Thanks for the great info! Had this problem and legitimately thought I was the only person that had this issue.
I just bought some of the new enduro batteries from GoPro. They last a lot longer in the cold

Some good recommendations, but not the solution for the Hero8. I had the same issue with the iPhone 6. Fix? Use non OEM batteries: Same lithium tech but different chip controlling them. I had my GoPro die yesterday in 20° weather. I just plugged it in and the OEM battery incrementally went from 0 to 65% in under five seconds, both batteries, both OEMs 65% when powered on warm but dead yesterday at 20°!

I have a Hero four and my battery dies in less that 1 minutes is there anything you can suggest?
Yeah, get a new camera. Even if you get new batteries they will be old and not suitable for cold weather.
-40 Canadian winters make you hate gopro
I just got the new enduro batteries and they actually preform much better in the cold
If a video file is corrupt, insert the SD card back into gopro, it will fix it. ( finish it)
It tries… but is generally unsuccessful…
Enduro battery is better than gopro's own battery (cold)
Yeah I still need to order some of those. Do you know if they can be charged in the previous dual charger?
