Installing a 90 amp Alternator and A Welded Fan

- This week we address some minor issues on my engine. While my motor is pulled out for the IRS conversion, and I'm still waiting for parts to arrive, I swap my original 11year old Bosch Alt for a Black 90AMP Empi alternator. With some of the additional electronics on my bus, (Oil Cooler fan, fuel pump, Diesel heater etc.) I think the 90 amp alt will be a worthwhile upgrade. And since my previous welded fan was bent by a misplaced flashlight, I upgrade the fan to a fully welded fan. This is an easy job that goes south quickly, like most VW jobs do, when using aftermarket parts.

Again, your level of detail is impeccable.
Fitted a 70 amp on mine .As dynamo went pear shape .A good upgrade as I added a CB .Plus a split charger.

Awesome video brother, time to double check the Bus and make sure we ready for BBB!
No double check. It’s all being built again. 🤦🏻♂️. Fresh start but worth it. 👍🏽
@@the_Wagen I meant I need to double check my bus ;)
Stay grounded! 👍👍

Awesome work man.
I also purchased one of Empi's black alternators. And just like yours it has a shit finish and scratches.
They must have designed them that way. 😅
Anyway thanks for sharing ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
Appreciate your support.
Si si 😂
