As Nyx uses the ring to fight for the capital at a larger scale, the price he pays was obviously larger, which is his life. It's an amazing twist in the story from what we all assumed.. it also shows Ignis loyalty to Noctis and that line 'a small sacrifice for the greater cause' just hits home so much harder.

Still, had I been Ignis, I woulda been "Okay Calligo, I'll get you the ring and even help you put it on" with an evil grin.
We didn't know Luna to give a loose strand of eff, but we knew Iggy, he was there the whole game up until they got separated from Noct, so we will care more there. Luna is only seen through cut scenes and there wasn't any real chemistry shown between her and Noct, not even in the Anime and that movie.
I dunno, I didn't get the impression Luna had any more role than to further the plot and tick the "heroine dies" box. The cut scenes they added since day one actually made her feel even more one-dimensional and naive in her "devotion" to wanting to live her life out with him. I agree though, KG at least made her feel more devoted to helping the human race than just to meet Noct. I mean, they gave the impression she was eager to see Noct again without having to express it in such ridiculous terms. The Luna in KG at least feels consistent as a character... in the game itself, it's like they thought "Gee we better put a scene of her declaring her undying love for him in case people don't understand subtext". I think having the book sending messages was enough to get the impression they might have had a crush on each other and want to rekindle their old friendship into a relationship at some point. Then, after all that, she was wasted. At least Aeris was one of the party for a period of time, so you grew attached to her naturally through the story.
And ignis seems to have lost his sight. Nobody is worthy of the ring but the true king. If someone wears it they pay a price, Ignis looses his sight, ravus lost his arm and Nyx lost his life in exchange for a whole night with the ring on.

Ignis' courage and promise to protect Noctis is admirable, while the tragedy with Ravus and his little sister is sad to see. Interesting that some individuals find Ardyn more intriguing (and weirdly attractive to some) despite his sadistic and diabolical comportment to Ignis, Noctis and the world of Eos.

I'm liking the DLCs so far but all of this should've been in the main game. There's so much emotion in these episodes, it adds another level of depth to the supporting characters and really shows their motivation and commitment to protecting their king. Not to mention the gameplay is awesome and the music is great! If the DLC was just part of the main game it would've been a solid 8.5-9

Adam Croasdell turned up the British for this DLC, lol. I can't even mock him because he IS English, XD! I feel very fortunate that unlike any of the other dubs, English is the only one that got to draw from other countries. The American and British voice acting just works so well. I couldn't imagine Ignis not being British and it's perfect for Luna and Ardyn too, adds a wonderful refinement to them. We got the luck of the draw on this game :)

Losing an arm or a leg it's not a big deal. They can fix it with robot arm or robot leg. But you can't fix both eyes. It's kinda big deal you know.
