Love The Breakup! So funny, then so painful, so true. I ❤️ the courtyard effect, thank you!
@Lo Lee Great movie! The “Tone Rangers!” Lol
Courtyard is great for English style imo.
I love the wide side walk with small steps
Me too! We may be installing something like that at my dads house next week.
I like all of the breakup effects, we have a nice sized front yard but no porch, I like the idea of having something that seems to be a porch where people could sit and not feel like they're sitting in the front yard. I love the lighting effect on the first one too, I think I'd pull these ideas together in some way to improve the curb appeal and to have a place to sit that's like a porch.
I love the fence with the lighted house numbers - a great idea!! Thanks!!!
Glad you liked it!
I just love the very large walkway up to the door.
Me too! Such a difference
Bobby I loved the long short wall. great idea.
Thank you. I thought this was really neat too.👍🏼 Thank you for the comment!
The very last example was fascinating.
Loved the idea of a larger front walkway. Nevertheless all were awesome.
Nicely done!!
Thank you Todd. It is hard to choose!
dude awesome 311 shirt! I've been to 100 311 shows! woooooooo
I love them. Been to 5 or 6
@@BobbyKDesigns hell yea!!! love that you rep the shirt in your video! That is awesome to see randomly!
Thanks for the great ideas. I loved the video.
Thank you so much!!!❤️❤️❤️
Bobby, can you do a little short segment, “What Would Bobby Do?” And then take a picture from one of your subscribers and show your idea of how you would landscape their house for a low, mid, and high budget? If you do, pick my house pic! I’ll send it to you!
Hi Ruby! That’s exactly the contest I’m running now!!! 🤜🏻 make sure you enter
It’s called “Bobby Help me Now”
Link in video called “DIY Space under $500”
Sorry I didn’t know about it. Will check it out!
First of the walkway effects I love how they can take a totally flat yard and give it some height with the wall and with all the rock and so worth keeps it maintenance free, less work to take care of
I agree! Adds so much interest!
Thank you for doing the "ranch" style houses. I have not seen you do what I call the "L" driveway house. Where the driveway makes a sweeping 90-degree bend with the garage door right next to the main front door. I am sure you have these in Saint Louis.
I like the walkway effect. I like all of the photos/homes you showed for that effect. I think the mixed materials is why I enjoyed those so much. All of the ideas/photos shared are beautiful 🤩
Awesome, thank you!
Love the flattening effect. I do have a small hill from the sidewalk.
My first house was just like that. It’s a cool way to create useable space.
Thank you.
You bet!
Love this video for ranch houses, we soon will be owners of a ranch in Webster Grove( closing in September ) , we love the curb appeal of houses around the area but ours has none. I have some road block for planning my landscaping so now I’m doing my research and your channel is a perfect tool . What caught my attention was a review of a client in Houzz ,mentioning she worked with you long distance . And that is our 1st issue , we live in Florida & this will be our 2nd ( hopefully soon our 1st and only) so planning has to our garden (plants) depend on us not being there full time . I’ll give you a call in September, meanwhile I’ll watch your videos.
@Sandra Robert That’s so exciting to hear! I would absolutely love to help you in the cool part is I live in Saint Louis,MO so I know Webster Groves very well. When you get in town, give me a call and we can set up a consultation.
At first, my favorite was the small lit wall that ran alongside the walkway effect but then I saw the Stop Effect and woah! It's almost like a "so wrong but oh so right" kind of style (in the best way, if that makes sense lol). Totally works!
@Dion Griffin that’s a great way to describe it! Exactly!
Just subscribed, excellent suggestions for ranch restorations. Thanks for the info and great photos.
So glad to have you!!! Thank you!❤️
Love the wide walkway with lower steps. Ours has a big step and a smaller one.
Our grandson has CP and can't get his walker up the first step. Would love to have a new design !!!❣
That’s so nice that he has you to take care of him. God bless!❤️
The first three houses you showed, ours is kind of like the third one. We do have a rhododendron that i in front and it is really large. The rest if a flat plain yard.
I liked the 6:30 house, because it has a wider walkway, if you lose your balance, there is something to hold on to. As a wheelchair user and most of my friends are older, many who have balance issue, I like the wider path. For more fit wheelchair users who can flip a little wheely, they could manage to get up to the next level.
Do you do designs for those who are out of state? When we are ready for a design, would you be able to design a yard based on disability needs? And what would it cost to have it done. You have so many beautiful ideas.
@C Bryce I love the wide walkway effect as well. Absolutely I design out of state. I’m opening up my waitlist tomorrow to take on new clients but if now isn’t the right time stay tuned and get in the next waitlist when I open it up.🤜🏻
Nice 311 shirt!
You have great taste in music!! 311 rocks !! Enjoy your videos too!
Appreciate it! Seen them a few times! Great show!
I have a 100% ranch style with a cool porch area but.... A 1970's privacy garden off of the master suite. I'll be using that break up effect to revamp the privacy garden in the front of the house! Love these ideas!
Thank you so much for the comment! I love mid-century modern ranch homes. Probably my favorite!
Definitely like the idea of wider walkways and choices for the elevation effect. Need both in our yard.
Such a great combo! 💪
Bobby, I thank you for showing this awesome ideas, you are simply tha best!!!
@KINGS LANDSCAPING /ALMA. I could get used to comments like this! lol! Thank you and I appreciate you watching!!!
Hi. I like all of them. We”re redoing our front entry. Modern style. We’re using wall blocks to create beds, widening the walkways, and adding a central circle hub, 18’ wide with a low fountain in the center.
Love what I’m hearing! Sounds amazing!!! Make sure to enter the “Bobby help me now contest” under the video “DIY Space Under $500”
Love these ideas but we can only fence in from sides of house, to the back...I wish!! 🤔☹️❤️ I love the yard you suggested for "City" houses ❤️
Open concept effect for my personal taste. That would then tie in the open concept of the interior which I think would bring a great vibe with going outside to inside.
@MrSadlerd3 I like that one as well. They are all good. Tough to choose
I like the wide/short landing steps. We're planing a wide 3 step entrance to our front deck. These might be a good choice to come straight off the front then angle around the corner towards driveway towards left, as hill starts downward. Shorter steps are appealing as we get older too. Also adds a patio feel to stay off the grass. Thanks for the ideas.
You bet! I thought these effects were so powerful for transforming a home.👍🏼
Great videos. Can you do bi-level or split levels next!!!! I'm doing my bi-level this summer 😉
You got it! I live in one so I have plenty of ideas there. Thank you for the suggestion!
@@BobbyKDesigns no problem 😊 😉
I was digging the very.last one. It's just super simple and clean... almost like a minimalistic Art Piece.
Thank you! Cheers!
I like the last one the best. The visual weight and interest of the right side of the house is counterbalanced by the gravel in the left. And the blue gravel matches the blue trim on the right side perfectly. And then the tall lines of the trees in either side also balance.
Perfect visual composition. Almost looks like an invented scene in a painting by an artist.
@Sulan Dun so eloquently described! Thank you
Bobby. Thank you for sharing your ideas. Your ideas help me think out of the box and create something new. My favorite is the last view in the elevation set. Its kind of a combo with the walkway effect. I especially love the plantings and the curving of the stones which hug the walkway. Awesome.
You are so welcome! Thank you for the comment!!!
I love the courtyard "break up" effect. My house is pretty boring on the outside and I think this would add some interest. I intend to work on my front with a cottage courtyard next year. I'll let you know how it goes.
@Cindy Stewart. That's a good one! I like them all...sometimes it's cool to apply a few of these effects if it's the right house.
I like the one with the wide walkway.
That seems to be a favorite!!
Love, love, love all the great ideas!! Open concept effect, with the x-style wood fence sections and pillars totally caught my eye. We own a ranch style home and the front yard needs some hardscape. Super, duper great ideas Bobby - thanks!!
You are so welcome!
I like the break-up effect.... "Tank-n-tank-n-tank tank tank -- MOVE YOURSELF. You always live your life--never thinking of the futuuuuure!"
Lol! Hilarious scene
I have a "city house" issue with my front yard. Your ideas are a great help for dealing with it. Thanks!
My pleasure! 👍🏼
Great example thank you for new ideas
You’re welcome! This was a subscriber suggestion from a few weeks ago. You guys always have the best ideas!
Lived in a ranch style home for over 20 years. Loved the retaining wall with the lighting, this is in a cul-de-sac prettying nice area, But our neighbor told us when we first moved in we couldn’t have any bushes or trees close to the street in front of the houses , no sidewalks. Is this legal?
I guess that depends on the HOA or municipality but I’ve designed plenty of homes where what she said isn’t correct. I’d check it out.
Can I send you some pictures of my home and you give me some ideas for my front yard? If so what is your rate for this?
Hey Bobby great video! Just checking in. I think I'm still on the design wait list?
@Tracey Hays Hey there! Thank you! Mark your calendar!!! Tomorrow, July 27th at 11am CST I am unlocking the website and opening up 10 spots so make sure you grab one. I think there are close to 250 people on the waitlist now. :). Can't wait to see what you have for me!
