I’m glad Canon finally fixed the 4K crop that caused all the autofocus issues in this replacement of the M50. 📸 I’m not too impressed with the image quality of the FHD 60fps for slow motion, but overall I was pleasantly surprised with this camera’s video performance! 🎥
nice video . . the low light images was surprisingly good. its has some rolling stutter .. very well shown in the video. The autofocus, colours, rolling shutter. the upgrade frm m50 is significant. love ur backyard 😊play ground
This looks great! Did you shoot this in HDR PQ 10bit mode and color grade it? And what were your settings? I shoot real estate with the R50 and Nisi 9mm f/2.8 RF lens and it's been an amazing combo. I shoot everything in 4K 30fps and slow it down in post to 80%, yields excellent results.
I’m not as familiar with all the Canon video settings cause I shoot primarily Sony. I don’t remember which video mode it was, but I didn’t change it out of the standard shooting profiles because I wanted to see what I could get straight out of camera. Color correction was minimal in post.
@@CamberFilmSchool Great! In my case I need a cam to record fast fingers in guitar. And I thought 60 fps or even 120 fps could capture and show the flux on image in this case. In your experience could you recommend a cam maintaining a bit of speed conserving all original audio? Thank you so much
No, it’s called a dolly zoom. You use a slider and either zoom out as you move closer or zoom in as you move further away while trying as best as possible to keep the subject framed the same throughout the maneuver.
That’s kind of an important part of the video. If you want really good looking footage, you need a good lens, not a good camera. You’ll get similar results with something like this 35mm lens ( amzn.to/488Nowp ). You just don’t have the benefit of a zoom.
That’s kind of the point. It’s going to show what the camera is actually capable of producing. People buy the kit lens and think the camera sucks when it’s really the lens. There are many prime lenses with lower aperture capabilities than that zoom lens that are very affordable and will give you similar results to what’s in this video.

I still like Sony better, but Canon did a good job improving their entry level camera video features with the R50.
Thank you for this detailed video!
You're welcome!
Beautiful shots! You have a beautiful family too, god bless you all and thanks for the video i will just pick the zve10 tho. Salut from Brazil.
Thx so much! 👍 And that’s a good choice to go with. 😉

i wanna buy this one camera early.
Glad I could help!
Hi! Nice video! Is it possible to record at 60 fps in real time conserving original audio?
Thanks
Yes, it still records original audio when shooting at 60 fps. Obviously it will sound different once you slow it in post though.

Sure, it’ll depend on your budget as well. Cause you’ll need a camera/lens/mic
Did you do the effect at 2:11 in post. What is it called? So cool!

Hi great video! Do you know which sd card i should buy for this camera?
This will do the trick: amzn.to/3PIEO1j
Please can you describe your picture profile and hdr pq mode settings .. and specially picture profile settings ..
No picture profiles in this video. Just standard settings out of the box.
canon r50, fuji xt200 or sony a6400 which is best for beginners for both photography and videography in 2024? plz suggest.
That’s a pretty loaded question, but I’d personally go with the Sony ZV-E10 (I know it’s not on your list).
@@CamberFilmSchool thanks a lot for you suggestion!!
👍
How long can you record video for?
It has a 60 minute recording limit.
@@CamberFilmSchool I was thinking about buying this camera. Is it possible to message you as I have a few questions?
@limitedmeansproductions6725 sure. Post your questions and I’ll answer.
@@CamberFilmSchool I have two canon lenses that came from a rebel t1. What adapter ring would I have to use to use them on the r50?
This one will do the trick: amzn.to/3w8WaNE
This video looks so American I love it

This lens is 4 times expensive than the canon r50 .....could u make a video with budget lens for r50.

This is so pointless, showcasing the budget begginers camera r50 footage with the most expensive canon zoom lens
