It’s a solid, minimal fragrance, it’s nothing special and there is a place for that. It’s an easy grab for the days where you just want to smell clean and inoffensive. I think Burberry did a good job positioning this one.
Agreed. Sometimes you want something and not think about it too much but still smell good for yourself and others around you without shocking them lol. This is subdued, and pleasant.
I have to stop watching your reviews, because every time I put a new fragrance on my list. This month I bought Invictus Victory because of your video, and next month I plan to buy Moschino Toy Boy and Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme, again, because of your reviews. Joking obviously, keep up the good work! I really enjoy your reviews because, to me, it seems like they are the most honest and accurate on the entire platform. As long as you are making good reviews, I will keep buying fragrances! XD
@@SWTmel I was kidding about not watching his videos anymore. I really bought invictus and will definitely buy toy boy and aqva. The way he describes some of these fragrances makes you wanna buy them and wear them, and not because he said are “women killers”, but because they are really good.

Perfectly reviewed. I agree with absolutely everything you’ve said about this one… it is an understated masculine, crisp/woodsy/clean type scent. Fragrance remains uniform throughout, the opening is not overly sharp (like Dior Homme 2022). This is one of my favorites to wear right now…
Great review burberry do some fairly reliable fragrances that are usually available cheap (totally the opposite to their clothes that are never available cheap) this one burberry hero is quite nice, Mr burberry indigo and burberry London also good ones
I love it! A go to for the office, I agree! An amazing dry down. Appealing and soothing… calming. Projection… passes. Longevity.. poor. The down side for me. Masculine and worth buying. Let me know what you think.
I put this on and 3 hours later my wife or kids cant smell it..puff, gone..Im athletic and don't perspire..so ya, longevity non existing..currently $ 140 in US :(
Much like you, I wasn't crazy about this when I sampled it. A truly inoffensive fragrance, but I didn't feel inspired. A good signature scent for the uninitiated. Not bad, but much more interesting options out there. This doesn't deserve some of the negative talk it gets, because, for what it's worth, it's actually a solid scent
@@sanelemelane Versace man eau fresh is more interesting in my opinion. Versace man has a larger note breakdown. Though a large note breakdown isn't always a good thing, the notes make it more enjoyable to smell.
This year I’ve been trying to branch out to wearing more masculine scents and I started off with the very sweet, confectionary/vanillin ones like Stronger with You Intensely and Ultra Male (LOVE that one), and now just bought Hero. At first I was like ‘no way I’d wear this it’s so typically masculine’ and now I just can’t get enough of it. I love the woodiness of it and just wore it to the office this morning and it gave me a nice ‘zing’ that was energizing.
As a man I have to say most male perfumes smell like female perfumes to me. I don't know why haha. But yeah to my nose it would be totally normal for a woman to wear male perfume.

Or maybe do it every once in a while or maybe whatever floats your boat. After you apply it then release your opinion, final thought then reveal?
I have fragrances that stand out, and I have fragrances that just make me smell clean and well groomed. And that's all I want sometimes. One of my favorite fragrances is "colonia essenza" from ADP, and it just smells like an Italian soap.
I have amber oud gold edition which is the clone, love it. But maybe the middle eastern twist i guess makes it smell a little different? Dont know what this smells like. That being said id love you to do some middle eastern reviews
So many fragrances I’ve tried have been absolute atom bombs with the top notes- they’re meant to hit you like a mac truck. But what is really difficult is finding something that can mellow out on your skin, and not turn into something entirely uninteresting, so many fragrances hit you with an explosion out of the gate then immediately dry down to a weak powdery skin scent, which doesn’t smell bad but also isn’t exotic, or sexy at all. Glad to hear from a perfumer that this isn’t so uncommon..
Your point about going for the drydown and not for the opening is perhaps best illustrated by pure fragrance oils; most of them don't work for most people in the opening and only show off when they have dried down well (such as oud oils).
I'm still enjoying all your video's! I agree with the little hate here and there on the robot. Some fragrances stay with you but for the wrong reasons 😄
The robot is a bit like the town bike. Looks alright on the outside even if it is a bit plasticky but as soon as you push the right buttons and make it squirt...
@Aaron Terence Hughes any way you could do a video breaking down your various house accords you use? I.e. the legend accord, clean skin accord, filth accord, ozone accord, etc
This is great for someone who isn't a fragrance enthusiast, who just wants one fragrance to wear and doesn't want to spend Chanel or Gucci prices on a bottle, covers most situations and doesn't smell like Dior Sauvage or Aventus. I tried it, and I like it but yeah, it isn't unique enough for me to purchase.
Nice vid Aaron! Hey I've been wanting to buy a woody fragrance. Would you recommend oud for greatness? Or nasomatto pardon? Or is there another you might recommend? Thanks you in advance. Cheers from Texas.
Hero Parfum is better but if you already have Dolce and Gabbana “The One” Parfum or Ferragamo Uomo Signature it’s basically very similar at the dry down. The opening and mid notes of Hero Parfum are very well done though.
Parfums de Marly’s Carlisle turns sulfuric on my skin, so in order to wear that scent, I ended up having to try an inspiration of it….and the clone works with my skin’s chemistry for some reason. I wish I could have used the original, but at least I can enjoy it this way.
I think it is the worst as it smells made by someone very inexperienced! The perfumers were experienced! I personally would of walked away from it! Its offensive as it could of been massively better! I would of made it high tech and inspired by Nasa/Ethan Musk or AI!
I noticed a faint seaweed note in the dry-down of this, the same one that makes Hollister Wave smell absolutely revolting to me. About as bad as a rotting moldy toilet, enough to ruin all smells for a while. It has to be a certain aromachemical that I'm personally hypersensitive to. Seaweed isn't a listed note here, so it was only added as background support. Yet it's clearly there to my nose!

Thanks Aaron for another fascinating, interesting review 👍 I understand that most designer fragrances aim to be inoffensive, more fresh fragrance compositions and appealing to the mass or the average customer, but I still wish that they would take more risks or tried to do something different than the rest. I just miss those times, where not every third fragrances was similar or they water down their original "compositions" and then try to sell you some kind of "intense" or "extreme" version of it, that sometimes seems even weaker. But I know I cannot expect too much artistry from companies that are mainly focused of making profit. But I'm glad that there are still some that are giving us something inspiring to smell 🙂
Personally I think its a bit generic and dull, but for what it is is quite good. As for the robot one well that's a bit like sugar water with bits added.
