today I finished watching of lost for the tenth time in my life.. simply, the best serial of all times. nothing can beat this amazing..
The best part for me? The constant. lost for ever!! i will be watching it even when i be 50 year old!
It’s sad that this show is so picky about its audience, definitely not for the average ppl, and yes.. nothing even can come close to LOST
Too much TV spoon feeds its audience and if a show doesn't do that and people have to think for themselves they tend to switch off.
I just watched “the constant” episode again today lol sooo good!
Season 1-4 were great, 5 and 6 were meh. i just rewatched it for the second time, first being when it aired. I was amazed that I could recall exact scenes and phrases from the early seasons, but some of the later seasons it was like I was watching it for the first time. I guess it goes to show how good and impactful the first few seasons were. S6 was rushed and bad writing (had a few good moments). S5 was not as engaging as the earlier ones.
I can't stand Kate. I am struggling to finish the final season. I don't like the actress (bland expressions in my opinion, can only move her eyes to the side for when she's happy, angry, sad, depressed) as well as the character. I don't want to torture myself any further.
Lock's smile with the orange inside his mouth beats every scary scene in all the horror movies 😂
The reason why Locke does that orange smile is because the producers of the show are trying to foreshadow something, in this case, death. In the God Father, when ever you see an orange, death looms near basically.
Exactly.
Am I the only person who found that orange smile actually nice? He just tried to cheer Kate up and I think that’s a really friendly move.
I don't think it's scary, it's just weird... And disturbing 😂😂
Exactly!
It’s just what Desmond always said i’ll see you in another life
And they all did ❤️❤️
Perfect!
Omg that is so clever! I never thought about it that way!
The writing on Nadia's pic also translated to "If not in this life, I'll see you in the next one"...or something similar.
Desmond was the heart of the show
Jack was the brain of the show
Locke was the soul of the show
Hurley was the stomach of the show
@@beluga101 and Sawyer was the humor of the show😂
I just finished a rewatch. I watched the finale live with friends and had mixed feeling about the ending back in 2009 or something . When I rewatched the show alone on Hulu and got to think about it more everything made more sense. There are moments in season 6 when they mention the importance of being together and the need to “let go” kinda to prepare you for the end. All of them needed to let go. The ending is perfect. I cried when Charlie and Clarie saw each other. t was really sweet. The characters are so well written and acted they seemed real. It’s an amazing show. And they did answer a lot of questions in the final season. And one thing I think makes most people come back to the show is the mystery and trying to figure it out. But the main reason is that you love those characters. The show is called Lost because the characters are lost and need each other. ( one of the producers said this). So it makes sense at the end they are together. It’s a crazy island 🏝 show but also a show about needing people. What better time to watch Lost now when we are all stuck at home wanting to be around the people who we love.
My favorite is Hugo. I would love a spin off with Hugo.
Why did they have to waste so much time with the flash sideways if it had no effect on the plot? I appreciate it was emotional for some people but nothing that was established before the final episode meant anything to the characters. It was just lazy writing and filler.
Both Jin and Sun were Candidates. Jacob spoke and marked both as candidates when he touched both of their arms at their wedding as a friendly gesture. The name Kwon refers to their last names.
I’m sure Jacob intended that if Kwon was the winning candidate, Jin and sun would be allowed to do the job together.
Or at least one would be protector but the other would still be there as their partner, and the protector could extend the non-protectors life like Richard.
So I say it wasn’t sun or Jin,
it was either or both.
It was one or the other. This has been discussed at length and is pretty self-evident based on the games you need to play to even attempt to make sense of the alternatives.
I would love a spin-off that explores the origins of the island that maybe ends with the woman that took Jacob and his brother from their mother, showing how she ended up being the guardian.
I think someone removed the cork again because everything is crumbling around us in 2020!
😅🤣🤣🤣🤣😅🤦🏽♂️
Lol thats what my husband said. 🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣 brilliant
Hang on because it gets worst in 2022
@@everythingbobbywolfe hahaha exactly! Cork that shit
i just started a re watch the other night after all these years...i don't know why people hated the ending, i don't know why people had such a hard time understanding christians explanation about time...i still cry every time i think about vincent being there with jack at the end, even though i haven't seen it since it aired...you explained it perfectly...it was one of the best shows ever
Could not agree more! Thanks for watching my video
@@SteelCityFandom nice explanation...... please convey our message (From India) to makers of Lost.....a new series should be made on the Island and it's mysteries
People have a problem with it because people like a linear story. Even a linear story that goes forward and backwards. Sometimes even sideways.
But not all at once. They destroyed the audience's need to care about the characters
Perfect finale!
Aww, Vincent ❤
I just finished watching the series for the second time. Binging it helps versus watching it weekly like I had originally did. I wanted to make sure I fully understood the series as I still had questions before the rewatch. This video confirmed that I understood more the second time around. Thanks for posting.
Personally I think lost had a great ending. The problem is too many people didn’t pay attention the entire time and missed a lot. Almost everything was explained in the show.
I think the finale was really good and was very easy to follow. Not sure why so many ppl were confused
I love the ending. It was greatly misunderstood
Almost everything was explained? Not even close. Unless you accept magic as an explanation.
@@redmed10 ...its a tv show, not real life
@@redmed10 you had time travel and immortal people... not to mention a smoke monster... magic is def a thing in the show...
That was a great review of the series. I just finished watching the entire thing for the second time and ended up just as confused as I was ten years ago. Thanks man, good job.
Thank you
Best explaination ever!!! I love this story and series as a whole. Ending and all. Thanks for the great video and amazing insight you give to the more complex details of the series
Thank you so much! That was very nice of you I really appreciate the positive feedback
Thank you so much for this. I already knew about 75% of this (I’m a super fan) but this Is the single greatest thing I have ever come across to help me explain the series to people who don’t understand it, like my elderly mother. She loved the show but she was confused and this is the greatest way to explain it to her. Thank you so much. Sincerely.
Wow thanks man! I really appreciate it and I am so glad this helped you and your mom. Take care
i've got my mom watching it with me right now and she's also having a hard time following but i told her to just enjoy the journey!
I'm glad to come across this....so it is a BS/stupid show...in my opinion. I have to stop here at the end of season 3. glad to find this video explaining the Magic/imagination, the Crystal Skull type ending or explanation to this show.
We just finished it for the first time. My mom started this week and is already on season 4. So this will definitely help her understand it at the end. Because it cleared up something’s for me as well
I just watch for first time! I got addicted to it hard I finished the entire series in 3 weeks! I got the ending that they did not die from the plane crash. But I was trying to put my head around Jack having a son and everybody else's characters but how you explained it and I spent 2 days even writing notes to myself and you explained it perfectly. We forget that when we die or a past life it moves without time and you can't put a time on it! And understanding that Jack did not have a son but it could have been what may be would have been. And that they had such a deep connection all of them because of the plane crash and what they did to save humanity together all of them. Which is something I've always believed when we pass away our soul make connections are the people we have the deepest connections with that big things happen in our lives that change our lives and that is what happened with all of them on the island! I cried when Jack realized he was dead and then him and lock Shook hands and hugged each other it got me. But I cried often throughout the Series!
I agree with your analysis. The only thing i’d like to go deeper on is the idea that the island is an axis mundi.
The show makes it very clear in the later seasons that’s what we are looking at. Hope this helps others!
Mmm so this means that Vincent is still alive😍
I just finished my 2nd viewing...really enjoyed your video. Few things I was confused about you helped me understand. Great job
Thank you!
Lost is my all time favorite show, I love that you do have to rewatch it to understand more. These videos help a lot. I do highly recommend to rewatch it, it really makes you thinks and it does things that most shows don’t do.
Even if the ending still confuses you... watch it for Sawyer ahah and Mr. Eko, Bernard and Rose, Desmond all the good characters 😂😂
Totally agree! Thanks for the comment
I've watched the show at least 3 times in its entirety, as a kid around 11 as a pure soul, again at 20 when I was more "spiritual" and looking for amswers, and again at 25 after I found Jesus! And it never ceases to amaze me how many connections to the bible it has . Even as a kid , the very thought of Faith vs science captivated my mind without ever knowing what real Faith was. This show fundamentally changed my view point in reality . I haven't ever gotten into a tv show like I have with lost! I'm glad to see it's still getting some love
A ton of stuff over the world has many connections to the bible as it's the source of most popular religions nowadays except far east religions (Hinduism, Buddhism etc.).
The struggle between religion and science has gone on for many centuries and thankfully, science is winning.
1984, science never will win. Science is simply a more in depth explanation of how perfect God made everything! I love science , but I detest the misuse of it on a mainstreAm scale . Science made your gmo foods, science made your chemo therapy , science made your addictive internet use. If there is no money to be made, science dictates i n a litany of circumstances how corrupt a human can be when tempted by the devil (money, power , influence fear of ramifications) etc. Soon you're gonna be locked in a tiny room with your governmental scientist overlords listening to your every word just like Mr Orwell predicated. Only a soulless demon would wish for such an existence. Seeing how perfect everything works from nature to physics , to syncroni zations,ETC it is illogical to think that it was all derived from nothing by accident for no reason. Thankfully with corona , God is coming back into peoples lives!
@@SavingSoulsMinistries Science is winning. Check humanity's history, it goes from everyone being super religious and no one caring for science, to the present day where the number and degree of religious people is at a record low whilst science is more prevalent than ever.
Science has nothing to do with gods, it can stand on its own regardless of personal religions and beliefs, it's the only constant truth, hence why it's so powerful.
Science is a tool, it can be used in various ways, ethical or unethical. Humans have directly influenced the genetic makeup of plants to increase their value as a crop since at least 12000 years ago and that has been extremely beneficial for them. Chemotherapy has also helped against cancer and has been beneficial to humanity. Science created the internet, addictive internet use is not due to science, it's due to human behaviour.
Humans can be ethical or unethical regardless of science and religion, that is proven in countless examples in history.
There are no indications, let alone proof, of a devil or any kind of supernatural being.
Your prediction about being locked in a tiny room etc. is baseless.
Physics is physics, it's neither perfect nor flawed, it just is. Not everything is working perfectly, there are countless things going wrong in humanity like countless people suffering unjustly or more macroscopically, there's confirmed life only on Earth which means there are vast parts of space completely void of life.
Science does not claim all was derived from nothing.
It's illogical to claim with certainly both that the universe was created by design and without design. There is no proof for either so claiming it with certainly is illogical. However, in the absence of evidence or indications, the default position is that there probably was no design. The burden of proof lies on the one making the claim, not the opposite (the other to refute the claim).
Covid has nothing to do with any gods and no religion is noticeably increasing its popularity. If anything, pandemics have historically shown to harm religions as the lies and manipulations are exposed e.g. plague of Justinian, Black Death.
I have a question for you ...
Lost had nothing to do with religion. It was more about spirituality and science.
I am honestly so surprised how many people genuinely don't understand this show. While I pick up on things each time I rewatch it, the main things you covered were so simple and spoon fed to the audience and people still didn't get it.
Dude, you got it down! Great explanations.
Just finished watching it for the 3rd time as well, one of my fav shows. I'm so glad u explained it like this. I alwayz kinda knew the last episode was way off in the future. I honestly wanted to see so much more from the show, definitely more about the island. Lost kept me wanting more no wonder I kept watching it over and over again. No matter what anyone says I LOVE Lost.
Omg I love what you pointed out about Mr Eko! .. him forgiving himself. (I know I ball my eyes out every time I watch him say his speech.)
Thanks! Echo is a great character and I loved what he added to the show
Eko's face!! When he sees they have been pushing the button at the hatch...... Priceless he was like wtf!
And when he died
We got a glimpse of the flash sideways (we se him with his brother when young when bot happy)
After Desmond removed the cork, Hence the movie 2012 end of the world starts. And when Jack put the cork back in. That movie ends with world not actually ending.
Great way to connect the movie with Lost.
Great job, it all makes sense now. Thanks
Lost’s biggest problem.
It was too smart for a mainstream audience.
He gets it!
Fantastic Video - I love your thoughts, theories and opinions..............and i 100% agree with you on all of them as they all make sense. Well done champ and best wishes from Liverpool UK
Have to say one of the best explanations out here on RUclips, I re-watched it recently having last watched it 10 years ago as I was watching the finale don't know why but was filled with lots of emotions and just started crying especially when Kate met Jack again I just couldn't hold back the tears LOVE THIS SHOW FOREVER
Thank you! It is a very emotional show and powerful at times
tku for your clarification when answering Q4. That makes sense. It hadn't made sense to me before.
Season 1 10/10, Season 2 9/10, Season 3 9/10, Season 4 10/10 Season 5: Bat Sh*t Crazy Season 6: Dragged out 6/10
I loved when they did the last scene with jack and i finally understood what " live together die alone " meant where they kept jumping back and forth between jack dying alone without them and him being with them in the afterlife!!!
The show's very deep' devastating and amazing
Jack didn't die alone
That's why Vincent was there
I've never thought about a sequel but how you explained it and what could be in it would be awesome!
I love that u still love my all time favorite show. You would appreciate that I got to meet and hang with Ben in NY as he was a narrator for his wife's show. His wife oddly enough played his Mother on Lost :). I also met Sayid at a premiere. I also attended the producer's interviews and the museum in NY. Fun times!
Noway didn't know that about Ben. His wife played his mother 😂
Jack yep. Google it 😀
@@nomadicolours no need lol you just informed me of it 😂 fanx!
I got some questions. I think I could think of many more, but these are some that came to my mind:
1. Who built the huge statue on the beach and how? 2. Why is the black smoke monster afraid of ash? 3. How can Jacob teleport to any place in the world, speak any language, know literally everything and watch 7 bilion people on Earth to pick candidates? 4. Why were "The Others'' kindapping people and children? Were the lists of people written by Jacob? 5. What was all that Walt and animals thing about? Like he was somehow atracting animals or something idk. 6. Why Claire left Aaron in the middle of the night and never came back? 7. What were the whispers everyone was hearing in the jungle? 8. Why The Man in Black just didn't leave the island how Ben did (using this strange wheel which teleported him somewhere)? Why all the people couldn't leave the island this way? Ben knew how to do this. 9. How did Ben know about moving the island with that wheel and how does it even work?
These have all been answered
@@MMAFightMagazine where and by whom?
I love lost!!
My fav series by a long wayy!!
Im just about to watch it for the 3rd time myself.
I really enjoy the different levels it has and that alot dont get what its about.
Love your poster to!! Ps great video!!
Agree with what you said for me I'm addicted to this series I watched it 9 times. The other thing is Ben when he didn't go inside the church it meant one of the two things in my opinion :
He didn't find peace and didn't forgive himself and moved on.
OR
he still alive and the reason why he was there is cause others kept his memory as part of what they have been through. I hope that you watched the " 10min secret episode" which was released after the 6th season which explains alot if things, like who was kept sending food to the island and such.
Are you referring to the clip called The New Man in Charge?
@@SteelCityFandom Yes :)
It was a really fun show to watch while it was on air. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Its even better years later watching it again, it always gives more
Amazing video. Watched the show many times but the ending always had me somewhat confused as to what was real and what wasn't and watching your video really helped realize some things that are probably figurable as you listen to jack's father at the end but my brain likes to shut off when you most need it so yeah I never managed to figure everything out on me own. Thanks!
This was the most legit explanation i seen on RUclips
So Vincent is just on the island by himself? I’m calling the writers. We need a sequel. Gotta make sure that pupper is ok.
Vincent is probably With Bernard and Rose, Hugo also brought back Walt to the island in (Lost: new man in charge )
He back with walt
And hugo ben bernard rose
Maybe even ji Jeon Clementine
Could be in the fixed dharma village
Just finished it today, you cleared up quite a bit. I’d still like to know why women die if they get pregnant on the island. Great video!
Thank you! Yeah they never really went back to that, its like one of the angles they left on the writer room floor
They were in the afterlife no new life can be created. That's why.
The electromagnetism on the island was harmful to the baby.
This was one longggg show! The writers were writing out of their asses later on and some things were left as a mystery
@@erwinekkel9676 no they weren’t, it’s normal life
It is not just a church that they are meeting in. Remember that the church was also the Dharma station, the lamppost. Which was a connection to the island.
I always believed
That them moving on together as a group and not just with their soul mates
Was a gift from the island
Just a personal thought
Because we do se the flash sideways when eko dies
And it just hom and his brother
Eloise
Ben
Michael (if walt can help him move on)
Will do so with only 1 or 2 people with them
Fantastic explanation. Thank you!
Finally someone who explained it so it's all clear to me now. Finally!!!!
' The Island is the source of all good and evil in the world' it's amazing how you can say that with a straight face 😆
lol
thank u man so much you really explained it better than those who had real youtube channels for critics and commentary you should have channel for that bro
I love the questions it keeps me interested. My biggest question was what was up with the ancient society that lived on the island who built the temple and the statue. I know the statue is supposed to be symbolism for fertility so maybe they were having problems with giving birth because of the magnetic energy coming off the light. But some babies were born on the island so maybe it mattered on the proximity to where the light was being admitted from. Even though that would not make sense because the hydra island was miles away from the light but its just an idea.
I was thinking that a story involving Ji Yeon and Aaron may be cool.
They probably end up back on the island with hugo walt and Clementine(sawyers daughter)
The beginning of the new others
3 of those 4 questions are addressed directly from the show.
1. What is the Island....Who the fuck knows....its really the only unanswered question.
2. Why were they there, simple answer, plan crash lol. Deeper answer, they were all broken and the island is kinda a home to broken people that might give them purpose or another chance.
3 + 4. Because they go hand in hand. No they were never really dead UNTIL the flash sideways, the flash sideways was a midway afterlife station where they all could meet back up and remember their lives and connections to one and another, so they could all move on together into the next or real form of the afterlife. Once the memories were "unlocked" in the flash sideways, they were finally able to move on if they so choose to ( Ben being proof of this and his choice to stay behind for a while to work on things. )
BOOM answer given....
Omg the music.... chills I miss it
Michael Giacchino is a genius composer
This is the best explanation I've heard so far!
Thank you!
The KF Podcast I just watched the whole series for the first time and I really enjoyed it but I do believe they were dead the entire time. I respect your thoughts but doesnt’t sound so logical. If everything was real except the flash-sideways, I don’t see why would they show us that part and ignore the survivors story after they escape. The Dr. Linus/Alex story is pointless, Ben and Danielle are not in the church, that’s because they were not part of oceanic 815 but where is Michael, Walt or even Aaron?
1 Who are they? (Lost) sins
2 Where are they(Dharma)purgatory
3 How to go back(others)indulgence
4 Who went back? (boat) transition
5 How to return? (Time) penance
6 Why are they here(light) temptation
@@cesarnavarro930 it amazes me how many of you still don't understand it 🤦
Visisyd and the Void its clear, they were dead & all of that is real
It's your "soul group" the people who meant the most to you. I actually believe this in real life....
I think the reason why people think they were all dead the whole time is due to the very las scene, if you can call it that, where they show the plane crash site again, and it's empty, nobody is walking around... Seems to suggest that that is the reality, while everything we saw was not happening on this side of life.
I started believing it at the end of season 1 but then they plainly explain it not being the case in season 3 so I sort of didn’t believe it for a second but as it neared the end I held to my guns
Hey. Just finished lost for the second time. I noticed as I'm sure a lot did that Jin was the canteate because his wife got pregnant and had her baby. I mean when lock is in the cave with Sawyer and he says he doesn't know witch Kwan is the candidate. It's obviously Jin because his wife had her baby. So maybe it was always Jin. But definitely when lock says he doesn't know witch one it is in the cave to Sawyer.
Also would love a spin off of back when the statue was built and how Hugo got on. Him being the new Jacob he could of just touched Ben and made him immortal too. Great show!
ok somebody else HAS TO REMEMBER THIS cuz I'm going crazy about it.
When the Oceanic 6 managed to escape the island they showed flashforwards of their life in the real world and then we discover that Jin is not with them and is supposed to be dead, HOWEVER they show Sun giving birth but Jin is actually in China (I believe) with no recollection of his past life and he was engaged to a woman and then this is completely forgotten
and he actually managed to survive the freighter's explosion and ends up in the island again??
Am I the only one that remembers this??
Good video. One thing though was that Charlie was the first to realize in the flash sideways and showed Desmond.
I'm currently watching s4, I didn't mind the spoilers cuz I was totally lost by the flash forward to Jack's future. I was okay and getting it till that happened 😂
Thank you man from a fan from across the world [Syria]
Thanks 💚 now I can finish it with love not confusion.
You are welcome
After I saw the merchandise, especially the Jack as a doll, I got Lost. 🤣
I saw another vid and someone said they didn’t die at the same time and the church was final goodbye but not all of them were dead at the same time.
Awesome video. Have you by chance read The Dark Tower novels? There is an almost certainly coincidental but VERY weird connection to that series, the Numbers, and the candidates. I don't want to type it all out if you aren't familiar with the Tower though lol.
Great summary. I'd love to watch that show through again (I binged it on dvds from 2008-11) now that I know where it's heading I don't think the ending will bother me as much.
That said, season 6 wasted a LOT of time w/people just walking through the jungle when they could have been shooting, switching alliances, and slowly rolling out the reveal w/Allison Janney and the two boys instead of data dumping it all in the 3rd to last episode.
Good explanations thank you. Perhaps now I will rewatch the series as I was always dissapointed as I thought they were just dead lol.
I share your frustration with the purgatory, lol
I wish the island would make its rounds in other stories.
I saw a bonus scene with Ben and Hurley picking up Walt from a psyche ward and Hurley offers a Job. They could do something with that! Thay probably will, wonder years just came back, lol
Nicely explained brother. 👌 This show is so misunderstood. 😊
Explain how people went into the cave (that turns you into a smoke monster) to build a cork that doesn't actually function as a cork but as some kind of magic video game pressure switch that stops the flow of water into the flaming hole, making it the exact opposite of a fucking cork???
Why did Jacob get Widmore to bring Desmond? To do the thing in the finale? Then why did Jacob tell Widmore to do whatever it was AFTER all the Candidates were killed, and didn't tell Widmore where the Source is, so he wouldn't be able to find it?
Why doesn't Hurley just heal Jack's fucking wounds with his protector powers??? Do Jacob's healing powers only work when making Faustian bargains to force people into being servants like with Dogen's son or Juliet's sister???
Jacob needs a man of faith with leadership qualities? Why did he cross off Mr. Eko's name, giving the monster sanction to brutally murder him???
This show is so vague and stupid and dumb. Jacob is objectively a maniac serial killer. You're telling me that Daniel Rousseau "needed the Island as much as the Island needed her"??? Having her team murdered by the Smoke Monster, the rest infected and turned on her, then her child stolen by Jacob's cult (lucky she somehow didn't die in pregnancy like all the pregnant women!), then surviving all on her own until gunned down by mercenaries???
I understood the ending and what the flash sideways are, it's almost EVERYTHING ELSE, that is just total sadistic incomprehensible insane nonsense.
I agree I was massively disappointed when I finished it... it felt like there was mystery after mystery, cliffhanger after cliffhanger which never really ever amounted to anything or were resolved, just seemed to be a ploy to keep people watching the show.
@@Dan_wiles Right, it's all just a huge collection of MacGuffins, and unfortunately they barely make any kind of intuitive sense often on their own let alone in relation to each other. And they kept making up a bigger and bigger % of the show as it went on...
@@Sam-gs2wq You kinda didn't understood the show, like Jacob doesn't control the black smoke, he even hide from it, idem for the illness or pregnancy. Watch videos from "Lost explained" if you really wish to understand. Lost and it's extented universe is full of clues and in 2021 most of the questions have answers.
1
Because the Egyptians built the donkey wheel turned it and cracked open the hole the water flowed through (as ben said moving the island has consequences)
Nearly putting the light out
Reducing the power of the island
They built the cork put it in
And yes killed the ones who put it in (we see the skeletons)
This is how Jacob new mib would become mortal when Desmond removed it
2
Jacob told widmore the because he knew widmore would tell mib
As to con mib into removing the cork(as Sawyer said to Jack that's a long con)
3
Once the torch has been past the previous torch goes out (Olympic games) meaning once a protector passes on the job the previous protector dies
Great explanation thanks!
“Were they dead the whole time?” Absolute moronic question/statement
I just finished watching Lost an hour ago (first time watcher) I HAVE NO WORDS. TEARS. THAT IS ALL I HAVE. AND QUESTIONS. THATS WHY IM HERE. OK BYE.
Same feeling
It help dude, nice video!
What is the island
1 eden
We see Adam and eve (in cave)
Evil serpent (smoke monster)
Apple eat your banished(donkey wheel move you are banished)
2 Bermuda triangle
People or ships plains ect disappear
3 were we come from when we are born and go after we die
(There's a little peace of the the light in each of us
If the man in black won
And destroyed the island
The light in us can't go back so we all stuck in hell
May be thats why some people said that they didnt like the way the show ended, because they didnt get it.. To me, was brilliant, the only possible way to end this wonderful journey. Every character you see in sideways or purgatory is already dead, trying to make things right this time like Ben for instance, he had to choose between his carreer or Alex, but this time he decided to save Alex. So, everyone of them died in their own time. Someone of them may have died of natural causes and some others not. But when all of them die they got together to go to heaven, thats why you see a white light in the final scene that gives us a sense of that. And in the end, Move on song is so wonderful and moving.
I was just rewatching lost and season 1, episode 15 where Charlie got a job to impress a girl and then robbed her kinda blew my mind. Cuz one of the scenes he comes to her house and asks where her dad is and she says “buying some paper company in Slough”. I then checked and Slough is the place where British “The Office” was based!!!! Was that done on purpose???
Yes indeed. I believe JJ Abrams was a fan of the office and wanted to have that reference in there
thank You for your explanations I just finished watching season 6 Lost was really amazing and I needed to understand also why wasn't Walt and Michael at the reunion
So glad you enjoyed it thanks
Walt and Michael weren’t at the reunion because Walt probably doesn’t die for a long time ( he become the protector of the island ) and even then, Michael is not a positive influence on the lives of anyone in the Church - his sacrifice might have redeemed him for the sin committed by murdering Libby and Anna-Lucia but it does not necessarily mean he deserves a spot in the church. Michael likely has his own group of people to move on with - including Walt - but that cannot happen until Walt is dead and remembers his life in the flash-sideways.
Okay so I’ve got a question.. if the flash sideways is purgatory and they’re just going around trying to find their loved ones/friends after their time on the island “most important time of their life’s” and connect with each-other to move on, does that mean they’re dead at THAT time? But not actually dead in the original timeline.
You said that the flash sideways take place after they’ve died. So does that mean that just because it shows them all there in the church moving on, that they’re not necessarily dead in real life/on or off the island.
That scene in the church could take place 20 or 50 or 70 years after the last of them actually died in real life?
Exactly. It's out of time, Hugo for example is the new protector of the island, and like Jacob he could have lived 2000 years, but ended in the church with the other Losties.
thank you so much man for making this video, you fucking best explained what happened in the end
Thanks so much! Glad you liked it. Please let me know if there is another part of Lost you would enjoy a video about?

so you could make a video on the topic of your opinion about the characters from the series (who are your best, dearest, who annoyed you the most) scenes that surprised you the most, terrified you, of course if you are not a real video like that, I would like to hear your opinion 😀

@@karsonbollinger8412 yes! Did you watch the other videos on his Chanel? He’s got some pretty good theories 😊
I thought it was Charlie that "woke up" first, and got Desmond to start moving on?
Nope, Charlie only really woke up later on after Claire gave birth to Aaron in the flash-sideways. Charlie was mainly just depressed and suicidal at the start, but he definitely helped wake Desmond up when they were drowning after Charlie drove their car off the road.
Yea Charlie WAS the first. He saw claire and woke up desmond. Only reason he didn’t fully remember was because he was so high he browned out.
I don’t think Charlie was “awake” first. He had an awareness that something was not what it seemed. His attempt to show that to resulted in waking Desmond. Charlie didn’t wake until he saw Claire.
The problem I have with the flash-sideways and the ending is that it's irrelevant to the main story. It's basically after-life. You could have that in every movie, it's just an addendum. To me it's not really pertaining to the main story and doesn't add anything.
It wasn't a bad connection in the end considering how long was spent making it up as it went along. A collage of ish thrown against the wall that ended up an interesting mural.
The best explanation I heard
Thanks
People who hate the ending don’t understand it.
Amen brother!
This is how I felt too
I think the part that helped me the most was the list of Jacob's rules. It was a big "ohhhh.... ok" moment.
He MADE the Man in Black be a dick. That makes sense. That explains why Jacob was actually evil.
^kidding of course.
But the first 2 sentences were legit.
That last rule made me laugh though.
Yes a new series showing the Island should be made ......and that huge statue story should be revealed
Agreed
Need to do prequel seasons, 1 about the eqyptians statue people, 1 about the pirates and Richard. Another about what happened just before the dharma and another about the dharma initiative which eventually leads Into more sawyer / miles / Jin / Juliet and Faraday, Ben linus episodes. Could actually get some decent episodes now the main lost story has already been finished.

Awesome video man
Thanks
Secretly, Vincent was the ruler all along
Can someone explain how the ship crashed the whole statue and ended up inside the middle of the island? Also Jacob and his brother spotted the ship in the daylight but in the scene where they are shown crashing it is a stormy night? Can someone explain?
If you remember the island moves to different parts of earth
By its self which it does many times throughout the series ( eloise tells us in season 5 at the lamppost station)
We see this in season one
Is why they a have to move from the crash site to the beach camp site)
So you see the island on a nice sunny day
The island moves to wear a tsunami is that destroys the statue and places the black rock in the middle of the jungle
Got a question about Richard, the man who was granted immortality by Jacob.
Did his immortal status end once he left the island? Or maybe when Jacob died? Because I think people would notice if there was an immortal man back in the 'normal' world once he left on that plane...
Perhaps that's not answered and we just assume that he died at some point.
Yeah but he became mortal the moment Jacob's ashes were burnt , he had a scene with miles where he saw a grey hair on his head implying he finally is a mortal again
I guess you're theory is just as good as some of the others that I've heard 👍
Thanks man
The only way to make sense of it all is to say that the island's properties are as such that it coexists in our reality and the divine since many other characters are from different times/eras.
I couldn't imagine ABC putting together a cast this good again to bring the show back. Or any other network for that matter. I feel bad for anyone who watched this show without a decent surround sound system. They missed so much.
This show was a sick experiment to see how long they can get people to watch something that makes absolutely no sense
Im in season 5 rn. I realise how amazing and confusing this show would've been 10 15 years ago..
Fortunately i watched DARK before Lost.. once u watch DARK, every other Sci-fi/timetravel movie/show is elementary
Lost was ahead of its time; people just didn't get it.
It's been a long time since I've watched it, but I've just remembered this: Walt had the ability to manifest thought into reality sometimes, but he didn't know about his powers. Stuff that he thought about would just happen, correct me if I'm wrong. Couldn't Walt have created the whole island by accident when he was on the plane?
No
What walt could do is
Astro project (like prue in charmed Wanda and dr Strange in marvel )
This courses and electro magnetic field around his body
Which is why birds fly in windows or walls (home before island or in room 23 Shannon sees this when he appears to her
@@grantallen6573 If I remember correctly, the birds appear because Walt saw birds in a book and one of the episodes of the first season suggests that the white bear appeared in the island because he saw it in a comic book. So it seems that sometimes he can manifest things in the real world from his subcounscious thoughts.
@@sombra1111
The writers put that red herring in
To hide the real stuff
The polar bears were only on the island because dharma brought them there
The cages Sawyer and Kate were in
They escaped or the others/hostiles let them lose
The birds appeared because he was astonished projecting
Remember Michael being ask by the others
Has walt ever appeared somewhere he shouldn't
He astro projects when stressed or angry
At home angry because him parents are ignoring him
In room 23 stressed because the others are using the mind control equipment on him
@@grantallen6573 Yes, I remember all of that, but then again, he was angry at Michael on the plane, before it crashed into the island. So, it could still be all Walt's doing. The bears, Dharma and the island itself. He could be shifting between parallel universes according to his mood and subconscious thoughts. I don't think the things you said necessarily prevent that from being the case. I know Dharma is supposed to have been there for many years when they arrive, but that could be a parallel universe in which the island and Dharma exists for a long time. To create a place such as the island and for it to come into existence in the present, should have implications on the distant past as well, assuming things take time to form and doesn't appear out of thin air. Everything he manifested in the present had to start naturally in the past. Those birds had to be born in the past, the bears had to have an origin. So, to make things appear out of nowhere in the present, he changes all of the past as well, or simply shifts to one of the infinite parallel universes in which all of those things are and always were real. Walt was also shown the strugle between dark and light by Locke right at the begining with the black/white board game, which could have materialized Jacob and the man in black into existence (in other words, prompted Walt to switch to a parallel universe in which Jacob and the man in black existed for thousands of years). I realize that's almost certainly not where the writers were going with this, but I think it remains a possibility and that is cool. One thing I think we can agree, though, is that the writers did not reveal 100% of what was going on with Walt. I think they leave it to interpretation.
not that you are wrong at all cuz it all makes good sens when you explain it. But it really just sound like a stupid plot... Good video mate!
lol thanks
I thought the island was the centre point of collective consciousness. Life and death And rebirth. The heart of creation. Essentially the lifeblood of the earth. The glue that holds existence together. If a pocket of energy is cracked and the energy spoons out, Then you're essentially cutting the jaguar vain of the Earth. that good and evil analogy was only described to Richard. Because that's the only way Richard a religious man would understand it.
The dead people was Jacob guiding 815 survivors via the island. This explains Walt being alive who Shannon saw when he was on a different side of the island. However some of them are the man in black guiding them as seen with ekos brother (yemi) who the smoke monster pretended to be for a while before killing him because he was a candidate. In conclusion the dead you see on the island are Jacob and his brother pulling strings while the living live their destiny on the island and those who die are in the church with them (because time don’t matter there)P.s Charlie was the island using Charlie’s soul from heaven via Jacob to talk to Hurley but Jacob still had to see him in person eventually. I think Christian at the beginning was the island because it ultimately guided them to the cave where the water is but it collapsed not too long after so it could have been the smoke idk but Christian in the shack with Claire was the smoke when locke came in.
Thanks for making this video. I dont mean any disrespect towards you, but I disagree with you on about half of the info on this video. First off, I dont think the flashsideways is purgatory. The flashsideways is just another life that is just as real as the life the Losties lived in the island timeline. In "Ab Aterno" Richard told Jack while on island that he was dead and in hell. Jack also realized he was dead in the flashsideways when he saw Christian in the church. What I mean is that the flashsideways we saw was another life we see into that occurs after the island timeline, but there are also previous lives before the island timeline. Richard considered Jack dead on island not because the island is purgatory, but because Jack died in a previous life and was reborn into the life where we see their time on the island. Jack realized he was dead in the flashsideways, but this doesnt mean he was in purgatory. He just realizes his previous lives where he had died. In "Aceoss the Sea" Mother told Jacob that the light is life, death, and rebirth. Desmond told Jack in the final episode that when Desmond goes into the light he will go into the flashsideways. The light is where new life comes into this life and is reborn from a previous life. Here is some proof. In 4x11, Richard visits 6 year old Locke in 1960s and puts out things before Locke. Richard asks which of these things are yours already. He is asking like Locke lived a previous life. Additional evidence for this theory is Richard finds that 6 year old Locke drew a picture of the smoke monster. Maybe from a previous life. In season 1, the next life has been mentioned. Nadia says that on back of a picture to Sayid in 1x9. In 1x16, Christian tells Sawyer in the Austraillian bar, that he is currently in hell. Also, in 1x11 and 1x22, semantics is mentioned like it is a clue that the viewers should understand some comments from characters should be taken in othet ways. For example, Michael says he was a construction worker in a previous life. In the pilot, Rose says the smoke monster sounded familar. Like maybe she remembers it from a previous life? In the pilot, Kate says Charlie is familar. She later thinks it is because Charlie is from Driveshaft. However, is it because they have met in a previous life? Remember Rose thought smoke monster sound was familar.
I disagree. Think about this. If the flash sideways is just a different “alternate life” for the survivors, why is the reunion and final get together of the survivors after they died only in the flash sideways. Why do they die and all come together and move on together but we never actually SEE them die in this so called alternative life. If it truly was another life then how is the reunion and ultimate realization of their deaths go right along with normal events. They go from a concert in this life to all of them dead and in the churh,? No, It’s because it’s not an alternative life, it’s the after life. After all of them had died, they hadn’t made peace, they still needed each other. That’s what the flash sideways was for. They all lived their afterlives different than their actual life. Once they all had started to gather the remembrance of their actual living lives and be together and as Christian says “move on”. They could finally be at peace.
@@braydenkukla1858 I agree with your theory, but I think what people are getting at is there is all of these different lives that could have happened, the flash sideways was all of those lives coming together and them moving on together to live their life. I think...
The Flashsideways is purgatory. I'll try to debunk your theories as mentioned. Richard is at wits end and claims they're all dead and in hell because he partly feels like it. He can't die. He can't be with his love. It's got to be hell. Desmond tells Jack he is going to a better place where they're all together because he does think he's going to the sideways world when he pulls the cork out. But he doesn't. This is why he screams, "Nooooo!". Richard visits 6 year old Locke because old Locke has already visited him 6 years and some months earlier. This is also the reason why Richard visits the birth of Locke. Locke told him to go there if he doubted his story. Locke draws pictures of the smoke monster because somewhere in his subconscious he remembers the smoke monster because time travel to be honest. I can't get into the specifics of that because I'm not educated enough. Rose thinks the monster sounds familiar because the writers said that they used some sounds from the new York subway cars to make it. This is kind of a fourth wall break with Rose noticing that it sounded like a subway train. Now to examples as to why it is purgatory... The cut on Jacks neck is because Flocke cut him. The Flashes people see as they realize that they are dead are from their lives (on and off island). Jacks death and Juliet's death are the most positive enforcers of the fact. When Juliet dies in 6-1 she is having the very conversation she and Sawyer have in the flashsideways as she's dying. The two are happening at the same time. "We'll go Dutch" "kiss me Blondie".Jack is also walking through the church as he's walking to his dying spot through the Jungle of the island. Rewatch and tell me what you think.
i still dont understand why Michael and Walt were not in purgatory with everybody else. was it because Michaels spirit was trapped on the island and he could not move on? but then why wouldnt Michael have been on the plane when it landed in LAX. and i also dont understand why Mr Eko and Anna Lucia werent in purgatory either (besides when she was a cop and helped Kate, Sayid, and Desmond escape)
