Could you check out this: forum.getodk.org/t/upload-form-media-in-odk-central/41515/4 You should see a 'Form Attachments' to click and upload your media/csv files?
Hi Janna. Huge fan here. You do very high-quality work. I have found it very useful. I was wondering if it is possible to change the default KoboCollect background web map from GoogleMaps to OpenStreetMaps? In the area of Borneo we are working with the Bing-based OpenStreetMaps have MUCH better resolution and are MUCH (by a decade in many cases) more up-to-date satellite imagery and pre-mapped features as compared to GoogleMaps. I cannot find any settings for such a change, but is there a known workaround?
Whoooa...sorry I didn't see this when it came in!!! For anyone else who finds this question and is wondering the same thing I'm going to answer this regardless of the fact that I'm 6 months late!! In your Collect App - go to 'Settings' (click the circle in the upper righthand corner, then press 'Settings'). Then click on 'Maps'. It will show you your 'Basemap' settings. Where it says Source: Google - click that. Choose OpenStreetMap. Please try this and hopefully this is helpful!!
Oh awesome that this is helpful! I think it's such a cool way to use Collect! Did you check out this link: humanitariandatasolutions.ac-page.com/geofencing-free-template If the email never came through, can you send an email to: support@humanitariandatasolutions.com and we can check the backend for you?
Just to note that I've also sent an email to support@humanitariandatasolutions.com myself to make sure the email is sending properly. Will try to sort this out for you today, sorry for any inconvenience in the delay!
@@HumanitarianDataSolutions Thanks a lot Janna, problem fixed, but I also need the xlsform template, because the code in the calculation column are still complex to me. Thanks again.
Amazing video. I did not ever think that such quality content is available for free. I have implemented this in my project successfully and getting the results what are taught in the video and what i needed. However I have small issue that all the calculations especially those in the repeat are getting stored in the submissions. Is there a way to avoid this.
So glad it was helpful! When you have a "calculation" question, that indeed gets stored in the final submission. What I would probably do is build in a little automated analysis step that removes those columns in your post-processing. Do you use something like power bi, or a programming language to analyse the data? That might be something to try just to remove the data you don't need in post processing?
@@HumanitarianDataSolutions Thanks for reply. Your solution seems logical as to handle this data in post processing instead of fighting with it in submission. However still looking for a way to exclude some form fields in submission that I want to show the user but don't want them to be included in actual submission. If these isn't a way to do that then it's OK as I am pretty new to kobo toolbox.
@@sjtrader1363 the other thing you could check out is just setting up a download style that excludes some of the columns. So, if you're downloading the data into Excel or something, when you go to the downloads tab, you'll have "advanced options" - you can "untick" any columns you don't want to include in your download. Once you've set it up, you can also save those download settings with a unique name so you can use the same settings in future downloads. That way, at least for your final dataset, those columns won't be present. Let me know what you think of that idea too.
Sorry i mean can i use complex shape with a lot multipart of polygon to create geofence, i want to geofencin the area of each single point of tree planting location
Thanks so much!! this video is great! :)

Okay, support has looked into it and hoped to have fixed the issue. Can you try to download it again at the link I provided in my comment below? ☺️👍

@@learnpowerbi hi! The XLSForm template is just called the "Litter Brand Inventory Questionnaire"... Were you able to see that in the download?

Hi there! Yes, you can create geofences with multiple polygons. Take a watch through the video and see how we do it there! Hope it helps!
