She's one of the few people in the harem who doesn't worry nor care about her status. She basically was all "You come to me to talk, I talk. Then you get angry anyways. Kiss off. Find someone else to flatter you." I think he needed to hear that more often, honestly. xD

I love Concubine Rong she's very straightforward
Hailan will always be my best girl, but Xiangjian is definitely in my top 3 characters now. Ever since Day 1 in the palace, she refused to put up with Qianlong's shit. Even now, when he's all, "Can't you act more like a concubine? I love you and all but that doesn't mean you can do and say whatever you want in front of me" she's like "bitch I never wanted to be yours in the first place, idgaf about you." And I love how insightful she is into Ruyi's heartache - Ruyi never said it in so many words, but Xiangjian eventually figured out that Qianlong was Ruyi's love interest in youth, and that he was no longer the man she loved back then. During Ruyi's funeral, she even says, "we shouldn't be sad. The Empress can now meet the man she loved in her youth," acknowledging that the Hongli Ruyi loved is long dead.
Its funny he never thinks about how ruyi feels when he keeps falling for women. But how he doesnt like her possibly falling for anyone. Smh pathetic

If the Empress, who was his cherished lover, being treated like this after a long time, than what makes he think that it wont be the same with Xiangjian. He said he love her but he probably will treated her like how she treated the empress now, with cold shoulder.

Rong wasn’t jealous at all, she is fiercely loyal to Ruyi, she basically was saying ask her yourself, she doesn’t love the Emperor she was forced to be with him, she doesn’t pander to him.

not into astrology, but agree Rong is a strong and good person. She loved her fiance and made herself infertile because she didn't want to have kids with someone she didn't love, nor did she want her kids to become pawns. Her character is one of the few with humanity and decency in that horrible time.
