I'm a 64 year old fan and supporter of Johnnys. He's got fans of all ages all over the world. Disney needs to realize that their movies are not just for kids. All ages enjoy and admire him and his work.
If kids want to go to see a Jack Sparrow movie without Johnny Depp starring, (the kids may or may not care so much), but the parents who will be paying for their childs movie ticket, standing on principle alone will not do it.
Johnny has proved himself to be innocent, and not guilty as AH's allegations.
Pirates of the Caribbean has certainly been one of those movies we will never forget, his character is unique and such a talent and made many people laugh cry at the same time and I do hope we get to see johnny back because it wouldn’t be the same without him.

No the alpaca thing was a joke. No one wants to have to look after a million alpacas. The alpacas were a joke because alpaca fur is expensive. If this is true (that he is coming back to POTC) then they probably apologised & negotiated a un passable salary. Yes Disney let him go but technically at the time they didn’t have any plans for another movie & certainly no plans in the works. They wanted to move on. It wasn’t so much that Disney lay’d him off that upset him but that no one from Disney talked to him or gave him any explanation of what was going on.

Johnny has to be that character. I won’t watch unless Johnny is in this movie the pirates. Johnny is so good playing this part .
This is one of the iconic roles that cannot and SHOULD not be recasted ever. It's right there with Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones or Arnold as the terminator, I really can't imagine these movies without them. I know life goes on, I know people age but I also think that some great things should be really ended once their main character won't be available to star in them. So end the franchise for good or go on with Johnny for at least one more chapter. There's no reboot/recast option here, not if Disney wants this to be more than a bomb.
