Ok, imagine if this is the case and then listen to it. Quention has a midiboard with bunch of jamie Foxx samples, and he is telling the story and jamming with the keyboard like a DJ in a kind of call and response way to create a kind of seventies soul soundscape.
I read somewhere that Mikey Rourke was supposed to be in Pulp Fiction, he said that when he found out that Travolta was going to be in it, he threw the script in the garbage.
Haha typical Rourke. He would have killed it as Butch, especially with his boxing at the time. Didn't he storm off the set of Death Proof for some reason? Probably because QT didn't let his dog appear in the movie 😂
@@AW-kr9fl To be fair, would you want to work the guy known for Saturday Night Fever and Look Who's Talking? Tarantino sees shit other people don't see.
@@seancarletonzero Did you grow up in the 70's? I get Tarantino's pick and why he wanted him because we grew up watching same stuff. Gen X, gets it, even if others don't.
1:14 is he saying that ironically because Marcelluce Wallace sees Butch at the stop light?! I'm guessing he meant: he doesn't want that to be the ONLY interaction between the characters... so it's like he's making fun of that, where in Pulp Fiction they actually DO know each other and have personal beef with one another.
Putting Harvey Kartel in as The Cleaner was beautiful. Tells Travolta to shut the f*** up and start cleaning. I saw some bad Travolta parts but he was perfect in Pulp.
Quentin has said he had a second mom when he was a kid and she was black and her son was his best friend. The character Samuel L. Jackson plays in “True Romance” is named after him and the whole idea for the “Sicilian” scene comes from his black friend telling him about the Moores conquering Sicily. Not saying it excuses how ridiculous he sounds but it’s probably why he doesn’t think it’s weird for him to talk like he’s black

Stopped after 2:21. I can’t stand the “right, yeah, wow.” Someone more talented than me, please just upload this deleting Jamie Foxx. Was this his first ever interview!?!?
Oh, shit. This is Jamie Fox? I had no idea. Friggn' love that dude. Django rules. And "I Might Need Security" is one of the top five standup specials ever. But, jeez louise, bro, enough with the yimmer yammering.
What is it about certain white guys that, when there talking to a black guy, they have to have this jiveish accent? Is that as annoying to black ppl as it is to me? I mean I love Quentins movies but he was definitely channeling his inner jive throughout this conversation

Pulp Fiction is up there with Do the Right Thing, Goodfellas and Taxi Driver. But I enjoyed Kill bill Vol 2 as well. The weakest film offering he delivered had to be Death Proof. But I didn’t hate it.
