I think this scene is so pivitol. When Jiang Yubin tells Ruyi that she only has 3-4 months to live, you can see it in her face that she realizes this is it. If she's gonna make her move and expose all that's been happening it HAS to be right now. No more waiting, no more playing nice, no more dropped investigations. She resolves herself that she will use the rest of her life to clear not only herself but all who have been wrongly instigated and implicated by Wei Yanwan. When she said "That's enough" you really feel the determination she has to see this through all the way to the end come hell or high water. Such a powerful scene.
I love how the consorts united and help Ruyi. They definitely loved her.
Ruyi may not have been loved by the emperor but her servants loved her like no other and would have moved Heaven and Earth to see her happy and healthy. Poor Jiang Yubin even said he would cure her no matter what, he truly cared for her, not just because his wife was her former servant. This scene breaks my heart every time.
yeah, she was one of the few mistresses who treated her servants with kindness and actually cared for them, rather than viewing them as someone to take care of them or using them as a scapegoat for their misdeeds

@@irenewuy4166 I feel like concubine Hu was too naive and trusting towards imperial noble consort ling, and if she was a bit smarter, than all this wouldnt have had happened. At the very end, I think she loved him and she didnt want to kill him but then got guilted into it. Its such a pity though because if Yongqi had lived and became Emperor, concubine hu could've been a consort or a noble consort in his harem. I feel like their love wouldve survived the plotting and planning of the imperial palace (if wei yanwan was dead and ruyi and hailan were empress dowagers)
