If they have a great pirate story involving a female pirate, that's fine. But don't make it part of the Jack Sparrow IP. Let it be separate.
And make sure that the story line is credible and not the same woke pandering mess towards feminists. I want a female pirate that is a pirate because she’s good at it, or learned to be. Not a Mary sue or is good just because she’s a woman.
