I wear the EDT as more of an everyday office scent. It's mild and unique from the other scents my coworkers wear that lets me stand out but not offend.
I went to Macy’s to purchase a different cologne and ended up buying it. I have to say, smelling it right after first spritz I definitely said no but after the smell settled-It was a must for sure! No regret!
Personally, I got the pine needles at first burst. The EDP is a signature worthy fragrance and wonderfully masculine. I would wear it mostly in cooler temps and/or in the evening.
I purchased this at Dillard's today. I really was caught off guard by the nice woodsy/smoky smell with some sweetness. I also own the Hero EDT. I think each has a place in my collection and enjoy the new release quite a bit after wearing it today. I didn't notice any 'funk' after 6 hours. Thanks for sharing your views and as for the pine needles, I live in Florida and smell pine needles all the time, so I'm not really sad it wasn't very noticeable. Being in hot/humid weather, I notice my "fall/winter" scents also perform much better in a car with the air conditioner on or in a room about 65-70 degrees. - Now, time to watch your new Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum video! Thanks!!
Meh.. I recently sampled both from the ULTA cosmetic store and... the original edt was slightly better, partly because it's woody and fresh. The edp version came across too sweet for me, and I'm not fond of sweet fragrances.. I like the bottle and the darker amber hue but that's it. I choose the first one but I'm not rushing.
I mostly wear niche or quirky vintage stuff, but I just happened to smell this at Sephora and was pleasantly surprised. It’s definitely more interesting than the original.
Keep up exactly what you have been doing, you are the best. I truly value your opinion. I wear Niche & Designer. When I buy Niche I choose fragrances that smell unique, sophisticated and expensive. I try and avoid Designer fragrances that are main stream popular. If it’s on the counter in a night club restroom it can’t be part of my collection.
I am glad You did this comparison! I would like to buy a cedar fragrance Which one would you recommend? I know this is a very personal taste, but Which cedar fragrance do you really like?
I'm definitely interested in trying Burberry "Hero" (both the EDT and the EDP) because cedar is one of my favorite notes in perfumery. From Burberry, I've tried (and I own): "Touch" for Men, "London" for Men and "Mr. Burberry Indigo". I enjoy Burberry "Touch" for Men, but I don't like "London" for Men or "Mr. Burberry Indigo" anywhere near as much as I like "Touch" for Men.
I like the balance of both Niche and Designer offerings. There’s too many Designer only channels out there. I think the main thing is, people want your opinion on some designer stuff because they trust your opinion and breakdown. I feel like a 60/40 split is a good balance because Niche is more interesting and unique for sure.
I’m heading to Rio for Carnaval next month the was suggested the EDT. I like it a lot until I smelled the EDP and really liked it. I think it will go well with the large open crowds when getting sweaty in the streets, I think with everything going on less will stand out more. I’ll let you know.
I smelled both for my hubby. I normally like strong perfumes for myself as a lady. I like Burberry her, my way, black opium. For him though I liked the original Burberry more, it got me like a magnet. I loved it and I know I’ll enjoy smelling it on him. 🥰
I find that bottles develop after a few months and the scent becomes stronger. For some reason, I find this alot with Mancera fragrances. Have you tried Hero edp again since last September? Since you rarely come back to designer fragrances after the first impressions video, what you should do is edit the video so that you can give your opinion after wearing it for a few days. In the title, call it "First impression and conclusion after testing it a few times". I still think that a bottle has to sit for a few months to really judge it, though. As for future videos, I'd rather see more new designer releases covered.
I like fragrances from designer companies, from niche companies, and from independent/artisan companies, so therefore, I like to discover fragrances from any of them.
For me the edp has a little bubblegum sweetness that I didn't like. It was not a buy for me. The OG is a nice basic fresh out the shower scent that I wear at home if I'm not going out.
The original EDT is a lackluster to me, but someone from SNS suggests to mix it with My Burberry Black EDP. I tried and I like the mixing a lot. This EDP version sounds like another basic fragrance, not really interested.
I wore this one out of a ulta , and that body funk was dominant. Into the shower I went , once I got home. Not a fan , as of late. Maybe , the cold will help. Great review as always !
@@ThePerfumeGuy the funk was brutal, in the Los Angeles heat I live in. It made me uncomfortable. Kinda of a premature release imo , because it’s definitely not suited for summer. I will for sure revisit it in the cooler weather. But right now, I’m unsure about that release. Gonna call it Funkberry Hero for now 😂
Definitely more NIche reviews, I like designers but lately they're not doing anything for me, of course it's just my opinion. I really don't care about Burberry fragrances, the clothing is another matter, but I really prefer to spend my money on Niche. Thank you Sebastian!!!
As for your question near the end, I would say maintain a balance of niche and designer reviews, 60:40 respectively. You know what, 70:30, in my view, because I like your coverage of fragrances that aren't covered by other channels
I loved hero EDT smell, but the longevity is what made me not buy it. 120$ CAD for 50 ml while it lasted like 3 hours on my skin is unacceptable. if EDP lasts 8 hours ill highly consider it. EDT smelled great and masculine IMO.
@@Hugeboss01 well I applied it on my wrist one day to test it out , I really liked the smell of it. The projection was nice for approx. 2hours , then it turned into skin scent rapidly. After 3 hours , I had to stick my nose literally right up to my skin to smell it.
I prefer you do niche reviews as it seems like most of the designer houses come thru as “meh.” There are plenty of “low rent” reviewers out there these days that barely touch niche fragrances. No need for another one in my opinion, even though I highly value your opinion. I guess what I’m trying to say is if you reviewed designers, I’d probably never buy them. At least with those other reviewers with less developed noses, I might actually go out and purchase it lol. I know that sounds so snobby, but it’s the difference between a “Guy Fieri” and a “Jonathan Gold.”
I really want another Mr. Burberry. There was so much dislike from people but I loved the whole line except element as it is hard to get for a good price.
Hey Sebastian, could you also do a new line up video with Serge Lutens , possibly some new ones launched in last may be 7 yrs or so? nobody talks about the house anymore and you were one of the selective people who talked about long back and got me interested in trying some. Still underrated or not well appreciate i feel compared to how unique their scents are...

It is now available at Sephora in Canada. I don't own it (yet) but was alerted last night.
I wear the EDT as more of an everyday office scent. It's mild and unique from the other scents my coworkers wear that lets me stand out but not offend.
Hero EDP is fire!
the EDT is a great easy to wear mass pleasing light scent. Can’t wait to try this edp version .
This is a great fragrance. The sweetness of it compliments my skin. It gives off the tone that one is comfy, confident and secure.
I went to Macy’s to purchase a different cologne and ended up buying it. I have to say, smelling it right after first spritz I definitely said no but after the smell settled-It was a must for sure! No regret!

Spot on. EDP is like a sweet bubblegum at the top, which came shockingly to me seeing the notes. Ugly!
@@GlobalCitizenUK I think it’s better suited for women, oddly.

Ha yes! Musky time! ;)
I mostly wear niche or quirky vintage stuff, but I just happened to smell this at Sephora and was pleasantly surprised. It’s definitely more interesting than the original.
Just bought edp from Macy’s. Hope it’s good.
I was testing the EDP, and got heavy cinnamon/spice vibes. Cedar was present, also for me...

I gravitate to EDP for the last year as whole & I just picked this up 3 days ago as a alternative to Dior savague for my winter scent
Thank you, I'm very curious for Hero EDP. I like the sound of musky. Glad I stuck til the end.
Hope you enjoy it!

@@ThePerfumeGuy have you ever tried amber heath from burberry ?
I like to watch fragrance reviews about designer brands but it's very interesting for me also to know more about niche brands. Thanks!
I like both..I would Def say that the toilette is my favorite . The Parfum is okay but feel like the Parfum is more for the fall seasons

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT
Its decent got mine for 60 quid for 50ml, but overall smelt better but it will do.
Score
Burberry Hero EDT and Armani Code smells similar with hero having a bubblegum touch in the beginning.
Just bought EDP blind, I usually wear Bleu De Chanel or Sauvage in the fall and winter. Can’t wait to try it!
Do you like hero edp?
I love the EDP better. EDT smells good but nothing special. It’s a great fall scent. Get the EDP though!
One of my favorite colognes out right now. Ridiculously expensive right now on the other hand.

Yes they absolutely do
EDT, EDP, EDT Intense, Parfum, Le Parfum, Cologne etc. Designer mentality nowadays... 10x for the insight.
LOL!
Great first impressions video and I enjoyed it and can you do a full review when you test it out and have a blessed day
Hi! Could you review the classic one? Thank's
Hi. Burberry Touch is one the best smell.
I like fragrances from designer companies, from niche companies, and from independent/artisan companies, so therefore, I like to discover fragrances from any of them.
Love the EDP
I like the edp but I won’t buy it again, it’s not good if you want to impress people
Gotten more compliments with this scent that any other I have including sauvage which gets me quite a lot
Michael Malul smell way better than both of those
For me the edp has a little bubblegum sweetness that I didn't like. It was not a buy for me. The OG is a nice basic fresh out the shower scent that I wear at home if I'm not going out.
I can see this.
Although I still own a few Burberry perfumes from yesteryear, I haven’t tried any of the most recent ones.
EDT not of great interest. Like EDP which reminds me of one or more of Azzarro Most Wanted line. Parfum also of interest
I prefered the edt for the office. Rhe edp for some reason has more but too manly
I like your reviews o designer scents. Please keep doing them. Cliff from GA.

@@jobaaronarciaga4285 that it has a off putting body odor sweat smell. As explained in Sebastian’s first impression. I experienced the same “funk”.

The mint one was so good. I thin kit was called Indigo! :)
you got me into the EDP. Indigo is amazing! I wore that when the pandemic hit and people could smell it with masks on and would give me good comments.

Please do whatever makes you happy and helps the algorithm
Something about the edt makes the woods more pronounced
EDT wins a true fresh clean scent . EDP doesnt know what it wants to be
I see Hero EDP shares a lot of similar notes with Profumum Roma Arso
I like it, but the price point is too steep. They can't slap that price on it and pretend to stand toe to toe with Chanel, YSL or Dior.
