other. Stay strong, stay honest, and continue to hold onto each other.

Hi Bonnie, I went through a family trauma and I was so grateful my parents were honest. The only thing I'd change is having counseling when it was going on. It is a lot for a little brain to grasp, and having someone untangle all the craziness going on would've saved years of confusion. Just a tip❤️
I imagine it must be difficult to seek counseling given the fact that (bad) counceling (to Ruby) is what got the family in this situation.
A few minutes into the video I realized that the ruby in trouble is your guys' ruby! Oh I'm so sorry your family is going through this. I hope all those babies find a safe place to heal. And that your family is able to heal from this.

I started watching you or listening during my morning commute to college every morning. And than turned into getting home and watching the voices I listened to for 2 hours a day. Do you guys understand that if her siblings were to have gone and taken rubys kids they would have been charged with kidnapping?! Get a grip!! We know that they ALL were calling and reporting the situation to the POLICE and THEY DIDN’T DO ANYTHING!!! Aunts and uncles are not allowed to just come swoop up your kids. No matter the state they’re in.

I know that as adults, ellie wasn’t a fan of ruby. I think Ellie has even said in the past that she only talked to 3 siblings. Ruby to me, always came across as the black sheep of this family. Bonnie, I’m so sorry you’re all having to deal with all of this. I’ve followed you guys for years and this whole thing broke my heart for you all. I just can’t believe that your parents flew back from their mission to be in the court room for her when she treated them so poorly. I know your parents are loving people but it just made me so sad that your parents lives and mission are being impacted by Ruby and her messed up life.

I commend you guys so much for keeping your children in the loop with all of this. Situations like this are unfortunately not unique but where anxiety can blossom so quickly. I look back at different circumstances in my own childhood where so much heartache and worry could have been so easily avoided had me and my siblings feelings been taking into account in situations where the “adults would deal with it”. I am always in awe of how carefully you protect your children’s emotions. I know that may sound odd to say, but there are lots of parents who just simply can’t see past themselves.
Although none of us expect it, we do appreciate an update your children, and how they are all dealing with this as well. We truly do care for them as if they were family. ❤

I think you hit it spot on when you said in your stories something to the affect “it actually hurts you when you follow someone you don’t “know” but feel like you do that you’ve watched for YEARS hurting through the screen” I truly feel this for your family. I wouldn't normally ask this personal a question but I'll leave it here and of course you don't have to address it if you don't want to. I have been wondering if one of the things from childhood that Ruby might have been upset about involved her having so much responsibility for Ellie when she was young. Several of you have mentioned how as the oldest, Ruby was left to care for the youngest in a lot of ways. Maybe there was some resentment there. (Of course she also spiraled and started making things up)

Bonnie…… prayers for you and the family! Remember this…..we cannot help what others do! I know this from experience, my son chose drugs and I hated it! A life of misery for me! Now, he has a beautiful wife, a home, an awesome job, and has been drug free for 7 years! I thank God every day and am a very happy Mom! Stay strong! ❤

I often wondered when it was clear that you guys weren‘t talking anymore how Olivia and Rubys girls Abby and Julie did with not talking anymore - they seemed super close and I can‘t imagine how confusing that must have been and is for all of them.

For New Years Eve my family made a bonfire, and we wrote on a piece of paper what we didn't want to do anymore...and throw it in the fire. Mine was to stop obsessing over what I cannot control. 20204 NO OBSESSING! Ahhhhhhhhhh.....
Just wanted to comment how much you and your family has an impact on me and my daily life, some of my favorite parts of my day, is spent watching your videos, I cry with you all, I laugh with you all, I even eat dinner with you all when food is presented in your videos hehe, there are a boatload of people that just are now coming across you and your family’s content for clout and tea and drama. I'm so sorry to hear on what you and your entire family are going through at this difficult time. I always love seeing your family videos with your relatives, including ellie and jared and you're definitely strong. For your kids to say that they were not comfortable with their cousins AKA Ruby's Children, it was very smart of them to speak up and tell you on how they were uncomfortable on what was going on, etc. Your kids didn't deserve that last play date given the circumstances that took place and with them speaking up on how they felt uncomfortable with everything, your kids will totally be able to speak up when they go to future Summer camps, go to a friends' house, etc.
For your kids to be crying a lot because of what happened to their aunt and cousins, that's totally normal and your children were feeling traumatized.
If your kids are still feeling like they might need to cry or if they're feeling nervous or anxious, I have some tips that might help you.
First of all, make sure that you tell the kids that you'll always be there for them if they need any emotional support and even if they're not home or if they're at school, they can always tell a teacher on how they're feeling, and the whole 9 yards.
Also, lets say that you might have to be away for some family business and if one of your kids has to stay at friends' house for the night or anything, here's what I suggest.
If your kids are feeling sadness or anxiety, I would make sure that you're in communication with the friend's parent on what's going on with your son or daughter and if any emotional break downs do occur at the friend's house while you're not around, make sure that your child tells the friend's parent such as the mom on what's happening and to make sure that they have the necessary support and comfort that he or she may need.
Please continue to be string, will be praying for you, we definitely need to be kind to one another, and I know that things are even harder right now given on what's going on in the world to top it all off. Spend lots of time with the kids, take them for a relaxing ride in your car, hold your child's hand when he or she is riding in the front seat next to you to give them lots of love, you can sing songs together, do some meditation, yoga, and so much more.

I believe her...i have said this before...i have watched these sisters with their kids..on off chance i have even seen their parents in the video...they are not the type to do any of those horrendous things that Ruby has accused them off..Ruby is the only one in the bunch that had always seemed crazy to me (Sorry bonnie). She seemed off in her reactions ..in her beliefs...i was also one of them who commented on 8 passengers video on ruby a while back objecting to her parenting philosophy and treatment...she is the only one who seemed not right. having watched the griffith family women with their children i know they would never allow anyone in their care to be hurt like that (irresoective of their religious beliefs) And i have watched their videos for close to 7 yrs (jared and ellie) ...They are also the type of family who are not afraid to gather around and discuss problems..if they say they didnt know the extent of ruby's crimes..it means they really was cut off. I will not throw stones at these guys for not knowing..Attack the abusers leave their family alone

Looking back, my trauma was so EXAUSTING from thinking about everything over and over. I would be a zombie by day and up all night thinking and replaying, and going through all the emotions of grief. My husband had to keep me sane. I wanted to be strong for everyone. I was desperate to stop thinking about what happened in our family, but I couldn't. Fast forward 4 years later, I am living again. I promise you it will get better. Your whole family is doing this together and in some weird way, its comforting that we watch you all and you all can lean on each other. I used to wear a rubber band around my wrist. When I found myself thinking about it, I would snap that rubberband on my wrist (ouch!) and it really helped. So far, your doing incredibly well. Live life. Let God take care of the rest. Nothing but love! Love you Bonnie, Ellie, Julie, and Momma Griffith!!!
I don’t know if this is necessarily the case, but since you talked about the no sleepovers and how your kids essentially mourned that time with their cousins and knowing who was to…mainly “blame” (I use that word somewhat loosely). Makes me think to when you were sharing on the trip you most recently took and Cody got so mad that you weren’t planning on filming. Almost as if he (maybe subconsciously) was mad that through this situation that he didn’t want it to be something that you guys had to pay/suffer her consequences.
Don’t know if that makes sense. Just food for thought.
