Can u guys just make a video on what is over grip and what is replacement grip...how many grips should i put in a tacket? I got a new racket yesterday... already the racket comes with a company protection grip..i added a cushion grip on top of it!!! So should i also need to put a over grip on top of cushion grip? Adding totally 3 grips to a racket??
Thanks for all these advices folks ! It's maybe the less viewed video on your channel but the cool down one is definately the one I needed. I train late with my club ( we finish at 23.00 on wednesday and friday) and I was struggling getting to sleep at night and getting ready in the morning but cooling down helped A LOT ! Good luck on your journey in Asia ! Wish you the best
I have been waiting for a recovery video like this for a while, great tips for both on and off the court. Excited to try them out and see what works best for me.
Great video! I want to play on a big level and I have big dreams for badminton but I just don't have even have a coach to train me throughout my journey. I can't go out to join any academy because of financial reasons but I have seen your videos from the beginning of my journey till now. I have played at a national level just by watching your videos and training with my 3 friends. I need a coach so badly but I just don't have the money to have one. You both have been the greatest people for me.❤
Eating a Vegemite sandwich is a great help (lots of Vit Bs), good ol' water mixed with a pinch of Iodine salt in a ordinary 1ltr cordial bottle is also great. I keep losing my ubeaut drink bottle. Whenever I play in temperatures in the 40c heat, staying cool after each game is important. Drinking water, and a cool wet hand towel draped over the face is very beneficial. Kudos to your videos.
Thank you Dantes, I really appreciate your sharing cause I’ve been there thinking that the grind excuse me of treating my family/friends carelessly. That remains the single thing I regret most about, hope many can take reference from your valuable experience and my mistake.
@@BadmintonInsight Science-based breathing exercises are: Physiological sigh's, or 4-7-8 after training and just doing them regularly like when going to sleep to calm down the nervous system. Thank you for reply. Didnt catch the match but im sure you guys will be back. There is so many questions i could ask you but page wouldnt be long enough.
Very good and nice tips. What really helps with me is a message gun. You should definitely try this before, during and after the games. But maybe both of you have a personal masseur. Then you don't need that. Keep enjoying badminton.
I can vouch for negative impacts of dehydration on performance. I avoid drinking water from my friends bottle. So on days I forget bringing my water or somebody else finishing mine... I start feeling tired and agitated mid session and wanna call it a day while my peers are gearing up for another best of 3. 😂
Regarding sleep I really tried everything for decades to not be always tired and totally listless, including the things you mentioned. But the only thing that finally worked for me is lying down and sleep WHENEVER (totally disregarding the clock) I feel tired and sleep until I wake up by myself. I know it sounds crazy and obviously not everyone is allowed to do this but as you said, everyone is different and finally I got a lot of energy and a normal sleeping rythm. The body is very good at regulating itself when you let it do its thing and listen to it.
Hello Greg and Jenny , I have watching your videos for one year and I have improved a lot in the year . I am a young badminton player but I have a big problem in moving out of the corners especially rear court backhand. I sometimes tend to fall down in the corner as a result I am not able to receive the next shot well . Can you tell me what should I do?
Thanks for More really useful advice. I drink milk as much as water after matches or practice as studies show they also are naturally high in electrolytes. Also if you do have to use a screen in the evening most devices have a blue light removal option which can help. Thanks again for all the great content.
I've been seeing a lot of influencer advertising for AG1 the last half year, so I am actually quite surprised that you enjoyed them! I guess that's as good of an advertisement that I'll ever be able to get for them, haha. :D
Thanks for the great video. One question: If you have to play multiple matches in a day, do you cool down after every match or only after the final one?

Hi! Do you guys have any tips for shoulder recovery? My right shoulder gets quite sore and tight after a long badminton session, and with gym training as well I'm not sure if it would lead to injury.
I will no longer feel so bad winning 21-2 at the socials. 😁 A player at the social who works as a nurse told me to continue eating snacks between social sessions. She said players eating a small meal will be too slow & will make more mistakes. Time to 😴💤!
