Started going out in 95 remember seeing my English teacher at a techno club and from then I had 15 year stint of raves clubs festivals wherever we could go.saw it go from the awesome vibes through to cocaine and ketamine vibes which was still kinda fun but just nothing like the pure blised out vibes when it was all about E's and acid

Actually if you were there....no one gave a fuck what anyone did. The priority wasn't trying to impress others. It was just to have an amazing time. Very refreshing.
I know it looks crazy when your straight. But being a raver on Es was an experience i will never forget. Brilliant memories with my best mates. The laughs we had and to experience the rave scene at its height and survive it i will remember till the day i die.🙏

I'm a 90s youth and even though I was never into techno music, having been mostly into metal first and then strongly devoted to alternative/indie/punk rock music, even such rave scenes from the 90s bring back nostalgic feelings in me just purely for the time it stood for and the time it took place, if that makes sense. As a kid in the 80s growing up with Europe, Bon Jovi, Guns 'n Roses and a juvenile/young adult in the 90s, I feel blessed and lucky to have experienced this time of realness, simplicity and innocence.
Just read your message, that's interesting cos I was a thrasher into tallica and Megadeath, testament all those and then the rave scene kicked off and a lot of us just took to it cos it was exciting..and the pills of course. But I went dark side with the jungle hardcore..that was my bag. I wish 93 lasted forever .

Glad to live these days, I would not have changed a thing. Noticed how the crowd is not facing the DJ and purely focusing on the music, lost in it totally, unlike today, where crowds are more focused on the fame of a DJ or the stupid arm's waving constantly in the air DJ's.
That's partly with the layout of clubs & the emergence of festivals with people going to see certain 'acts'. In clubs some people were well impressed by the music & genuinely wanted to know who was DJ'ing. Then it got worse with mobile phones.

Well it was!..... Early 2000's , saffrole oil got busted & suddenly E's weren't real E's anymore, they were 'piperazines' which wasn't MDMA.... speed was ok, but grotty, without the same feeling.... then came COVID & a few stabbings here & there shutting decent places or severely restricting them.

Well it was!..... Early 2000's , saffrole oil got busted & suddenly E's weren't real E's anymore, they were 'piperazines' which wasn't MDMA.... speed was ok, but grotty, without the same feeling.... then came COVID & a few stabbings here & there shutting decent places or severely restricting them.
