I *believe* that you could technically place this far enough out that it would be a non-issue. I hadn't considered this before purchasing it and now that I've got the part I'm strongly contemplating where the best place to put it might be.
How much light does one target light produce? I have my tonearm unlocked so it swings 90 degrees (similar to your tonearm) is all and am debating one of these mods and am hoping one light should let me see my grooves from having my tonearm. This may sound odd, but could I run two target lights (one either side of the platter) off your breakout board?
Is there a way to toggle the light on or off? Like, if I’m cutting outside on a sunny day, I wouldn’t necessarily need the light on. And maybe like Dan said below, a True “pop up” would be nice.
