The amount of promotional work that Devon does is without equal. All arm wrestlers who make a living at this growing sport owe a huge debt of gratitude to this man. The years between 44 and 48 are difficult for males when it comes to your youthful exterior. For me (I just turned 47) it was all in the eyes. The skin around my eyes got much more loose, giving me a much older appearance. Combine that with Devon’s proclivity for looking haggard (unshaven, unkempt hair, baggy and dirty looking clothes) and you’ve got a recipe for appearing to age quite quickly.

Your envisioned match will not happen in November, as for this perfect match to happen both need to be "peak" (if there is such a thing). Also the meme of "If he stops x, then its over" became somehow distributed among this platform and peoples mind. Its an illusion. Devon stopped many people and then they beat him. Its also maybe a form of warfare/misdirection where the athlete could be mentally distracted by the stop by devon and then THINK during match the thing that he wants them to think and that is "Oh no, now its over". @@sethdaboss245

When we think about it, Devon went from being considered by most people as lower than top 5 after his defeat against Genadi or even when he faced Levan many haters thought he didn't even have his place in this division. But then as Genadi got injured for the re-match and ended up...against the n1 in the world (currently active) and...won. Now he is considered as the best armwrestler on the planet.
What's crazy too is that although he was considered very good, until recently he relied on his legendary endurance, king move, set up cheating and mind games to gain advantage and compense his lack of strength compared to many - especially super heavyweight elite armwrestlers. But now he is able to equal or surpass his opponent with sheer power (and technique), even against Ermes Oo

His first mistake was giving Devon this match at all. He should never have taken the match on short notice. It did not benefit anyone but EvW and Devon. This is a match that should have been built up in hype over many months. Allowing Ermes to fully prepare for Devon.

Titles are illusions and mere simplified representations. There will always be more possible matches at any point in time than are done in reality, so you will never know who is the best at any time point.. "Best" then becomes the "overall best" over a long series of conflicts and competitions. If you hold 4 titles and then lose them months later, what was the value of it, except maybe hype, marketing, money for few?

I wouldn't say he has a legit claim to being #1 at super heavy... he first needs to beat Genadi in a rematch plus he still needs to beat levan. Until that... ppl can always say he didn't beat those 2 at super heavy.

There are many different discussions. Devon is "#1" or superheavyweightchampion in the EvW league. I dont know why but many people assume that because he beat Ermes and Ermes beat Genadi in the past. Meanwhile Devon IS NOT formally #1 AW in the world, because to be #1 he needs to be KOTT. Still another discussion is who is the current best or #1 AW if you EXCLUDE all injured ones like Genadi/Levan. Many people conflate these discussions and dont state what their points is. @@durapoker
