When all three of you wiggle wiggle wiggled I died a little. That was the most adorable pure shit I've ever seen. Also I fully forgot you were American when you said I'm in me mum's car. It was perfect.

Knowing that Richard Harris (Dumbledore) actually thought Fawkes was a real bird and not computer controlled makes the scene where Fawkes comes back from burning sooo much cuter
FUN FACTS:
* Harry's new room used to be Dudley's second bedroom (yes he ahd two while HArry was under the stairs). They let Harry have it after being worried about Dumbledore knowing they kept him in a cupboard.
* Mudblood is the Wizarding World's equivalent of a racial slur. The right term is Muggleborn (Hermione), then Halfboods for people born with one pure parent and one muggleborn/muggle/halfblood parent (Harry), then Pure Bloods. Some crazy Pure blood families marry cousins to keep lines "pure".
* There are also Squibs. People who are born from wizard parents but have no magic. Example would be Filch, the castle janitor.
* Gilderoy Lockheart never gets his memories back lol. He's mostly stuck in a hospital for the duration of the series.
I think Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) was by far the best actor of all the kids in the first year at least! But they’re all great. Imagine how much work went into these movies. I believe they said the first one was 11 months and the literally had a weekend off after filming Sorcerers stone before they began filming for the chamber of Secrets ! (Mainly bc the kids were growing so fast that if they didn’t go straight into it, then the kids wouldn’t appear the right age for the film /book. Can’t wait to see you guys do the rest of these! Great job!
That scene at the end where Hagrid comes back makes me cry so much now🥹 Everyone loved him so much and I can’t believe he’s gone

You guys are easily one of my favorite reaction channels! So laid back and genuine but so much fun! I'm really glad you guys are watching Harry Potter too. Fun fact! In the book, Papa Weasley fought Papa Malfoy for talking shit about his family. Wish they'd kept that tbh. There's also a very much unconfirmed fan theory that the page Draco ripped out of the book in the bookstore was the page Hermione had in her hand and that he somehow planted it to help them in secret. That wasn't in the book so a lot of people wondered why it was included in the movie, assuming it had to be relevant somehow. Though he could have also just been a jerk kid ruining things lol. Anyway, a lot of people argued that Hermione being such a goody goody and book lover, would have never ripped out a page from a book. It's also a small theory that he was the one who sent Dobby. A lot of fans actually like Draco and theorize his possible actions behind the scenes were very different from how he outwardly presented himself. though JK Rowling even said she didn't like that fans tried making him to a be a nice kid than he was. Still fun theories though.
Thank you for sharing that . Interesting. This is very similar to the actions of his mother's cousins Regulus and Serius so it's possible. I also wish they kept the scene in the last movie when he gave Harry his wand.

Blood-status is a big thing in the wizarding world. You will see much more in future films.
There are four like categories of blood-status:
*Pure-bloods*
Wizards with both magical parents. There are also some specific families that in past years chose to marry members of their own family for keeping their magical blood pure. There are 28 families (one of them are the Malfoys) that they have a background of only magical ancestors! Because of that they consider themselves superior to other half-bloods.
*Half-bloods*
Half bloods are wizards that they have one magical parent and one muggle parent.
Generally if you even have half-blood parents in you family tree you were a half-blood, meaning that your blood have been spoil with muggle, non-magical blood.
*Muggle-borns*
This is an interesting group of people. Muggleborns are people like Hermione. Even though both of her parents are muggles she was born with magical blood/magical abilities.
These people were bullied and discriminated by Purebloods by calling them mudbloods, people that they have dirty blood meaning that their pure blood are superior to theirs muggle/magical blood!
*Squibb*
Squibbs are the exact opposite of muggleborns. They are children that even thought both of their parents are magical, these people do not possess magical powers…
The caretaker Mr. Filtch for example is a Squibb! His parents were wizards but he cannot do magic. If you pay attention in the next films you won’t see him even having a wand…
I’m not taking Slytherin’s side here but there’s a huge background story behind the Basilisk in the chamber of secrets!
In ancient years muggles were killing wizards and witches. Even other members of the magical community turned against the wizards, like the goblins.
They help the muggles and they declared war against the wizards that they eventually won.
after these events, the magical communities around the world decided and they signed the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy.
They decided to hide their existence from the muggles! Also, they forbade the goblins and the elves to use wands because they could use magic without magic anyway and they had been a pain in their @$$ for years!
At Hogwarts now, Salazar Slytherin who hated the muggles and considered them a threat to the Wizarding world decided to take precautions and secure the future witches and wizards in the case that the muggles discovered and and turned against them again!
He breed a Basilisk in the castle in secret and hide it inside the chamber thy only him could access.
He hide it there as a security measure because Basilisk could kill with only a stare and spells don’t work on them.
One correction there are 28 Pure Blood families. They even call them the Sacred 28.

There aren't only 28, the Sacred 28 are just known for maintaining a negative or neutral stance towards blood mixing and muggles (and the author, biased shit he was). Foreign wizarding families aren't included, and neither are families such as the Potter's due to the fact their name sounds "too muggle"
Ralph Fiennes (end Voldemort) did an AMAZING job at being truly evil in Schindlers List. That is a movie everyone should see but not really enjoyable. You have to be in the right mindset to watch it.

weird fact about me, I used to have extreme arachnophobia just seeing a spider felt like it was vividly crawling on my skin. I decided to rid myself of the phobia by using exposure therapy. In short words, I have 3 pet tarantulas and I can look at them now. Not touch them but I rid myself of the extremities

Cool thing is, several of these classic scenes were completely ad-libbed. The Draco line, “I didn’t know you could read” and the exchange between Lucius and Harry at the end “Let us hope that Mr Potter will always be around to save the day” and Harry responding “Don’t worry, I will be” we’re both completely on the fly by both actors! (As well as Lucius’ attempted killing curse toward Harry! He said he wanted to add a curse and that was the only one he could remember at that moment lollll) Love it!

There's lots of Latin references throughout these films, especially with names, Draco is Latin for dragon, and it's also in the Hogwarts moto "Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus" which means "never tickle a sleeping dragon"
Unsurprisingly Severus Snape's name comes from the Latin severus, meaning grave, serious or stern
What a classic school motto. Kids would be far more motivated if their schools had such boss mottos that included tickling and dragons

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet but the scene near the beginning with Draco's dad & Arthur Weasley talking in the shop in Diagon Alley, in the books Arthur actually starts a physical fight with Draco's dad right there in the store after he makes the comment about how their "family could sink no lower.." just something interesting I remembered from the books 👍
the first 2... are okay. kinda christmas vibe.... but from the third movie on... BEST SERIES ever💕

In the movie Harry inexplicably wasn't able to say "Diagon Alley" correctly. In the book Harry inhaled the soot of the fireplace that lingered after Ron's usage. No wonder he mispronounced it while coughing.

In the books, Vernon Dursley moved Harry from under the cupboard hoping that the letters would stop if he moved. Also they were ashamed that someone knew how badly they had been treating Harry so they moved him into Dudley ‘a second bedroom lol

If you had watched extended version you would have seen lucius and draco in the pawn shop borgin and burkes where harry landed. He was selling things he did not want to be found if ministry searched his house. The place sells dark magic items.
In the books it's implied Gilderoy put a charm on himself, which is why all the women are so enamored with him

i can see why Harry Potter has so much appeal and why this character has so many fans. I was an avid fan, though not really now. I have all the books and would use to buy the latest book, when it came out. It was the trend then, when you buy the newest book.

Harry gets a bedroom in his 12th year of life because, as Uncle Vernon says,
‘We even let you have Dudley's second bedroom purely out of the goodness of our hearts.’
Probably scared of Harry’s magic and a bit scared into it by Dumbledore. Anyway Dudley had two bedrooms his whole life while Harry had a cupboard. Dudley was pretty shocked to lose it I think, if I remember correctly - he threw a tantrum and it didn’t even work!
