    Don Frye was one tough dude! Back in the days when the UFC was a tournament format and the fighters had to fight 2 or 3 fights in one night! And no weight classes!

    • @p4horror

      seattwa Yep, and Don Frye won two of those tournaments. Something Ken Shamrock was never able to do.

    • @p4horror
      @p4horror 9 лет назад +17

      ***** You are so full of BS. #1. You're sure if he fought a tournament he would win one or two. Shamrock was in (3) UFC tournaments and failed to win one. #2 He couldn't continue because he hurt himself fighting a completely easy fighter in Felix Mitchell. Remember it was medical. He was limping in defeat. He beat himself up. #3. Don Frye was much more dangerous in '96 then when they fought. He would have skinned Ken alive. #4 Yeah he took the super fight way out because he could not win a tournament if his life depended on it. Instead he would lay on his weaker opponents for the full 30 minutes instead of being the so-called dangerous submission guy. His win over Dan Severn was a fluke because Dan got careless. Of course, Dan beats him later on.
      And lets progress to his heart. He gives up under minimal duress fighting Fujita. He gets KO'd with ease by Sakuraba. He has always been overhyped. He was Tito's bitch for 3 fights. And now he's resorted to an all time low by fixing a loss to Kimbo. I hope this shakes off some of your delusion.
      You're just a ball-hanger for Ken Shamrock. Congratulations.

      p4horror Shamrock NEVER impressed me to be totally honest. He runs off at the mouth a lot, but that's about it. Look at his last fight with Kimbo Slice. Shamrock is way past his prime and needs to hang it up, before he really gets hurt.

He was telling me how he was learning Jiu Jitsu ( he had lost to Gracie a year or two before) , Really soft spoken. A couple of Old school nutty karate guys came up to us and started asking dumb questions about techniques which we both had no answers for .He was cordial throughout though it was no easy task These guys were kooks. .. They're still taking peds they're just different. There wasn't stringent testing and knowledge of them them so they were pretty basic back then bc new ones weren't needed to pass testing. There's literally zero difference just that today what's taken is different but the body responds the exact same
