- The Gentle Barn is a wonderful organization that takes in and rehabilitates abused and abandoned animals, then brings in troubled kids and teens to share their healing. It all started when Ellie Laks' parents told her she could have as many animals as she liked when she grew up. Now, she has 170.

I went there and heard this speech live I really want to volunteer but I’m 11 so I have to wait a couple more years but as soon as I’m old enough I’m going to volunteer I love animals I’m vegan!! I was the same kind of kid saving animals!

I had that same experience. My beloved cat went missing and after 2 weeks of posting Lost Cat posters and crying every night my mom laughed and said “We took her for a little ride in the country” and I never saw her again. I remember her every time I see a dead kitten at the side of the road.

How wonderful! TN Gentle Barn is only 3.5 - 4 hours road trip from the TN Elephant Sanctuary in 2018. So fantastic to have so many wonderful enlightened people in one state! May they continue for a long time!

This is my ultimate dream. How did you even begin creating this dream. Where should I start to make this my reality? How did you go about buying land, make money to keep it going, find the animals, learn about farm animals?

That's my dreams. I do want to have a sanctuary farm of my own. 🥰 But plot of land in today's market is very expensive.

Not just play but I would love to work on your gentle farm aswell. I love animals. I also bought injured and sick animals home then rang the vet and they got the proper treatment and returned back to owners or the wild
Oh, wow!! Sounds amazing. I live in Canada, so hopefully I can go down to the States one day and kiss the cows and hug the sheep and cuddle the chickens

We as consumers have great power to end animal suffering by going plant based. That will end the misery of farming sentient Beings. My hubby and I are vegan for Life.
So I guess it’s a bird cats chickens cows dogs donkeys emus goats horses llamas pigs a peacock sheep and turkeys! But wait! What about rabbits and ducks!?!?!?!?!?!?!

+kaled Karim Hi Kaled. Thanks for the question. The reason the horses are wearing eye covers is to keep the dust out of their eyes when the wind blows. They also can keep horses calm when unfamiliar people are present.
Acually, they are called fly masks. they keep flys from laying eggs in the animals eyes.

Those are masks for flies. With that masks the flies dont go all over their face and they can see fine
